The Learning Experience East Finchley

Both my sons love coming to this nursery, the staff are so knowledgeable and caring and they do so many fun and educational activities with the children. The ppecial educational needs co-ordinator has helped us so much, as one of my sons has additional needs, and he's thrived at the nursery. They've gone above and beyond what we hoped for helping him to learn and grow and the nursery feels like a second home for my children. We would highly recommend it.

We knew we wanted our son to attend The Learning Experience after we had such a great experience sending our daughter there two years prior. The staff are so lovely, knowledgeable and attentive, and the school itself is clean, organised and well-run. We get regular updates throughout the day on what our son is doing, and he always looks so happy and busy. We're confident he'll be just as ready for Reception as our daughter was, which was well beyond expectations.

Helpful update/feedback at the end of day.

Settled not handled well. Pre-filled forms not read. Different staff on the last day of settle so daughter was distressed. Disregard by cover staff of her dietary needs (she was on milk ladder). Regular lies about key worker being on a day off when she was in fact covering other rooms. Too much office staff but not enough classroom staff. Meals were often different from the menu. There were several consecutive days where baked beans were served for tea, this led to really bad stomach aches in the middle of the night for days. Told by office staff to 'find a chair from any classroom' to hold open the glass door to access the buggy room. On many occasions, staff didn't even notice me slip in and out of a classroom by the front door which is a huge safeguarding concern. Paid to keep her spot in Infant A (Xmas) but emailed she was moving up rooms (she could not stand up). Loads of merchandising.

I can't say enough good things about The Learning Experience Day Nursery. It has been a wonderful environment for my child, where he feels happy and secure every day. The staff are exceptionally loving and caring, treating each child with kindness and respect. They make every effort to ensure that children are comfortable and engaged. One thing that stands out to me is how well the teachers handle moments when my child feels unsettled. They are quick to offer reassuring cuddles and use books and toys to distract and engage him, taking into account his personal interests which helps my child feel at ease. The communication with parents is also excellent. I always receive positive feedback during pickups, keeping me informed about my child's day and progress. It's reassuring to know that the staff genuinely care about his development and well-being. I highly recommend The Learning Experience Day Nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing environment.

We love The Learning Experience. It has a wonderful curriculum, healthy eating, focus on kindness, play, and knowledge. The activities for the children are inventive and fun and my daughter especially loves the leap board. I am impressed that my daughter at the age of 3 1/2 can spell her name and is currently working on writing it. It is a great place and we are very happy with the care and education she receives at The Learning Experience.

The Learning Experience is a lovely setting and the staff are amazing and go the extra mile to make sure the children are looked after and cared for and safe. The level of learning is amazing as well as the feedback given at the end of the day.

We had no choice but to immediately remove my children in January 2024 after witnessing a horrific episode of verbal abuse by a senior member of staff. The teacher was screaming and shouting in my children’s face, whilst towering over them as they were sobbing. There is a huge lack of professionalism from most members of staff. A lot of agency staff so the children rarely have consistency in the teachers they see each day. We have subsequently had to seek therapy for our young children to help them deal with the immense trauma they experienced at The Learning Experience. I am horrified and let down that I trusted this nursery to safeguard my children, when in fact they did nothing but scare and mentally/verbally abuse them. This nursery doesn’t care about anything except £! Avoid this nursery if you care about the development and safety of your little ones. They are the future.

It's not often a company truly lives up to its promise, but 'happy happens here' is spot on for The Learning Experience. The staff are all so friendly and happy and seem to love what they do and where they work. This translates into visibly happy children in each room. Handing your baby over to strangers is such a scary thing, but The Learning Experience has made the process so much easier than expected. The place is spotless too!

Fantastic nursery made possible by the fantastic management and staff. The staff are so caring and loving towards the kids, the management is very attentive to whatever is brought to them, and the kids all seem happy there. The chef is also one of the nicest people you could meet, just like all of the staff from top to bottom. Kids get plenty of exercise and physical activity when the weather permits which is also a big positive. Overall a fantastic experience for us. Sometimes our 3-year-old doesn't want to leave whenever I go to pick him up early on work-from-home days.

I am happy to recommend this nursery. My child settled in very well and has a lovely relationship with the nursery staff. The staff are all very approachable and friendly. I feel completely at ease knowing he is safe, happy, and well looked after. He loves the food, and the updates throughout the day are great. The activities are always changing and relevant to the current topic, and my child particularly loves the sensory tuft trays.

Luckily, we found another nursery. She is thriving. No tears at pick-up and drop-offs. The staff is caring and provide good feedback.

I could not be happier with The Learning Experience. All the staff are lovely, supportive and caring. My 8-month-old settled in and loves attending nursery. The facilities are bright, clean and colourful. Activities are fun, varied and support development. There is a lovely garden as well. I feel 100% comfortable that my child is being well looked after.

As a first time mother, I was apprehensive about leaving our daughter to go back to work. However, The Learning Experience have been really caring and supported me to settle her in. Now she loves it there and the staff are so lovely, they all know her name and make us all feel like part of the family! She eats like a queen and sleeps well there, and has a good connection with her key worker and the other staff. The team are always smiling and seem to love their jobs which is a good sign! The app is also good at keeping us up to date. I would highly recommend.

I really couldn't ask for anything more from a nursery. The staff are so helpful, friendly and really look after both of my beautiful girls. They make a fuss of them and ask us how we are. The girls are learning things all the time and making friends in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They go out of their way to treat your children as individuals and make sure they get all the support they need. I received updates throughout the day and know the children are kept busy with the activities that make up their wonderful curriculum. Thanks to everyone who works there.

I can't say enough good things about The Learning Experience. Our daughter loves it and always runs in without a backwards look. The building is incredibly well appointed with colourful spotless rooms full of fun toys, it's also lovely and warm in winter and air-conditioned in summer. Access is easy with the car park. The staff are just lovely and really care for the kids. The curriculum is really amazing, I always see her doing lots of fun things every day even learning Spanish and yoga! Food is also healthy and yummy. The app is excellent. Honestly delighted with The Learning Experience.

Our son and niece are so happy at The Learning Experience. Our son runs in happily every morning and has a wonderful relationship with the staff. Everyone in the whole nursery knows every child's name, which is lovely and creates a warm atmosphere. He sleeps well there, eats well there and they have a vast selection of toys and activities for the children. The app is a fantastic way to keep in touch with parents and the car park makes drop-off and pick-up incredibly easy for us too.

Brilliant nursery, we are so happy sending our little girl here. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Every time we pick our girl up, she is smiling and the staff have built a genuine connection with her, which is lovely to see. Nothing to fault, we recommend the nursery to everyone we know!
