An inspiring purpose-built nursery in Hertford

The brand new purpose built Bright Horizons Hertford Day and Preschool offers seven individual home bases tailored to each age group as well as two additional extra-curricular rooms.

The nursery has a large external play area where the children can flourish and explore while building a lifelong love of learning. All age rooms have been designed to be flexible and with good access to the garden.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, the onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees. All the snacks and meals are prepared on site by the chef and is nutritionally balanced.

Staff always go above and beyond for my daughter. Always friendly and she often talks about how good her day has been. During a scary time with covid-19 they ensure children can still enjoy their time at nursery safely.

We desperately needed back-up care for our son and found Bright Horizons Hertford Day Nursery through my employer. From the very start, we were blown away by the calm, caring nature of the staff. Our toddler made instant connections and felt right at home. The team were pro-active in calling in the
first few days to provide an update on his progress and always gave us weekly reports and photos to take home with us. The facility is brand new and kept to a high standard. This is an exceptional and well-managed centre. You will feel reassured and happy that your child is receiving the educational and recreational support they need.

Since the nursery opened in January 2020, my son has enjoyed every single minute. The facilities are new, clean and so exciting for children. My son always talks about the garden. The staff have always been incredibly attentive and supportive of his needs and I can't thank them enough for helping him
get ready for school. He started school more confident, resilient and happy being with others. His fussy eating greatly improved, thank you for all the encouragement you gave him.

I have worked in childcare for around ten years now and am just as passionate about my career today as I was the day I started. I believe that as practitioners in childcare, we hold the core values to support young children across the early years as individuals. Not only do we encourage and promote children’s learning and development, but we are the lucky ones who are able to support each child to become whoever they desire to be.


Since becoming a part of the Bright Horizons team, I have seen how as a childcare provider, Bright Horizons seeks to promote the best outcomes for each child in their care. From helping little ones take their first steps to supporting our Preschool children with the next big step in their lives and becoming ‘big school ready’ with our Growing Enhancements.
