The staff at Fennies Wimbledon have been absolutely wonderful. They are professional, caring and friendly. The management are efficient and respond very quickly. We have had a brilliant experience with our daughter who attended since April 2021. The staff are so welcoming and really get to build a strong
relationship with your child, they helped my daughter build her confidence and really encourage independence but are also supportive. The nursery itself is very safe and clean, we loved the balance of open play and structure, our daughter always spoke so highly of all the staff and really enjoyed her time there, we were sad to leave!

The menu is outstanding, there is a chef making fresh and healthy meals, we opted for halal and there was a lot of attention and care to ensure these needs were met. The communication is outstanding, they use the tapestry app and we are able to see videos, detailed observations and photos of our daughter. I highly recommend Fennies Wimbledon!

Fennies Wimbledon is more than a nursery! With twins, life can get a little crazy especially when your family and support structure live far away. Fennies Wimbledon staff are professional, nurturing and developmental. Our little ones enjoy school, speaking of their teachers all the time. Thank you Fennies
Wimbledon for your unconditional love! We value the nursery and recommend it as "home away from home" to any parents considering sending their precious children there.

The staff at Fennies Wimbledon have been absolutely amazing since our daughter started there a year ago. They are incredibly kind, caring, and in but also professional. We have loved being part of the Fennies family and are only leaving due to moving out of the area.

Our daughter attended this nursery for 18 months and was very happy during her time there. She loved all the staff and activities and the only reason we moved her was because we left the area.
The staff seemed to genuinely care about our daughter and she built really strong bonds with them. I also
liked the contact we had with them so we were always aware of what our daughter was learning.
I would recommend this nursery to any parent in the area and I have!

I cannot thank the staff at Fennies Wimbledon enough for their genuine care of my son. He has now been attending for over two and a half years during which time he has consistently been given quality and varied opportunities to learn and develop. The resources which Fennies have are excellent and really
support the varied interests of the children. The garden is a particular strength of the nursery and offers children opportunities to develop their physical capabilities with new and exciting equipment.
My son is always keen to leave the house in the morning to attend and at pick up time is very proud to show me his paintings.
The catering is excellent and the menu has really developed my son’s appreciation of food; his current favourite seems to be curry!
I find the management highly efficient and always respond very quickly when I ask for feedback.
Overall, I highly recommend Fennies Wimbledon to any parent looking for a home from home caring environment.

Our son was only in Fennies Wimbledon for under three months until we moved out of the area but it was such a welcoming experience for us as a family. There are regular updates everyday with regards to the food he ate from breakfast, lunch and tea, including two snacks. They also provide updates on
nappy changes, sleep and even milk intake. It's so important to receive these details so we were not left wondering if he was eating well or not. It's also important to know the food he had so we can give him something different for his meal at home. We also look forward to his observations and his week at nursery which normally comes with photos and feedback. Thank you Fennies Wimbledon management, staff and teachers!

Our son attended Fennies Wimbledon for just over a year from twelve to twenty eight months, until we moved out of the area. The whole family were very sad to leave Fennies Wimbledon. The team, including management and the carers in the rooms, really care about every child. The preschool staff all knew
his name, despite the fact that he was never in that room. As well as being a loving environment, it is also a slick, professional operation and the response to Covid-19 has been excellent. We have felt comfortable with what they have done from day one, despite the massive uncertainty early on. Our son’s development while at Fennies Wimbledon was astonishing, he learnt a lot and his growing confidence is great to see. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

When choosing a nursery (in 2019) we visited 3 in our immediate local area and decided to go and see Fennies because we knew it was new and purpose-built (despite being the furthest away from our house). We were extremely impressed with the management and teachers. The children had so much space to
play (including outdoor space), and lots of non-defined toys to encourage creativity and imagination. From the moment our child started at Fennies they have thrived. All the staff are attentive and are willing and able to go the extra mile. It very much is a partnership between parents and teachers. Like most nurseries you have daily updates; but you also get insights into the children's week, latest updates from the nursery and the wider group. The communication has been very good, which when dealing with a pandemic has ensured that parents stay as connected as possible to the nursery without being physically able to go inside.

