Waverton House Day Nursery in Wavertree, Liverpool, is a renovated private nursery, with a key focus on keeping children safe, secure and happy. The passionate staff focus on children's individual needs and interests to ensure they can achieve the best possible outcomes when learning through play and every day experiences. Children spend a significant amount of time extending their learning outdoors, in all weathers, and are provided with a range of experiences within the on sight Forest School environment. Parents are encouraged to be at the heart of children's learning and staff take time to develop effective parent partnerships, supported by an online learning system which allows for communication between staff and parents.

Firstly I would just like to say thank you to all staff at Kids Planet Waverton House! I know my child has only been here since the beginning of the month but it's been amazing since the first day! From the Easter event staff put on for all our children to his settling-in days to now being in two full
days it has just been fantastic!
From the minute you walk through the door staff just make you feel so comfortable and at ease! Always very polite and bubbly!
Key leaders have also been excellent on the start of babies' journey! He is trying different foods and activities and he is loving them so far I can tell just by how the staff update the app and let me know at the end of the day when collecting baby! Baby has no trouble going to staff already at his morning drop off he is already making that bond with them! You can truly tell they love their job and making the babies' day fun from morning through to afternoon is what I love about this nursery! Love that the app always gets updated.

The best nursery! I have two babies in nursery now and one who went a few years ago. It still has a few girls that were there when my eldest went which makes it so much better for me, I feel like I know them all.

We’ve had such a great experience with Waverton. All the staff are so lovely and really care, the updates on the app are really informative and reassuring and my daughter loves going. It’s made going back to work so much easier. Can’t highly enough recommend.

Couldn’t recommend the nursery highly enough. Our daughter settled in pretty much immediately and as a first-time mum who panicked about everything the staff put my mind at ease right away (and were patient with me when I called 3 times a day!) Our daughter has a speech delay and the team has gone above
and beyond to source additional support for her and has been a godsend in terms of her development. My daughter loves the food and never comes home hungry!
The staff are absolutely fantastic and they’re an absolute credit to the childcare profession. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

Can’t recommend Waverton enough, my son started there 5 months ago and his development since he joined has been amazing. He gets excited to go in each morning with a big smile on his face which is reciprocated by all the staff. The staff who work there genuinely care about the kids, they do an amazing
job. The facilities are fantastic with a lot of focus on outdoor activities which my little one loves, many different activities and each day is varied. My little boy is well looked after so I can’t ask for more.

My two children have both attended here since the baby room. We have even moved out of the area but have kept them in this nursery as we are so pleased with the care they receive.
Waverton provides a loving and caring environment which I could not be more pleased with, it’s an extension of our home.
The
activities they organise for the children are varied and exciting for the children. But one of my favourite aspects of care is the importance of emotional well being. The staff genuinely care about the children they look after and have surpassed my expectations in every area.
I have recommended this nursery time and time again. And as my children have grown they have supported them and us as a family. It has been an experience I am so glad that they have had as part of their early years and believe it has helped them gain confidence and independence.

I love Waverton. From the staff to the resources, room sizes and ratio. They provide outstanding care which is second to none. My little girl started at 10 months and they have been there for us both throughout, nothing is ever too much to ask and I have never felt more comfortable leaving my little
one there. It’s her favourite place to go and each time she moves room, I think it can’t get any better and it does! We moved further away from the area, travelling to drop my little one off but there was no way I was moving her nurseries. Communication is spot on, the education is brilliant and the environment is always spotless! Management is thorough and involved which is lovely to see that they know each child that attends!

We couldn't be happier for the two years our daughter has spent at Waverton House - every single aspect of the nursery has been outstanding. The premises are roomy, welcoming and tastefully decorated; the food offered to the children is varied and healthy; the groups are the right size for the children
to interact with peers while they can still be monitored individually; there is a very broad range of indoor activities for them (not a single room is dominated by a screen, thankfully!) and the garden and forest school area are used as much as the weather allows. We have seen our daughter's skills improve fast and also how she has become interested in many topics. What has impressed us the most, though, is how warm and conscientious the staff have been both with her (she has adored every single carer she's had) and us. Every time our daughter has had the slightest issue we have been informed immediately and the issue has been dealt with quickly and effectively.

My daughter has attended Waverton House for two years and is getting ready to start school in September. She loves nursery and has made lots of friends there. The atmosphere at the nursery is very warm and welcoming and the staff have been absolutely brilliant. They have always taken any concerns we
had very seriously and are professional and reliable. Despite the COVID restrictions this year, they made graduation very special for the preschool class. The rooms and grounds are lovely and the children spend time running around outside every day, no matter what the weather's like. There's also a forest school area in the garden, where the children learn about nature and do crafts. I'm really sad that my daughter's time at Waverton House is coming to an end, but thanks to the staff she is more than ready for 'big' school!

Would highly recommend. We chose Waverton House because the facilities are fantastic and the children get to play outside and in Forest School rain or shine. The staff are really attentive, kind and helpful. Both my children love going to the nursery, have bonded with their key workers, made friends

We chose Waverton House for our little girl after a family member recommended it to us as we wanted somewhere that felt like a home away from home. She thoroughly enjoyed her time there so much and so it was the obvious choice for our little boy when I returned to work after maternity leave. He is now
in his second year with them and looks forward to going every day. He has made so many friends and the care he receives from the staff is second to none. As a parent, having the reassurance that your child is in safe hands is invaluable. During the last 12 months and all the difficulties faced, the staff have gone out of their way to keep things as normal as they can for the children, whilst at the same time ensuring guidelines were kept. I can say Harry has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 months despite the challenges faced by everyone.

My three children attend Waverton House and love it there. We chose this nursery because it offers so much to both children and parents. As a parent I needed highly qualified staff to care for my 5 month old baby, people who understood babies and the particular requirements and preferences of my child.
I also wanted somewhere that my 2 year old would feel safe and happy and where my three, now four year old would be prepared well for school. It has delivered on all fronts. When you drop off your children, you always feel that the staff genuinely care for your children. They communicate with you throughout the day and update the parent app with photos of what the kids have been up to which is wonderful. You know you have a good nursery when your children run in through the door, excited to be there.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

I have worked at Waverton since 2016, starting straight after completing my degree in Education & Early Years. After spending time leading baby room, Tots room and Pre School over the years and completing my Masters degree in inclusive practice, I then became Manager in 2022.
I have always enjoyed watching the journey children experience throughout their time in nursery and I am glad I can continue this whilst also working closely with all families across nursery. My biggest passion is the benefits the outdoors can bring to children and I am so proud of our amazing outdoor space and how this is utilised by the staff team in nursery.
