Always helpful and caring. Baby loves going here and is always very well looked after. The nursery have been really good with helping us sort things out and medical issues needing a bit of extra attention.

Amazing nursery setting that's helped our little son come on so far as to taking his first steps, learning new words and interacting with other young children his own age. I would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a local childcare setting.

Elm House Day Nursery Gateacre is the most gorgeous nursery ever. My older daughter went to Elm House so it only felt right for me to let my baby girl follow when we had her. To say I trust their staff with my life is an understatement. From the moment we walked in and still to this day every single member of staff has been so accommodating, professional and polite at all times. You sense that they treat each child as they would their own and that's what makes them so special knowing how safe she is whilst having to work. My baby girl has come on leaps and bounds in only the few months she has been here, I can't wait to watch her blossom with the help of all the staff. 100% would always recommend this nursery, would be lost without them.

My 18 month daughter loves going to nursery and I could not speak more highly of the staff - their loving nature and kindness is evident every single day - all the team are an absolute pleasure to deal with and they keep me informed on activities/food/sleep on a daily basis

My little boy started in baby room at the end of September, he absolutely loves it. He attends two mornings a week and we can already see how much he is coming on, he seems to understand more and had the chance to get involved in all kinds of activities, so far he has done painting, making pictures and dance exercise. I love the updates I get from the staff in the room, they already know his likes/dislikes. All the girls have gone above and beyond to settle him in and we are so grateful. We feel at ease when he's at nursery as we know he is well looked after.

Our little boy absolutely loves coming to nursery twice a week. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting in terms of talking and understanding, and physically also eg using cutlery etc. He has a brilliant time with the staff a few of whom he has a really special bond with. They all treat him really well and he comes home happy and full of things to say. He's only 20 months and has been going since he turned 1 - he settled in quickly despite never being away from me for more than a few hours before. He eats well-balanced meals, does loads of activities, and is clearly well cared for. Couldn't speak more highly of the staff.

I was really nervous about moving my little boy from his original setting as we moved to the area but then we visited Elm House. Instantly put at ease and everything was explained fully for us. Our little boy is currently awaiting assessment for ASD and the nursery have been amazing. From meeting with us and his old setting prior to him starting, to helping us ensure referrals had been made to the correct places, nothing has been too much trouble. Honestly couldn't feel more at ease if I tried, even getting support with the next steps which will be my little one's transition to primary school. Cannot thank the Manager and little one's key workers and SEN enough. You truly are amazing and we are so grateful!

I've recently moved and decided to find a nursery closer to my home for my little boy who's nearly 3, I was worried about moving him as he did love going to the nursery he was in but it just wasn't realistic. I found Elm House and went for a visit and I couldn't have been happier, so much to do for the children and every member of staff was so kind and welcoming. My son had his first-hour session today to get settled in and he went in all smiles and came out having made loads of new friends and had a lovely time. Also, the attention to detail in the application forms was impeccable from what your child's likes and dislikes are, down to their daily routine, they couldn't have made the handover process more smooth and they left no stone unturned in truly getting to know my son before he even starts. Thank you so much to everyone at Elm House for doing such an amazing job. Couldn't have found a better place for him to be.

Would definitely recommend Elm House, with my child being only 9 months old I was really worried about leaving her and finding the best nursery. As soon as I went into Elm House everyone was so welcoming and friendly and interested in the baby, it made me feel at ease. She had three settling-in sessions and absolutely loved them, she didn't want to leave there. She's now started full time and I couldn't be happier with her being there.

Couldn't recommend Elm House enough. I was dreading going back to work and leaving my little boy but he absolutely loves going to nursery and that is down to the caring and nurturing staff. The girls are so welcoming, always answering the door with a smile. I am a really anxious person by nature but the girls have all helped with that, keeping me updated through the day as to what my little boy is up to, nappies, food and naps. The nursery itself is really spacious and they have adopted a Montessori approach to how the rooms and toys are displayed. They follow the philosophy of Albert Bowlby who believed that the bonds children made in their early years significantly impacted their later years, placing an emphasis on the role of caregivers in a child's life. This is certainly true of Elm House, all the staff are so involved with my little boy and I have already seen the progress he has made within a couple of weeks.

My son started this nursery in March, he’s never been away from me since he was born and I was very anxious about putting him in nursery, l did look around but found Elm House Nursery so welcoming and they made me feel at ease. The best choice I made and the staff are lovely.

My daughter started Elm House nursery this year (2022). The staff are amazing. My LG has a health condition and the staff/manager and owner went above and beyond to knowledge themselves on her HCP. My LG has blossomed so much since starting Elm House and is so excited every morning to get ready and go. We have trouble on a weekend when it’s not nursery days lol. Can not thank Elm House staff enough for the care they take every day looking after my LG and all her nursery friends. Thank you Elm House staff.

My daughter enjoys going to the nursery. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and communication with parents is great. The children do a range of activities and everyone is very accomodating of individual children's needs and parent's wishes. The nursery celebrates lots of events for the children to get involved with.

Staff are approachable and are always happy to communicate how the day has gone which makes us feel really valued as parents.

My little boy started Elm House in October and has come on leaps and bounds! He runs in every session with a big smile on his face and never looks back and comes out giggling. The staff are so kind and caring and he has built such lovely relationships with them. I feel so confident in leaving him in their care knowing he is so looked after.

Our little girl has never been in the care of people she is not familiar with so we were quite anxious about her starting. She is attending nursery three days a week and although she has only just started we can already see that she is settling more and more on each visit. This is down to the caring and friendly staff on site. We receive a written update at the end of every day and pictures are often sent throughout the day, which I love to see. Getting regular updates and pictures really does help to see how she is doing and it highlights the hard work being done by the staff. The girls never make you feel like you cannot call them to check up on your child and they are always willing to talk through her day as well. We are so pleased we chose Elm House for our little girl and we cannot wait to see how much she grows and develops under their amazing care. This nursery is a must-see, you won't be disappointed.

My 2 children attend Elm House and we are so pleased with how they settled in, the girls are lovely and always give you time to talk through the child's day. My wee boy was a covid baby and had never been to Nursery but he's settled in so well and runs in the door now. Would most definitely recommend Elm House.

My little boy has been here since October 2021. He is only in 1 day a week but is now starting to settle and play and eat well. The girls always keep me informed on how he’s doing and if he’s been having fun and doing well or a bit unsettled. They always say feel free to call and check on him through the day. They are lovely welcoming girls. I like to receive his daily slip which sets out his nappy changes, food/milk intake, naps, and little daily update of play. It really helps to keep me in the know about how he got on that day. I really like the layout of the nursery. The nursery will also provide a print-out of photos if you ask them which is lovely.

My son has been at this nursery since Feb, he absolutely loves it and always coming home with a fun story to tell, the girls have always got time to talk and the Manager is lovely they are so interactive with the children and always doing educational fun things with them, I have never thought twice about the nursery from the minute I walked in it’s spotless up to standards and my boy looks forward to going in, could not rate it enough.

My son started at this nursery after moving from another. I was worried he would miss his old routine, surroundings and friends, but the girls are amazing with him.

They even gave me a canvas with pictures of him from his first day, which was a lovely gesture.

The owner and manager are lovely, really approachable and assuring.

My son has been on lots of lovely little trips with the nursery, including the library, park and fruit/veg picking, which he loves.

The nursery itself is spotless, bright and full of children's artwork. They have a toy for every child's interest and a lovely outdoor play area.

I am really pleased I picked this nursery, my son has come on leaps and bounds. He has settled wonderfully, made lots of new friends and loves the staff.
