Little Pears Nursery Limited in Pynes Hill, Exeter, aims to offer outstanding childcare and education to all their children through a fully child-centred approach.

As a small setting, the nurturing and caring staff take a personal approach to childcare and the curriculum is planned on an individual basis, depending on each child's requirements and developmental stage.

Staff are genuinely caring and remember each children's needs. My toddler really enjoys the nursery time and has sooo much vocabs and skills that amazes me. It's high contrast to our previous nursery. Highly recommended!

Both of my boys attend Little Pearls.
I cannot begin to put into words how amazing all the staf are. How supportive the whole team Inc management are. They have supported myself also with many questions, applying for funding/grants. Supporting with extra needs for my child.

My oldest has progressed

so much since attending.
I would highly recommend Little Pearls.

I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing place and team.
The app they use is so reassuring and lovely to see the days events.

Our child joined the nursery in September 2025 and I cannot fault the staff. They have shown such kindness and patience whist she settled in. Everyone in the Pebbles room we have encountered has been nothing short of amazing, our daughter always puts her arms out for her Key Worker and that says all
you need to know. She has great meals whist she is there, the outdoor space is fabulous and the indoor activties are great.
Whenever you message on the app you get a prompt response, which is perfect for a first time mum getting in the swing of leaving the babe.
Thank you so much to the Pebble team, you are truly fab!

The Little Pearls team are brilliant. Our daughter has been so happy from day one. The children have an amazing variety of activities to get stuck into every day and my daughter comes home so happy.
Her development has come on so much since being at Little Pearls and that's a testament to the hard
work the team put in, from baby sign language, sing and sign sessions, outdoor play as well as the communal breakfast and lunch times that have helped develop her confidence in exploring new foods.
She's had a couple of key workers and both have been excellent and the whole team that work with her are fab- they provide so much love and care, I'm never in doubt they provide her with the support she needs to help her develop secure attachments and all I want is for her to feel safe and happy- and she is!!
The communication is excellent- both and drop off and pick up the staff make time to properly talk to you as well as the use of the the app!
Can't recommend enough!

I am so pleased we found Little Pearls for our daughter, she is absolutely thriving since she has joined. All the staff have been amazing and are such caring, kind individuals and have such lovely nurturing natures.
Communication has been absolutely fantastic, from daily updates on the app, phone
calls/ emails and face to face on pick ups/drop offs. Any concerns/ worries you may have are listened to it and the team will always try their best to help where possible which is very reassuring. We particularly love the daily updates on the app from each room to find out what they have been up to with their day, with the additional bonus of photos!
Children have access to outside with plenty of resources and their days are structured with individual/ group activities to help with their learning and development.
We would highly recommend Little Pearls Nursery for your little ones as they will absolutely thrive here and will always be well loved and cared for.

We are very happy with the cares our son received. He loves going to nursery and he comes home always happy and keen in going back.
The team is lovely and always give a full report of his day and what he enjoys, they also supported us dealing with challenging parenting situations.
We felt our son
was safe and well looked after all the time.
They are also very accomodating if you need to change your nursery days for personal/work reasons.

We have sent our children to Little Pearls for the past 18 months. We are so grateful to be able to send both our children to a setting where the staff make the effort to really know them as individuals and truly care about them. They have instilled a joy for learning in our children through daily interactive,
fun and creative activities. The children spend a lot of time outside regardless of the weather and we love that they are not kept indoors all day. The staff and management team respond really quickly to messages and questions and are proactive and helpful with support. We are really pleased we found this nursery.

Such a wonderful nursery full of lovely staff. Our daughter has learned so much from her experiences at Little Pearls. She absolutely loves going and walks in each morning so happy to be there. She talks about all of the staff with such enthusiasm and it's evident they have such a positive impact on
their development and learning in such a fun and exciting way. The daily pictures/updates let us know what she has been up to and they always make an effort to also let us know verbally what they have enjoyed and how they have been when collecting at the end of the day. It has made a huge difference being able to find a term time space and varied hours. We are super grateful for this added bonus enabling us to collect her early and reduce the cost.
The management team are always so quick to respond to any questions and is super helpful. The nursery is very efficient and has been amazing with all the new funding.
We feel so reassured and happy sending our daughter to Little Pearls.

