Bright Horizons Hertford Day Nursery and Preschool

The staff have taken the time to get to know and understand our child, finding the best ways to support his learning and wellbeing. We have been extremely happy with the provision.

The nursery is excellently kept, the children all seem happy and content. They have a good amount of activities to be entertained with and the staff all appear knowledgeable and well managed. The nursery also seems to have improved well over the last year.

is just an amazing nursery. All the staff go above and beyond to help you and your little ones. We had one issue that was raised with management and by the evening I had a phone call and it was all resolved by the morning. Their kindness and keeping parents included and up to date with their child's progress is just fantastic. Both my son, who is now at primary school, and my daughter, who is still there, absolutely love it and come out every day so excited about what they have done. We would like to give a mention to someone who is outstanding and that is the deputy manager. She is amazing and always there on hand to help with any issues. We would highly recommend this nursery.

I cannot tell you how highly I rate the Hertford Bright Horizons team! I have 2 girls there and from the moment we walked into the nursery we felt at home. Not only because the facilities are great and well maintained and the children eat beautifully nutritious meals (in fact these are so good I'm often jealous of their selection myself) but what truly makes it special is the team. Every single member of the staff truly cares about the children and they are so passionate and caring, my girls have flourished there and the team feel like an extension of our family!

Witnessing their relationship with the staff grow every day ensures us we made the right choice. It is the best decision we made to send our children here.

The facilities and activities look great and have really helped our little one learn and develop, alongside his peers. Our son has some allergies, which I was nervous about, but they cater for him so well and have a great care plan in place. We would highly recommend this nursery and the wonderful staff, to anyone who is looking.

Our little one has been at this nursery since she was 10 months old (now 3 years old) and we can't recommend it more highly. Our daughter loves it! Every colleague is kind, compassionate, supportive and there is a real family feel. The activities, staff, creativity, room and outdoor space, is I think the best in the area! We've already booked a space for baby number two!

Our son has been attending this nursery for coming up to a year now and we are really happy with the choice we made. From day one in the toddler room, he was made to feel welcome. He's made good friendships and he's developing really well. It is clear all the staff really care for the children, to get the best out of them. Our son loves attending the nursery.

Our daughter has thrived whilst being at Bright Horizons. It's amazing to see her development and great to hear how the staff all have such an insight into her progress and the level of care they provide, is fantastic. Our daughter clearly loves it there.

The team at Hertford are always in hand, smiling, caring and have the little ones' best interests at the forefront of everything they do. They not only promote learning through play so that the children have a fun time learning, but also are on hand to support them learning about their emotions. They are also extremely caring and supportive, when our child has been poorly.

I could not love this nursery more! Ever since my son started at 2 years old, I have felt so secure leaving him in the care of the wonderful staff at Bright Horizons, Hertford. My son and I have built a beautiful relationship with his key people as well as the rest of the team over the past two years, which I will miss greatly when he goes to school in September 2023. My son runs into nursery, three times a week and doesn't look back, his days are filled with so much fun and laughter, as well as learning in all shapes and sizes. I consistently get a rundown of his day when I collect him, which always makes me smile. Whenever he's had an accident or isn't feeling well, I'm informed straight away, which fills me with confidence that he's been well looked after and attended to, at all times. I definitely have Bright Horizons to thank for my son's intelligence and knowledge and am thrilled we chose to send him to Bright Horizons. We will be devastated when he can no longer go there and miss you so much! Thank you, Hertford team, we love you!

Highly recommend! We are so pleased that we chose Bright Horizons in Hertford and have been blown away by the staff, from the beginning. The longer settling-in process was great and allowed a chance for our son to really get acquainted with the staff, over a period of time and settle into his new routine. The staff are all so friendly and kind, knowing all the children's and parents' names and always saying hello/goodbye. Nothing is too much for them. They've handled my son's allergies with such ease and the updates we're sent, daily, really make my day. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My son absolutely loves going in, the variety of games and activities they do is fabulous and the chef-made food, tops it off. Thank you so much for creating such a warm, safe and happy space.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons, Hertford, since she was 18 months old and is now 3 years old. I cannot recommend them enough. She struggled when she first started, to settle in, but the staff always reassured me and kept me updated and ensured she was happy and comforted. She soon settled in and now looks forward to her nursery days and runs straight in without any hesitation. The staff clearly, genuinely care for her and as a parent, this is so important when leaving your child at any childcare environment. We will be very sad when she leaves for primary school!

Bright Horizons, Hertford is such a kind and friendly nursery and my daughter is so happy there! I was very nervous for my 18-month-old daughter to start nursery, as we had spent every moment together until then and she hated being apart from me. At the start, she cried every time she left me, but the staff were so kind and caring and worked with us so well that within a few visits she is so different. There are no tears at drop off and she tells me all about how much fun she has there, she especially loves the outdoor time every day. I love the app and her key worker is great at updating it throughout the day so that I can see what she's been up to and what food she's eaten. She has become much more social and enjoys being around the other children and I can see a big change in her confidence levels since starting there. The nursery is always clean and my daughter really enjoys her time there.

My son started attending Bright Horizons, Hertford in June and they have been amazing since day one. He is so comfortable with all the girls and has the best time when he's there. They really made me feel at ease leaving him and are so good at keeping us updated on his development/activities. Can't recommend them enough - fantastic nursery and wonderful team!

I cannot recommend Bright Horizons, Hertford enough. From the baby room, all the way to preschool, the care for the children in each of those rooms is second to none. All the staff make a great effort to build a relationship with not only your child, but yourself as a parent. Communication is faultless. The setting itself is lovely, with a great little garden.

We chose Bright Horizons, Hertford, as we had a good feeling about the nursery when we looked round on the open day. My daughter happily went off and started playing with the toys and enjoyed running around the large garden. Three staff members, in particular, are so friendly and informative. We love the Bright Horizons app, on which, we receive updates and pictures of what my daughter's doing, throughout the day and I can see, she is happy! Highly recommend!

We have been very impressed with the level of care our daughter has received since she joined Bright Horizons, Hertford. My daughter is more confident around children and adults and is developing at an amazing rate, particularly with her speech and understanding. The team were very understanding and attentive last week, when I was concerned, she was not well and reassured me. Very kind, bubbly and caring nursery workers, who genuinely care for my daughter.
