Stars Pre-School Woodston cares for children aged two to five years within the ground of Woodston Primary School. The purpose-built indoor and outdoor environments promote creative experiences to inspire play and learning, by providing resources that every child who attends Pre-School can learn through play.

The Pre-School provides endless opportunities for children to thrive. Whether your child loves the great outdoors or enjoying messy play there is something for everyone to have a wonderful day at the Pre-School! Each child is considered unique and activities are individually tailored to enable them to express themselves and explore their individuality and personality, while closely following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The Pre-School has an enthusiastic team who are all highly skilled, caring and supports all children to help them grow in confidence and develop physical, mental and social skills. Each child is assigned a Key Person who works closely with them to support their emotional and educational development during their time at the Pre-School and always providing those much-needed cuddles. The team has strong parent partnerships and are always welcome to meet regularly with their child's Key Person to discuss their child's progress.

Great nursery. My son struggled to settle when he 1st came but with the help of the brilliant staff. He now loves it here. Staff are kind, warm and loving. Any minor issues are resolved quickly and there is great communication.

The staff of this nursery are more than amazing. Every morning they receive us with a very big smile and with good energy.
Every person I meet here is special. They have answers to every question and special energy with kids.
My daughter loves to come here. We will miss a lot every person we meet
here. We love all of them.

My son has settled in really well since he joined in January. The staff are very kind and welcoming and have been great at helping him settle. He enjoys going in every day and has already started making friends. I'm also happy with how his learning is developing and the structures in place. I would

Very good pre-school with amazing and caring staff. Outside space is excellent with flower and fruit garden and lots of things to climb on as well as areas for quiet play. My daughter enjoys all the activities provided and there are plenty of them to choose from every day. She can run, get muddy and
messy and comes back home happy. I always get a phone call if she is unwell and her key person shares any concerns with me. She loves all the practitioners working here and I feel safe leaving her there every day. The only cons are the lack of hot meals and not very creative arts and crafts activities.

Overall, the nursery itself is outstanding. The staff are caring, always there when you need help. They are very safeguarding towards my two children and their care for them is unreal. One member of staff who deals with my children is outstanding, my children are always super excited to come to nursery
and play. They are always talking about how good their days are.

My daughter has attended since March 2022 and will sadly leave this July to start school. She started attending every morning and since January 2023 has been in full-time. The staff were wonderful in helping her make this transition. She loves the setting and the staff and has built up a close bond
with her keyworker. She is always happy and keen to go in and loves all the activities that the setting provides. She loves the outdoor area and anything that is messy. The home corner is also one of her favourites. The staff have been amazing in helping with potty training and thanks to their approach this has been very successful. Communication is first class, at pick up time we are always told what kind of day she has had and if there’s been any problems or things to celebrate. The use of the app means I get to see what she does even when I’m at work which is very reassuring and also a pleasure to see her enjoying herself. Highly recommended.

Since my boy started, we've been very pleased with how he got used to the nursery. His speech has developed a lot, making better sense, and the toilet at school is great, hasn't had an accident. For lunch, he almost has all his lunch, which he never did before. Really pleased. Thank you.

We started the nursery three days ago.
Everyone made us feel like we knew each other for ages.
Kids are always clean.

I have been in childcare for almost 20 years now and have worked in several of the Stars settings during this time, working my way up from practitioner to Manager.
My ultimate goal as Manager is ensuring every child in Woodston's care receives the best possible developmental outcome through providing exciting and engaging experiences through a holistic approach to ensure their needs are met.
My team and I strive to provide the best possible care through nurturing their little minds and us being such a big part of their learning is truly a privilege.
