Having first opened their doors in 2017 with their Stoke Newington nursery, located on Defoe Road, N Family Club's Church Street nursery joined the fold back in 2020. A mere skip from the original location, N Church Street marks a major milestone in their journey to create a nursery experience like no other. Discover a space purpose-built and dedicated to babies & toddlers, and their families. A place to meet and relax, learn and grow, with a nursery, parents' breakfast area, and a programme of events for all the family.

They’ve stopped at nothing to create a space where you and your child will feel right at home. It has been designed specifically for children under 3 years old, while N Defoe Road is dedicated to preschoolers. The nursery filled with light and clean air (thanks to a hi-spec air filtration system) and is packed full of features like a rooftop garden and specialist messy play spaces.

Their Defoe Road has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted since April 2019, and in April 2023, N Church Street was also rated Outstanding.

Very responsive front of house and management, super friendly.
The educators are very creative and passionate about what they do. I really love the activity tables they prepare, the photos always look fab and they don't get enough hearts if you ask me! The activities are very thoughtful, cute and varied.
One staff member is brilliant, we're very happy with her as our child's key person.
Food: I love the menu, healthy, low carbon footprint with little meat and dairy, but lots of yummy dishes from all over the world. I think it's really outstanding.
Another thing we really appreciate about N is the activities for the kids and the events you organise for the parents, e.g. online events but also IRL parties and newsletters with lots of good tips, e.g. the last one was brilliant with tips on how to learn to ride a bike and make salt dough Xmas decorations.

Our overwhelmingly positive experience nonetheless started long before her actual first day. Like most nurseries of its calibre, it had a very long waiting list, which in retrospect makes even more sense. From the day we registered our daughter to the day we got confirmation, the process was seamless.
On induction, we were promptly greeted by her key person who assured all my worries and concerns, particularly as a first time mum, at our introduction. Her week of settling surpassed all our expectations. Her educators, every single one of them, facilitated a smooth transition not just for our daughter, but even for ourselves as parents recognising what a big milestone that is. She has since moved to another room and the exceptional experience continues. The activities are always creative and balancing the fundamental need of learning through play. The place is always immaculately clean. The cooking team is a personal favourite of mine. It’s also the only nursery certified as a B Corp.

10/10 staff, activities, food and environment. All of the staff are so warm and professional - they engage with all the parents/grandparents and learn everyone's names. The children go on to the rooftop garden every day and do lots of different learning activities. My daughter started at thirteen months,
always breastfed to sleep and quite an observant child. The staff were brilliant at settling her in. She now is much more confident, has learnt to walk and naps independently 2.5 hours some days! She smiles and waves to her friends and the staff every morning. The staff go above and beyond to help celebrate your culture/traditions. They have a different country to focus on each month and recording devices with words in different languages. We have brought in items from home that they have created activities around. They have thought of everything, from homemade breakfast for parents to a family wall of photos. I am envious of the menu and my daughter eats seconds every day! Thank you N Family.

We’ve had the experience of a different provision with our daughter so are confident in recognising the difference in this nursery with our son.


He has a fantastic experience every day with his carers. Our son is encouraged to play, engage with nature, develop his social skills and be thoroughly

tired out with a broad curriculum with a range of built-in learning experiences. The food is nutritionally balanced (special mention to the Chef who knows all the children) and encourages young palettes to be adventurous. We welcome the fact that the majority of dishes are vegetarian and there’s no red meat on the menu.


We are huge fans of the N Family and highly recommend them. The manager although young is dedicated and has a strong vision in her for the continued development of the nursery.

Our daughter started at N Family Club full-time when she was 12-months old. She absolutely loves it there and happily walks in each morning - in fact, she picks up her rucksack and stands by our door shouting "go!" The environment is stimulating and very active. 18 month old loves the range of activities
from painting, imaginative play, music sessions to making her own pizza! The sensory tray, which changes daily, is a favourite. Spending time outdoors each day is hugely important to us - and we have not been disappointed in N Family Club - the kids play in the garden or go to the park no matter the weather. The educators and staff (front of house, managers and cooks) are wonderful - they provide a nurturing and kind environment and always greet the children with a big smile on their faces. We couldn't be happier with the team at Church Street - and highly recommend N Family Club.

