I moved my 3.5-year-old twins to Rand in January. It's an absolutely amazing setting. Both of my children settled in really well. Both the inside and outside spaces are well equipped. The staff are wonderfully warm, caring and welcoming.
One of my twins is diagnosed with ASD. They have been amazing
with him and the progress he's made meeting targets and milestones since being in the setting has been extensive. They accommodate his sensory and communication needs really well.
I cannot recommend this setting enough!

My daughter always comes home tired because of her fun-filled day. Most days (weather dependent) she is hands-on with the farm animals which she loves so much. The classrooms are set out with plenty of stations to stimulate her brain. I've also not come across any form of bullying which is a good thing.
So overall I'm happy with the way my daughter is developing at pre-school.

This is such a friendly, well-run nursery with a lovely atmosphere.
The staff are warm, welcoming and they know every child really well. My little girl isn’t keen on going over to all people but she loves all the staff at the nursery and talks about them all the time. She started at the nursery from
the day it opened and has grown in confidence, independence and formed lots of friendships.
The offer of the nursery is value for money and more with daily visits to the farm, able to play freely in the gardens and lots of natural wooden toys.

My daughter has been to 4 nurseries and I never left her at a nursery and felt 100% content with how she was being looked after until I took her to Rand Farm. The nursery is amazing, the opportunity’s the children have is insane. The staff are welcoming, friendly and most importantly they care. The
lady in my daughter's room is one of the most kindest people I have met and goes above and beyond to make sure my daughter is happy at all times. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone!

The Review Score of 10 (9.966) out of 10 for Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.966 for Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (545 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 563 Ratings = 4.966
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rand Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 104 number of registered child places is 20.8, which has been reached with 47 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Sarah: Nursery Manager

My name’s Sarah, and I am the Nursery Manager here at Rand Farm Park Day Nursery and Pre-School.

I have been part of the nursery’s journey since before opening in 2019, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see the setting grow from an empty building site into the thriving, nurturing environment it is today.

I am deeply passionate about early years education and take great pride in the high standard of care and education we strive to provide. Watching children grow, develop, and reach their individual milestones is a true privilege.

I am extremely proud of our dedicated team of educators, whose commitment, knowledge, and genuine care for the children is evident in the strong bonds they form each day. Observing the meaningful interactions between staff and children, and the positive impact these relationships have on children’s confidence, learning, and wellbeing, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

Our unique farm setting provides rich, hands-on learning opportunities that support children’s curiosity and connection with the natural world. Being based on the farm allows children to explore, learn through real-life experiences, and develop a strong sense of respect for nature, animals, and the environment, with support from their educators and the team of farmers here at Rand.

Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is central to our ethos. We actively promote an open-door approach and value open communication, ensuring families feel supported and involved in their child’s learning journey. I am always around for a chat and believe that working closely with families is essential in achieving the best outcomes for every child.

Our mission is to ensure learning feels like home. Full of love, laughter, and imagination.
