Little Pears Nursery Limited in Pynes Hill, Exeter, aims to offer outstanding childcare and education to all their children through a fully child-centred approach.

As a small setting, the nurturing and caring staff take a personal approach to childcare and the curriculum is planned on an individual basis, depending on each child's requirements and developmental stage.

Each child is allocated a dedicated key person to ensure their individual needs are catered for and their development is nurtured. All children are encouraged to become independent and inquisitive learners while building positive relationships with their peers.

The nursery environment is calm and homely and promotes the use of natural resources and everyday up-cycled objects to engage the children in their learning and encourage imaginative play. Curiosity is encouraged and children are able to choose their own way to use the resources in the nursery setting.

All children's care needs are fully met by the team whilst promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity.

All above are dependent on the amount of hours booked. Sessions can be booked hourly from 7 - 11 hours a day in the price ranges above
Funded sessions can be used in 8 - 10 hour blocks for 0-3 year olds and 10-hour blocks only for 3 and 4 year olds.

Extra sessions can be booked if we have availability.


We also offer a 50% holiday rebate when booked with 2 week notice or more.


We accept all children in receipt of Government funding, some further terms for funding apply.


All fees can be found on our website. We offer hourly sessions for each age group, a minimum of 7 hours a day, a maximum of 11 hours a day.

As teachers, we were really keen to get the best Nursery we could for our daughter and we looked around several places before choosing Horizon Childcare. Our daughter has attended since she was 8-months-old and is thriving under their care. They nurture and support our child emotionally, physically
and academically and she couldn't be in better hands. Thank you to all of the staff at Horizon but especially her key worker who is the best ever!

We absolutely love the setting and the staff at Horizon. My daughter started there at 7-months-old so I was extremely anxious leaving her at such a young age. She has however thrived since attending, she is such a happy and outgoing little girl and nursery has definitely attributed towards that. She
clearly adores her key carers and is always happy being dropped off and I’m happy that Horizon is a secure and safe space for the children.
They keep her busy with a wide range of activities, sensory games, dancing, music, the list goes on and I am so glad my daughter gets such a range of activity, engagement and learning.
Huge pat on the back to everyone who make Horizon the lovely setting it is.

I have nothing negative to say about Horizon nursery. Would recommend to everyone. We've attended from 7 months to 4.5 years and so experienced all the rooms and know all the staff. My daughter is incredibly happy there. The nursery itself is warm and inviting. They are very nurturing. The management
are very approachable and will work with you to help resolve any issues. I love that they have an understanding of the curiosity approach and Montessori activities which leads on from what we do at home.

My son has been attending Horizon Childcare since he was 10 months old. He has always loved going to nursery and is always encouraged to do as much as he wants to. In October 2020 I had my second child and the nursery as a whole was so supportive with my son leading up to birth and while I was in hospital
and other family members having to collect/drop him off.
I couldn’t ask anything more from a nursery/childcare setting!
