Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Astwick

My son started Monkey Puzzle when he was 10 months old. It was difficult going back to work and putting him into full-time care but the staff were wonderful. You are updated regularly throughout the day through the parent app so you can see how your child is doing. He is now 2 and has just moved into his third room. The activities and engagement with the children is wonderful - I can’t fault it. I know the staff know my child very well and have recommended the nursery to friends and work colleagues.

I absolutely love that the kids go out on the farm regularly and that the nursery has a forest school. The monthly updates on the theme/activities/book of the month are also great for visibility of what the kids are doing while in the nursery setting.

Monkey Puzzle Astwick is wonderful. A setting with a strong ethos on learning through play, access to regular outdoor activities and genuinely nurturing. The exciting range of activities/topics provide lots of fun both inside and outside the classroom. A huge benefit is being set on a farm which the children enjoy regular outings to explore. Our eldest in preschool loves the forest school activities! Additional weekly classes are offered: music and movement for the babies and French with for the older children. Staff are extremely caring and compassionate and work with parents - eg: gently encouraging a child's confidence to grow and provide reassurance to parents if needed; our youngest initially struggled a little with drop off as a lockdown baby. The parent app is great for quick communication as well as daily updates/pictures. Parents can also update on life outside nursery. Management is super! Monkey Puzzle is an excellent nursery and my children have loved every minute attending here. The staff are exceptional and provide such amazing activities to keep the children engaged. My two love being outdoors exploring so this is the perfect setting for them. Regular walks out on the farm, forest school, lots of outdoor activities and fun. The nursery management team have always been really helpful and flexible for me with additional sessions and time changes which is exactly what you need when trying to juggle a busy work and family life.

Lovely nursery in a beautiful setting. Set on a farm, the children get the experience of visiting the farm often and see lots of sheep and tractors. The staff are friendly and my child is thriving there.

My son started with the nursery in November 2021 and sending him to this nursery was the best decision we made. The facilities are lovely, both inside and out. The staff are friendly, informative and kind, towards myself and my son, and I think their communication is very good. The staff and management are understanding and accommodating which really puts my mind at ease. My son really enjoys attending nursery and I think it has been great for him, so we are very happy.

Our daughter has been attending Monkey Puzzle Astwick for around 14 months. She settled in so well and absolutely loves attending - so much so that she shuts the door on me as soon as she walks through the door!

Her development has come on leaps and bounds since she started and everyone comments on what a sociable little girl she is after being a 'lockdown baby'. The ladies in her room are so welcoming and friendly and the ladies in the office are always really prompt and helpful.

The setting is brilliant and we love that they go on walks around the farm and are introducing forest school activities at the moment. Many of our friends comment on how they wish their nursery was more like ours - particularly about the setting and the amount of information/pictures we receive each day through the app.

My baby started the nursery in August at 10 months old. Despite a few wobbly days to start with, she settled so quickly and gets so excited about going in now. As soon as we pull up in the car park she can’t wait to get in the doors. All the staff are friendly and make sure she is happy. My baby also had food intolerances and it has never been a problem for them and she is able to participate in everything still! I recommend Astwick to all my friends!

We’re really happy with Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Astwick for our two year old daughter. She started when she was one and has moved through three age ranged rooms now. Our experience is that all the staff are very friendly, caring and understanding, building great relationships with the little ones. They really create a lovely environment for the children inside and out, always doing lots of fun activities, themes for learning every month, going to see the farm animals and exploring nature in the beautiful grounds as well as fun play in their garden. Updates and pictures of general daily activities and regular learning observations for our little girl all via the app are really helpful to get a feel of what they’re getting up to and how they’re doing at nursery.

My daughter has come on so much since starting Monkey Puzzle. She can write her own name, is a lot more confident, has been potty trained, which nursery assisted with and gave advice. I love the fact it’s so outdoorsy and on a farm.

My son loves his nursery, and so do we. The staff are so friendly and know my son inside out. He has learnt so much which is fed-back to me and my husband regularly, as well as hints and tips on how we can support him at home. The nursery is based on a farm so the children get to explore more than they would at an average nursery, which is just fantastic! I really feel like he's at home and well cared for. I have recommended to everyone I speak with looking for a nursery!

I am so happy we found this nursery for our daughter. It’s a really lovely location, set next to a farm with animals - which is a huge bonus as my daughter loves animals. The children get to spend quality time outside which is vital to their well-being and development. The nursery itself is a lovely building well equipped with everything my little one would need or want. The staff are outstanding, they really do care and I feel very reassured that they take the best care of my girl. She has come out of her shell so much since attending and is really growing in confidence and thoroughly enjoys her days there! I love the app they use, and the little updates you get throughout the day when your child is with them.

Our son loves it at Monkey Puzzle. The drive into the nursery is like something from a storybook and the nursery take the children outside daily if possible. My little one has developed so much since starting in February. Staff are always helpful and make a real effort to get to know the child’s family. Communication is great and the app is a great idea. I am fully aware of what my little one gets up to whilst there and he always has a smile on his face come collection time. Would highly recommend.

Monkey Puzzle Astwick is such a wonderful nursery. It set in a beautiful location of farmland and greenery, meaning the children get to play outdoors and be close to nature on a daily basis. The staff are extremely caring and passionate about the children’s development and well being. My son looks forward to nursery every day, and we are comforted knowing that he is in such an amazing place, and being looked after by key workers that genuinely care about him. I’m am so grateful for everything they do for my son every day, and will be sad when he has to move to big school!

My son has been attending Monkey Puzzle Astwick for almost a year now and he loves it. Having placed my children at a handful of nurseries over the years, I can, hands down, say that this establishment tops them all. The environment, meals, outdoor spaces, staff and communication are all of the highest standard. My little one will be starting school soon but I know that he will treasure his memories of his time at Astwick forever.

Superb nursery set in the grounds of a farm. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very supportive. Activities are varied and I love that there is an opportunity to get outdoors and visit the animals on the farm. This makes the nursery stand out from others in the area. His development has come on wonders since attending and I feel confident in knowing we have made the right choice. In a time where things are so uncertain, it is such a comfort to know how happy he is at nursery and we are so lucky to have been able to send him during this time. Would recommend to anyone without any hesitation. Love that we have the app to keep us up to date with everything he does each day and allows us to see pictures. We love it!

Our son is extremely well cared for at Monkey Puzzle Astwick. Starting during a pandemic when he had never been around other adults seemed daunting but the staff made it so easy. He has now settled in very well and has good relationships with staff. We are well informed of what he gets up to when he is there and they are quick to act if he isn't quite himself. The staff can be commended for doing everything they can to keep the children safe and healthy during a time when a lot of parents are nervous about leaving their children for the first time.
