Hove Village's nursery at Hove Library caters for children aged from 12 weeks to five years. They have a focus on introducing literature, benefitting from being situated in this fantastic library. Children will be introduced to science, technology, engineering arts and maths (STEAM) in fun, age-appropriate and engaging ways.

Cannot fault the Hove village library nursery. Our son has been attending since he could barely sit up and he absolutely loves it!
We have full confidence that he is safe and his developmental and educational needs are being met.
The activities are always fun and varied and he is always happy to
go! The team are exceptional. 10/10

We cannot fault it. We've been with the nursery since 2022 and have another in the Baby Room now too and we have never had anything but amazing things to say. The staff are all so lovely, our daughter's both love it and the peace of mind is worth it's weight in gold. The fact that it's all inclusive,
the kids go on outings and have different activities throughout the week, like yoga and ballet, is fantastic. I know all the parent joke that the kids eat better in nursery than they do at home. So many updates on Family too, which is nice to see. You truly feel how much the staff love all the kids, which is reciprocated. I am so grateful to them, we got so lucky.

Our daughter has spent over a year at Hove Village and has had a wonderful time.
We've felt comfortable from the first day, communication is excellent, the staff is caring, and most importantly, our daughter is excited to go in every day!

We've had 2 children in the nursery, both from 6 months. One is about to go to school and another is staying on.
The kids have absolutely loved their time at the nursery and we've had a great experience with the staff at every stage. We've found there to be so many lovely activities and science experiments
and, with it being a smaller nursery, there's been a lovely group of close friends for the kids.
The food has been amazing! It really helped at the weaning stage and we always get good ideas for healthy meals for them via the nursery app.
We would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents!

My child has been with the Hove Library team for eight months now, and she has excellent relationships with her educators. She is very clearly happy coming to nursery and looks forward to seeing everyone. They allow the children to lead and show their interests that the staff try to develop and nurture.
The communication from her educators and the management is brilliant and very clear. In my opinion, the only thing that lets the nursery down is the small outdoor space, however I appreciate this is hard to come by in central Hove!

I cannot recommend Hove library nursery enough. My son really enjoys going into nursery which makes leaving him for work each day that much easier. All the staff are wonderful, the care and encouragement my son receives is very noticeable from all staff members not just those in his room. The updates
during the day on the app keep me in the loop at all times which makes me feel closer to him while we are apart. It is wonderful to see him playing and learning. The food looks great also, he definitely eats more at nursery and I don't blame him!

This nursery has been an essential part of our lives as we moved to the area from overseas. Our kids are excited to go every day. The teachers are amazing and the communication is incredible. The parents are also amazing! We love it here.

I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else!
After trying a few nurseries and not being happy, my daughter started at Hove Village Library and I couldn’t recommend it more. She absolutely loved her time at nursery, and they made the transition from nursery to school effortless. Due to this, when it
was time for my son to start at nursery I didn’t consider anywhere else.
The staff are professional, yet so caring with the children. The food the children get has been rated to a high standard and the children also get to experience trips during their day.

This is a wonderful nursery, the staff are so kind and caring! I feel so confident dropping my little one off in the morning! My eldest also went here before starting school and she had all the tools she needed to thrive. The management are not just responsive to enquiries, they are part of the day-to-day

Excellent childcare and education facility; staff know all the children; communication of updates, illnesses, and learning progress are all quick, frequent and efficient via the app. The local library setting itself is perfect for a small group of children and is cosy, welcoming and very well-equipped
with toys, games, crafts, and educational tools. Our little one loves being there, and going on the weekly trips out to the nearby library, museum, and beach, and is clearly attached to his care team which speaks volumes to their skill and care.

We couldn’t be happier with Hove Village Nursery! The staff are all incredibly caring, warm, friendly and knowledgeable about early years and child development. The activities are always child-centred and we’ve loved watching our little one blossom since starting. The meals they have access to have
a great variety and the regular trips and extra activities (yoga) are so amazing too. She loves it and so do we!

My son really enjoys nursery, he thrives there, always learning something new, making friends, trying new foods, and coming home with a smile. As parents, it’s important we feel safe in the knowledge that our children are being cared for and nurtured by educators. And of that we are sure! The staff
are attentive, reassuring, kind and helpful. The nursery is like a home from home, and will be sad to see him leave come September!
I would definitely recommend this nursery setting to anyone ready to send their child to the nursery.

Our son has enjoyed his time at Hove Village Nursery enormously over the last couple of years. The care, attention, and encouragement he's received from all members of staff has been palpable and is greatly appreciated. The overall culture and environment within is excellent; you can sense that the
members of staff take a genuine interest in each child as an individual and cater for their specific needs as they develop.
The feedback on how our son is contributing to the group dynamics, what he's enjoyed participating in, what he's perhaps been struggling with, and what he's been up to day-to-day are great, as have the regular updates via the app are fantastic (I'm especially jealous of the food he gets to enjoy!) and seeing the photos of him enjoying playing and learning with his friends.
The staff have worked really hard to help prepare him for the transition to full-time school next month so he goes in full of confidence, again which we're hugely grateful for. Thank you!

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Abbie started her childcare career as an apprentice in 2016. With hard works and a passionate commitment to teaching, she has worked her way up to the position of Nursery Manager. Abbie enjoyed the experience of running forest school classes at her last setting, as well as being the SENCO.


Abbie loves exploring different ways of learning across all age groups and she greatly enjoys the child-led approach, having seen first hand the benefits this brings to children's development.


In her spare time, Abbie loves being outdoors, getting creative, listening to music and going to the gym every morning.
