Welcome to Surbiton Ewell Road Day Nursery and Preschool, located in a beautiful historical church and conveniently positioned near Surbiton and Tolworth train stations. The nursery offers exceptional care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, along with added conveniences such as onsite parking, a buggy park, and extended opening hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm.

The nursery features six spacious, age-appropriate rooms with free flow access to outdoor gardens. Babies enjoy sensory resources and a separate sleep area, while toddlers engage in activities fostering independence and creativity. Preschoolers benefit from science, arts, and school-readiness programs through the Bright Beginnings Curriculum, aligned with the EYFS framework.

The nursery also boasts a large outdoor garden with separate play areas for different age groups. Landscaped with astroturf for year-round use, the garden includes exciting resources such as mud kitchens, water features, trikes, outdoor chalkboards, and play trays, all designed to inspire active exploration and a lifelong love of learning. My daughter has been at Bright Horizons Surbiton Ewell Road for a couple of years now since it opened. She thoroughly enjoys her time there and really looks forward to it each week. The staff are very caring and nurturing and I am really grateful for the support they have provided her. The rooms are
all well equipped and provide a good mix of stimulation for all children of various abilities.
During covid, a challenging time, management tried to keep communication as clear as possible for us all so that we were aware of nursery closure and how it impacted us, which was greatly appreciated.
I look forward to my son joining and enjoying it as much as his sister!

Our son loves going to nursery each day; he waits by the door with his backpack most mornings, eager to get going. He initially had difficulty settling and the staff - both carers and administrators - were incredibly supportive and went above and beyond in this transition period, allowing him/us extra
settling support to ensure he was comfortable with his new environment before beginning his regular booking pattern. We appreciate the effort made to communicate likes/dislikes/any issues and general day-to-day updates. They've done a particularly good job since re-opening during COVID, sending home photos so we can see what he's up to during the day and giving detailed handover reports. Overall the staff make this a great nursery to attend. They really make an effort to get to know the entire family and we love that even those not in his room are always saying hi and know him by name. We've been very happy so far and would recommend the Surbiton Ewell Road nursery.

Such a friendly environment. The staff are brilliant and so helpful. My son has developed so much since he has been there. He loves going to nursery and can’t wait to get in the door. I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Ewell Road.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Almudena is originally from Spain and began her journey with Bright Horizons as a Nursery Assistant, progressing through the years to become Third in Charge. After gaining valuable experience as a Nursery Manager at a smaller setting, where she further developed her leadership and management skills, she is thrilled to have returned to Bright Horizons — a place that truly feels like home.


With a strong background in early years education and a particular passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Almudena has taken on SENDCO responsibilities throughout her career. This experience has deepened her understanding of how to nurture and support every child’s individual development.


Almudena brings energy, dedication, and a genuine love for childcare to the Bright Horizons family and looks forward to being part of each child’s early learning journey.