Everyone in the nursery is fantastic. There is a real feeling of community between the team, the rooms and the parents of the children. The team is very caring and have every little detail sorted out. The level of activities are always in line with every child’s pace and the communication is top level.

We put our daughter into N family Club at 10-months-old, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I found returning to work after maternity leave hard, but it would have been so much harder if it wasn’t for the amazing support and team at N Family. Every single member of staff takes time to
get to know you and your child and genuinely cares about their wellbeing and development. I was pretty structured with naps at home before our daughter started and the key workers totally worked with our schedule and replicated the same on her nursery days. The team are exceptional - kind, professional and attentive. It is also a beautifully designed space and the facilities are amazing. Activities are seasonal, so there are new and interesting crafts and sensory trays each day and a lovely roof garden where the kids can play outdoors. The food is prepared by a chef, with a changing, nutritious menu that I am jealous of! I know my daughter is happy and so well cared for - I am so grateful for this place!

We put our baby daughter in at 6 months old which was a little younger than what we were planning, but right away during the settling sessions, she was completely at ease. The team have made us feel very welcome and (so far) there hasn’t been any tears at drop-off! It’s quite a big thing leaving your
children with somebody but I have no anxiety whatsoever once the manager takes my daughter inside. I’m very happy.

Most parents feel a level of anxiety when first leaving their child in a child care setting. To my relief, our experience at N Family Club Stoke Newington has been absolutely brilliant since our son's very first settling at the nursery in March 2021. The staff are fantastic - both those involved in
the day to day caring for our son and those who help run the nursery smoothly (front of staff, management etc). Our son's days are jam-packed with activities we simply couldn't offer at home (sensory sessions, messy play, baking, reading, music, park visits and more) and it's been an eye-opener to us that a good nursery setting isn't a secondary option to being at home full time with a parent, but actually can be a hugely stimulating and developmental environment in its own right. We couldn't recommend N Family Club and the team at Church Street more highly.

It's been a pleasure to see our son grow and excel during his time at N Family Club. The staff are all genuinely happy and energetic at both dropoff and pickup. You can sense they are all truly invested in each child, and it's lovely that, despite covid, they place a huge emphasis on debriefing at pickup
about your child's day. The app updates are a real highlight each day too!
We were at another nursery and were unhappy with their unwillingness to build much rapport or improve their vegetarian food for our son. So, it was all the more amazing to move our son to N Family Club and address everything that mattered to us. Their sustainable, vegetarian-friendly menu is a big draw and they love to hear feedback, I genuinely feel listened to.
We are sure we'll never find a nursery like this when we leave the area, thank you for being such great partners in raising our son.

Couldn't be happier with the nursery. Our son is delighted to go every morning and I am so impressed by the staff, their knowledge and the educational activities they do with the children. Big emphasis on healthy food and snacks. Great communication with parents. I feel my son gets good care and attention.

The teaching staff are all excellent. All the staff have learnt our daughters name as well as our names and we are always greeted with a smile. Our daughter is always excited to be going to nursery and is learning lots each day. We are sent fantastic updates through the nursery app, including pictures.

N Family Club - Stoke Newington, Church Street is beautifully appointed and filled with a good quality toys and equipment. The real asset is the staff who are uniformly great, from the front of house team to the educators and management. Also, the menu is thoughtful and nutritionally balanced, with
loads of great stuff that my wife and I would gladly eat ourselves. The whole operation is incredibly slick, without feeling corporate. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

The opening of N Family’s branch on Church Street was greatly delayed by the epidemic and has had to implement a series of safety protocols from day one. That can’t have been easy, and we are very impressed by the staff’s ability to create a warm and fun environment while at the same being very strict
and careful about the measures in place. The space is beautiful, the food served is of good quality and very diverse, and communication is very good through the app and by email. Our daughter loves going to this nursery five days a week, and we would strongly recommend them without hesitation.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 number of registered child places is 16.2, which has been reached with 40 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
