Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - High Wycombe

My son has been attending the nursery since September. He took a little while to get settled and would cry going in every time. The staff were amazing and always reassured me as a first time mum it was hard for me. Now he goes running in and has the best time. They keep me updated through the day in what he is doing and what he is eating etc. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone else.

My child loves nursery and is always happy to go in. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The baby room staff always give excellent hand overs about my daughters day. I also get regular observations and beautiful photos. At pick up time my daughter always seems really happy like she’s had a wonderful day.

My child has been going to this nursery since 2019 and he has developed a lot of communication and social skills. He loves going to nursery and is always happy to go in when I drop him in the morning.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since last September. They have been absolutely fabulous with her as she has many allergies, which I worry about and the nursery were brilliant in handling any kind of care she may need, such as alternative food at tea time to suit her needs. The app is brilliant as it updates you with what your child has been doing in their day and pictures of the children, which is a bonus so you can rest assure your child is having fun and is in the safest hands. During the pandemic I haven't taken my daughter to nursery which is a personal decision for me to make, I was surprised even during this time that they have had regular catch ups with us on the phone and video, to see how we are getting along. I would definitely recommend this nursery, the staff are brilliant and attentive.

My daughter attends the nursery full time and absolutely loves it here. As soon as she arrives she points to the door. All staff are very helpful and give daily feedback on her day every day. The family app is brilliant, which means I can check to see if she’s eaten well and slept. I get lovely observations of my child and great to see photos of what she’s been up to. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our son is happy at nursery, that is what is most important. The staff know him and enjoy their time with the children. It is easy to speak with the staff and the manager if we want any more information or to talk about our child. We joined when the nursery opened, and they have developed over the last year or so, and everything seems settled.

My little girl loves coming to nursery and enjoys her time here! The staff are very good and responsive, and in the current situation we find ourselves in, they go above and beyond to communicate to the parents, whether it be through the app or phone call. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a nursery for their child.

I would really recommend Hungry Caterpillar, my son started there when he was 10months and he has developed so much. They are always accommodating and always leave updates and photos on what he has been eating, drinking and doing. They also work with me on what suits my boy in terms of routine. They are super thorough and always call if he has fallen over.

Also the app they use works really well and keeps us updated day to day with meal and naps and thing like that.

The nursery is great, my son loves attending. He talks to me about his friends, the staff members that he has spent the day with and he has a very good relationship with his key workers. They are a very caring team and I would definitely recommend.

I have been extremely impressed with this nursery. The staff take amazing care of my 18-month-old and all of them will wave and interact with her during the day. They all smile and encourage her to do new things and laugh. They also often send through developmental observations which I find so helpful, as it explains what she is mastering and what they are working on with her to improve her development. Also, their family app that they use to communicate with parents is easy to use and is perfect for the modern-day and for those who are busy, to be able to check in on what is happening and what my daughter is up to during the day - from what she eats, pictures, nap times, nappy changes and how much food she has. But, most importantly - she always has fun and wants to go back.

The staff are very accessible, attentive and share updates on the children's development quite frequently. The nursery takes the welfare of the children very seriously and puts measures in place to ensure they are healthy and well.

This is an excellent nursery with great staff. My little girl loves going there and she always looks so happy after a day at Hungry Caterpillars. I would recommend any of my friends with children to attend this setting.

Hungry Caterpillars Nursery has been an amazing experience for both our son and us as parents from the moment we went to look around. We had to put our son into child care at what felt like a young age, we struggled with various childminders, different types of environments and our son really struggled with this, which was hard for us as parents. This experience certainly had a knock-on effect when it came to looking to put back into child care, which we were very anxious about but thankfully, everything turned around as soon as he started at Hungry Caterpillars. This was a huge relief for us and we were able to drop our son off every day at nursery, knowing he loved his entire time there. The staff are great, very friendly and our son was comfortable with all of them. He is quite a difficult eater at home, but we were able to be comfortable with this as he was eating so well at nursery with a great variety and quality of food. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

This is a fantastic nursery, I was so sad my little boy had to leave. All the ladies go above and beyond and my little boy loved it here. I would recommend this nursery to anybody, it's fantastic. Thank you, ladies.

Our granddaughter (now 18 months old) has been attending the nursery for approximately 3 months and in that time, we have seen a very noticeable level of development in her speech, her interactions and her willingness to explore new things. We have been so impressed with the care given and the variety of educational and fun activities provided. The feedback provided to the parents is also second to none. We could not be happier.

Very good one to one contact with my son and excellent feedback - always on collection daily and also on request. My son has gone from crying at the door before going in to happily strolling off by himself and not even saying goodbye :-)

Our little one loves the nursery. She was missing it all the time during the lockdown. On the first day back, she didn't even look back to say bye at drop off. Staff are friendly and engaging. Not the cheapest option but definitely worth the money.

Very caring and dedicated team. Has made my daughter look forward to every day at the nursery. Happy I found this place just when I was going to give up on nurseries because she failed to settle in the 2 previous places. So thumbs up from a generally sceptical mother.
