Waverton House Day Nursery in Wavertree, Liverpool, is a renovated private nursery, with a key focus on keeping children safe, secure and happy. The passionate staff focus on children's individual needs and interests to ensure they can achieve the best possible outcomes when learning through play and every day experiences. Children spend a significant amount of time extending their learning outdoors, in all weathers, and are provided with a range of experiences within the on sight Forest School environment. Parents are encouraged to be at the heart of children's learning and staff take time to develop effective parent partnerships, supported by an online learning system which allows for communication between staff and parents.

Waverton House is an outstanding nursery that provides an exceptional level of care. All the staff are amazing and exceed any expectations. My little one runs through the door daily and loves her fun-filled days.

We chose Waverton House for our little girl after a family member recommended it to us as we wanted somewhere that felt like a home away from home. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there so much and so it was the obvious choice for our little boy when I returned to work after maternity leave. He is now
in his second year with them and looks forward to going every day. He has made so many friends and the care he receives from the staff is second to none. As a parent, having the reassurance that your child is in safe hands is invaluable. During the last 12 months and all the difficulties faced, the staff have gone out of their way to keep things as normal as they can for the children, whilst at the same time ensuring guidelines were kept. I can say Harry has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 months despite the challenges faced by everyone.

Amazing nursery with amazing staff! My child has been going since he was 11 months old and he’s now nearly 4 and getting ready to leave and I'm sad his journey with Waverton House is nearly over! I would recommend anyone to send their child here; I wish he could stay forever!

My three children attend Waverton House and love it there. We chose this nursery because it offers so much to both children and parents. As a parent I needed highly qualified staff to care for my 5 month old baby, people who understood babies and the particular requirements and preferences of my child.
I also wanted somewhere that my 2 year old would feel safe and happy and where my three, now four year old would be prepared well for school. It has delivered on all fronts. When you drop off your children, you always feel that the staff genuinely care for your children. They communicate with you throughout the day and update the parent app with photos of what the kids have been up to which is wonderful. You know you have a good nursery when your children run in through the door, excited to be there.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

I have worked at Waverton since 2016, starting straight after completing my degree in Education & Early Years. After spending time leading baby room, Tots room and Pre School over the years and completing my Masters degree in inclusive practice, I then became Manager in 2022.
I have always enjoyed watching the journey children experience throughout their time in nursery and I am glad I can continue this whilst also working closely with all families across nursery. My biggest passion is the benefits the outdoors can bring to children and I am so proud of our amazing outdoor space and how this is utilised by the staff team in nursery.