Fennies Wimbledon have been amazing, can't recommend them enough! My daughter went there for 2.5years (until we moved abroad last month) going through all rooms (Baby, Toddler, Pre-school) and we loved every second of it. The staff are amazing - kind, they love the children and build strong relationships
with them, they focus a lot on each child to help them develop and continuously learn! The food is really yummy and freshly cooked daily on the premises (the cook loves the children and they love her and her food back). The management is very professional and accommodating. They have all also been amazing with my daughter's food allergies. We miss them dearly! My daughter still talks about them and wants to play lego-Fennies every day. What more of a true testimony would you want from a child that she really enjoyed the place!

My son has attended Fennies Wimbledon since January 2019. He has been extremely happy throughout his time at Fennies and will be sad to leave to start school in September. He has received outstanding care from the staff in each room, and the management team are friendly, open and approachable. We have
loved the family atmosphere created by everyone in the nursery, both at drop-off and collection where detailed handovers are provided, but also at the family events put on throughout the year, such as the summer party and pancake day. The rooms are well equipped with a range of different materials and resources to stimulate and aid his development, and the staff plans out activities to meet and challenge his needs. The outdoor space is used well in all weathers and seasons. My son is happy and excited when we arrive in the morning, and when he is collected in the evening it is clear he has had a great day. Thank you everyone at Fennies!

I can’t recommend Fennies enough! Our daughter started there in July when she was 11 months. I can honestly say she loves going to nursery. Her first word that she ever said was the name of her key worker! The staff are a joy and all take their job seriously but full of love and care for the children.
Settling in was done so gently and sensitively, we have never had any experience of our little one crying at drop-off. If anything there are only tears at a home time because she wants to stay! The team were extremely accomodating and helpful with a series of food allergies that our daughter had. It was such a relief to know that they took it as seriously as we did. Fennies feels like a real collaborative partnership between the parents and the staff creating a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fennies Wimbledon to anyone looking for childcare in the area. Big thumbs up from us!

We count ourselves as very lucky to have found such a caring, incredibly kind and flexible nursery for our little ones. Our son had a bit of teething problems settling in due to the first lockdown, but the team and management went over and beyond to help us feel involved, kept us in the loop and were
just fantastic. It is so reassuring to be able to check via the Tapestry App what little one is up to throughout the day. We can easily check what he had for lunch when he woke from his nap and also all nappy changes. For us, that is super helpful to feel like we are part of his day. We also love seeing all the pictures of him during fun activities summarised as a highlight of the week. Sometimes even videos. Snippets like this were again absolutely crucial for us to feel comfortable when he was settling in and we couldn’t be part of it. The Wimbledon Fennies team is nothing but amazing. They have been so warm, polite, loving, caring and fun since we have met them. Big thank you to the team.

My daughter has been attending Fennies for 2+ years now and she absolutely loves it! The staff are all absolutely wonderful, so caring, positive and bubbly. My daughter’s confidence, speech and education has come on leaps and bounds too. They can even get her to eat foods she’d never dream of trying
at home. We couldn’t ask for more! Huge thank you to the Fennies Wimbledon team.

My daughter has been attending Fennies for 4 days a week since August. The team there are super friendly and caring towards her. The managers are great. Very approachable and have a genuine care for our child. The girls in the room and wonderful. The fear of my baby crying when we drop her off was not
necessary, she greets them all with open arms. Staff are amazing with her and I feel 100% confidence in the care and love they provide. My child is definitely benefiting from the social interaction with other babies and from the activities the girls do.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.786)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.786) out of 10 for Fennies Wimbledon, Elm Grove is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.386 for Fennies Wimbledon, Elm Grove is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 132 Ratings = 4.386
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.4 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fennies Wimbledon, Elm Grove is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 number of registered child places is 18. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 18 = 0.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