My daughter attends Little Pearls a couple of days a week. The staff have got to know her and the things she likes to do. They celebrate her successes with her. I like that at the end of the day the staff come and share highlights from the day. They take the time to listen to you. The communication
through the app is brilliant too. Sending your child to nursery is a big step and I have felt really reassured by all the staff. There are weekly newsletters and also a more in-depth monthly newsletter which provides lots of intonation. Each room also has a theme each month which my daughter loves and enjoys - I notice her taking interest in these themes at home too.

Little Pearls Nursery is a wonderful place for my little one. She adores the staff and comes home with the biggest smile on her face. The nursery makes sure their days are full of fun and fills the parents in on the collection. I could not ask for a better nursery for my little one to go where I know
she is looked after and adored by the staff. Thank you for making such a daunting experience the best experience I could ask for. I would recommend this nursery to anyone. The staff are fantastic!

My little girl has been attending this nursery since she was 11 months old. All the staff are so kind, warm and caring, nothing is ever too much trouble. My daughter is thriving here. There are so many planned activities and trips out which are shared through the app at the end of each day, meaning
you get to see a snippet of your child’s day in photographs. My daughter loves looking back and pointing out all of her friends. Special mention to two members of staff in particular, both of whom my child loves. A very nurturing nursery which I would highly recommend above any of its local competitors.

Both of my children currently attend Little Pearls. I love the nursery, I truly do. Both of my children are thriving, my 3-year-old came home last week saying ‘Hello, my name is *says name*’ in Spanish!
My son isn’t much of a talker but since being within the setting he is able to communicate much
more (even got him to eat fruit!)
The care the staff provide not just to the children but also parents is second to none. The nursery as a whole has been beyond supportive (especially the manager, thank you) from timed nap times - always stuck to, to being a support for the parents when things are tough. When you walk in, everyone’s focus is the children but also talk as if they are your friends, as a setting it really is a home from home and I am beyond thrilled that I chose this nursery. I highly recommend anyone looking for a nursery to strongly consider Little Pearls. It really is a lovely setting.

My daughter absolutely loves attending Little Pearls. The staff are wonderful and genuinely seem to take as much delight in her development as we do. The activities are engaging and fun and often messy! The outside space is smaller than some nurseries but the staff seem to make great use of the space
and often run activities outside. The room leaders and management are really responsive to any concerns or queries and the nursery often seeks out and implements parents' views and suggestions on how things can be improved. We love Little Pearls!

Both of my sons attended the nursery. My eldest is now six. The nursery still has a lot of the same faces, this is unheard of at other nurseries. All the team take the time pre and post-pick-up to gauge how my son is feeling for the day, updating me and sharing any relevant info, I never feel rushed.
There is a feeling of genuine authentic care. I wouldn’t want my boys going anywhere else!

My little one is very happy and has been nicely taken care of at the Little Pearls. She's clearly progressing in her language and mobility in the recent couple of months. Most important thing, she loves being in this setting. We can tell she's looking forward to going to the nursery and meeting her
teachers and friends there.

I have two children at the nursery, and my first started as a baby and has transgressed through the different age groups smoothly. Each team within the nursery are professional and caring and offers both practical and emotional support for all children.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough, and
the support staff are very helpful and assist you with any queries regarding the process and are great at signposting to other help and support.
There are updates throughout the day, which helps to put parents' minds at ease, along with photos of your child, which I find very reassuring.
They offer healthy, balanced meals, and I can honestly say that the nursery has helped my children progress educationally and emotionally.
When weather permits, they take the children out for walks and visits to parks and shops, which I find has helped with my son's social anxiety.
Excellent nursery with an excellent team!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.863)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.863) out of 10 for Little Pearls Nursery Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.963 for Little Pearls Nursery Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (184 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 191 Ratings = 4.963
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Pearls Nursery Ltd is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 number of registered child places is 12, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
