Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Ower

I cannot recommend Kiddi Caru Ower enough, my twins have been attending the nursery since they were 10 months, they are now 4. They have strong bonds with the wonderful staff that work very hard there. The staff have always been kind, accommodating and helpful to me and my family. My twins are very happy to go to nursery to see their friends and staff, they are well socialised and have learnt so much through nursery. Thank you to the team!

Kiddi Caru Ower has gone extremely downhill. There are never any staff, resulting in agency most of the time. At times there has been only one member of permanent staff, which affects the care the children are getting, but also has resulted in some of the permanent staff to sadly become rather disengaged and miserable, which shows. Barely any handover, apart from 'they've been fine today'. App updates are non-existent. Emails being sent a lot stating they cannot cater for all children due to staff numbers or they need to move to the sister nursery. When I turn up at 5.20pm everything is packed up. Not good enough when people are paying until 6pm. I've now had to remove my children from Ower as a permanent member of staff accused a male agency staff member of kicking my son. This is the agency staff that are apparently thoroughly 'vetted'. Sadly this is no longer a nice place to send your children, nor is it safe in my opinion due to the lack of permanent staff. Avoid.

My daughter loves the staff and I've made a few friends as well in them, always have time for a chat and they are very friendly. However recently there have been many staff shortages and lots of staff are leaving. This means agency staff are used and the same bond is not there for my child. Many of the senior staff, having been with the team for a number of years, have recently left, including the in-house chef, which is a particular shame, as she was always on hand to discuss food issues. I feel the issues are probably caused from higher up and unfortunately, they are losing good staff. Parents/carers want consistency in who looks after their child and perhaps the team is undervalued. I should think that management's priority needs to be the happiness of the staff and the rest will fall into place. Unfortunately, if agency staff are being used more and more, not only will you lose valued members of the team, but also children, as they will seek alternative arrangements.

The only concern I have had is I haven’t been able to send my child in twice now due to staff shortages which have been a bit of an issue.

The number of agency staff in rooms recently outweighs the number of usual staff members unfortunately, this seems to be affecting what learning is able to take place and makes me question the level of care too. Lack of IT equipment for staff to use with children, which is very disappointing in this modern age where technology has proven very engaging for children and to support communication with parents.

Excellent nursery, it has been great throughout the last 7 years, so sorry to leave but both my little ones are now at school and growing up too fast. They provided a great start and good foundations for social skills and early development. I would highly recommend Kiddi Caru Ower to all. Will be missed.

I am a parent for a little boy in the over twos room. The girls are really friendly and give a good handover about the day. We have had our parent calls this week and was great to hear how the nursery supports the children to reach their next steps. The food sounds better than I eat myself and the whole atmosphere of the nursery is positive, friendly and I am really happy with the care.

A lovely, friendly, caring nursery with excellent staff. Always such a warm welcome for our children each morning and they are always happy at the end of the day. Hugely comforting to know they’re being so well looked after. Thank you Kiddi Caru Ower!

The ladies in the baby room are great.

My little girl is very well looked after and she loves going to play and learn.

She likes playing with their toys and has a great relationship with the ladies there who care for her very nicely.

Overall we have made the right choice and are very happy

My son really enjoys coming here, all the staff are lovely and always let us know what he has been up to during the day. The outside space is fab and I really like that they spend lots of time outside when they can.

Every single one of the staff at Ower were welcoming, personable and friendly from the moment my tour began. I love how homely the nursery feels and I am made to feel like my son is not just a number in a room which was so important to me. I can always reach them whether it's for admin queries or the staff themselves. Sending my firstborn son to a nursery was scary, but the staff and my son's keyworker have made this process so easy and comfortable, thank you all.

The facilities are really homely.

All staff are enthusiastic about providing quality childcare and as a teacher, I can appreciate the effort that goes into planning engaging activities. Every day the children receive well balanced nutritional food that is cooked on site and the management is welcoming and organised.

We are so thrilled with the choice of nursery for our son, having recently moved here. The staff are fantastic - it is lovely to see their smiling faces in the morning and at pick up. They are always willing to go the extra mile and are very tuned in to the children’s individual needs, as well as supporting them in social interactions with others.

My child has attended Ower Nursery since he was a baby and he is now starting to get ready to leave for school. The staff have been amazing throughout covid and have maintained communication throughout. I always get a detailed handover and great updates on the parent's app. I can’t thank the girls enough for helping my little boy grow into the young man he is today.

My son has been going to Ower Nursery since April and he has grown so much In that time. I love the garden and the fact he can go out whenever he wants as he loves being outside and I like seeing what he gets up to on the parent's app. His key worker is friendly and gives a good overview of what he has done that day.

The staff have been nothing short of incredible. During Covid, they did an exceptional job of providing the best service and continue to do so. My daughter loves going here and flourishes. Nothing is ever too much to ask and the staff always make you feel welcome and at ease.

The staff are always very attentive and helpful when I have been in. Always a great handover, children are very happy and the setting has very engaging activities. The setting is in a great location. The equipment is age-appropriate, good quality and have meaningful purpose for the children to learn and develop. The staff care about the children and have built up a great relationship with them.

A friendly and caring nursery who will always put the child at the centre of what they do. The staff are just amazing and genuinely care about the children they look after. Our son loves the range of activities on offer and is looked after well. The nursery is run by experienced members of management who always take the time to listen to feedback and actively build positive relationships with parents.
