My child has been coming to Newhouse for over a year and over this period he has blossomed so much. Every time he comes home from nursery, he’s in such a good mood and always tells me what a fantastic day he’s had. The girls at Newhouse are all so lovely and they’re amazing teachers. They really take
the time to get to know each child, which makes me feel so much better, knowing my son is in the best of hands.

My little boy has attended Newhouse Nursery For the past 2 years he started in toddler room and now is in preschool.
When my child first started I would struggle to be able to drop him off as he would get upset and wouldn’t let me go. He was very fussy and would only eat certain things but with the
support, encouragement and reassurance given by the staff he has come on so much in preschool.
He comes home telling me about his day and his friends, the staff members always get a mention.
The staff members are helpful and flexible when they can be.
As a mother who’s child was shy and wouldn’t leave my side 2 years ago I truly believe that his progress has been massively improved by the care and support given and there person-centred care identifying the needs of the child and meeting their wellbeing needs.
They really are a little family and my child now is excited every time he goes which makes the mum guilt so much easier.

We’ve been sending our little boy here since he was 10 months old, he’s now 27 months. Our little boy absolutely loves nursery! All of the girls are so wonderful with the children, every staff member knows who our son is which I think is so lovely. The staff recognise his areas of interest and consistently
help him flourish his interests and hobbies. When my little boy was still in the baby room he showed interest in dinosaurs and nursery provided picture cards with the dinosaurs names and image... there’s now not a single dinosaur he doesn’t know and often gives his uncles a run for their money! I would highly recommend this nursery (and have done in the past!) Thank you for all you do for our son and us as parents, Newhouse! His little brother will be joining next year and I know he will be in the best hands.

Such a great nursery, with very caring and attentive staff. My little one has attended since it first opened aged 1, he is currently in pre-school and is thriving. He absolutely loves its here, he gets upset at the weekends as he can't go into nursery! No matter who you are dealing with at the nursery,
the staff are professional and kind really go the extra mile for you. I can't fault the nursery in any way, they have been a huge support to us with my little one and still are!

My daughter started Newhouse Nursery in the baby room and is now in preschool. She absolutely loves going and always talks about her friends at nursery (staff are also her friends). I love the fact that the staff doesn't turnover like many nurseries, which I think is great that my daughter can always
be comforted by a familiar face. I find the staff great and very helpful. Since joining preschool my daughter has come on so much with her learning as she goes more due to the 3 year old grant. I would highly recommend Newhouse, which I have done so to many parents.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.925)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.925) out of 10 for Newhouse Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 30 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.925 for Newhouse Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (333 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 358 Ratings = 4.925
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Newhouse Nursery is based on 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 number of registered child places is 9.6, which has been reached with 30 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
