Since my daughter joined Fennies Wimbledon at 14 months, the staff have been exceptional. She takes time to settle, but their patience and creative ways to keep her happy ensure she feels secure. Now transitioning to the toddler room, they've made this shift smooth and exciting, maintaining nurturing
care. The activities are outstanding-arts, crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play spark her curiosity and support growth. From painting to group games, every activity is tailored to her age, fostering confidence and social skills. Regular updates on her progress and milestones keep us connected, and their openness to suggestions makes us feel heard. The staff's warmth and professionalism create a nurturing environment where she thrives. I highly recommend Fennies Wimbledon for its caring, stimulating atmosphere-a true second home for my daughter.

Our child has been attending the nursery since last month, and we are very pleased with the experience. As English is a second language, the staff offered an extended settling-in period, which greatly supported our child's confidence and comfort. Teachers plan engaging activities across varied topics,
encouraging curiosity and participation.
Staff show genuine care each day, and the daily activity updates help us understand our child's mood and experiences after pick-up. This has been very valuable for maintaining continuity between home and nursery.
An administrative error with an invoice occurred once, but it was resolved within a day thanks to the quick response of the team, which showed professionalism and good management.
The facilities are well kept, classrooms have appropriate resources, cleanliness is consistent, and safeguarding measures are clear. Overall, we appreciate the dedication of the staff and management and would recommend this nursery to other families.

We couldn't be happier with Fennies Wimbledon. The staff are the kindest, most caring and supportive people - always friendly and welcoming. They have made what could have been a difficult transition for me and my daughter into such an easy and pleasant journey.

The rooms are bright, engaging and thoughtfully

set up to encourage play and learning, and the garden is a wonderful, safe space where the children can explore and enjoy outdoor time.

Overall, we feel very lucky to have found such a warm and nurturing nursery for our daughter.

My daughter loved attending the nursery-she was excited every morning to go! The teachers are incredibly kind and caring with the children, and they engage them in a wide variety of activities that clearly help the kids develop new skills. Our only concern is that the air conditioning in the smaller
room is insufficient. During hot weather, it gets uncomfortably warm, and the children seem to struggle with the heat.

Our son thoroughly enjoys being in Fennie's. His interests have grown too. The start was always nerve wracking for us parents but he settled in well because the staff had been very kind and supportive. At a time when too many staff are going almost at the same time, we can sense a change in him too
but he bounced back and adapted so quickly because of the same level of care that new staff are giving. We can only wish the best for the team in Elm Grove who continuously strive to give the best they could for these little humans.

My son has recently started at the nursery and all of the staff team have been amazing. They have supported my son but also us as a family with adjusting to our new routine.
The nursery always looks very clean and this was important for us when choosing a nursery.
Lots of information was provided
before we settled and it was a really smooth transition for us all.

Our little boy started at Wimbledon Fennies 3 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with our choice. I was a little apprehensive about leaving him at the start but the girls in the baby room have been incredible. Within a couple of days, he had made a really lovely bond with his key carer. She is just
brilliant! She made the settling week so much easier for both my son and I! I really can't thank her enough.
The communication from the room is brilliant. I am sent a lot of updates and get beautiful observations with lots of pictures. He has so much fun at nursery! He has been on walks to see the train and the ambulances and they always set up really exciting and engaging activities in the room. He has settled so well, which is such a relief and the girls have even managed to get him to nap! The nursery is really well organised by the management team and I am always greeted with a smile on my way in. I would absolutely recommend Fennies Wimbledon to anyone looking for a Nursery.

We sent our son to Fennies Wimbledon from 11 months to 1yr 8 months old and we were really impressed by the nursery and staff.
The managers are both very thoughtful and professional managers who helped a lot with the initial settling process and whenever we had questions throughout our time here.
The
girls in the Explorers room who looked after him were amazing and showed genuine compassion and care. Our son has definitely grown in confidence and it was really sad to move on due to moving house too far away. We would highly recommend.

Really disappointed in Fennies and their total disregard to the wellbeing of children and their own staff.
They are keeping the children inside with windows shut because a neighbour complained about the noise from children playing outside. The children are locked in packed rooms with the windows closed.
Asthmatic staff have apparently struggled, one recently leaving. The kids are trapped inside for hours (potentially 8 out of 10hours). They are only allowed short periods in the garden (30min morning by group so 15min, 1230-1330 (during nap time for some), then 30 minutes in afternoon. That is a disgrace.
Last week the room was so hot (a portable AC was moving between rooms) in outside temperatures of 25-31C and even hotter inside. It was like a greenhouse when I picked up my child they sweating as were the staff.
Unfortunately biting and scratching amongst kids is more common due to the extended periods indoors.

Avoid this nursery.
We've been here last 2 years. But it is by far one of the biggest regrets we've made.
The latest issue has caused the most upset amongst all parents - they are keeping the children inside with windows shut because a neighbour complained about the noise.
Complaints are falling
on deaf ears. The children are locked in (in overcrowded rooms) with no proper ventilation for hours. They are allowed only short periods in the garden. Due to one neighbour, the children suffer indoors and in current 30+ degrees weather. Room feels like a hen battery farm.
They will probably reply to this saying it's to protect them from the sun but you can ask the staff - it's because of the dispute.
The regional manager has insulted our intelligence by suggesting A/C is fresh air. The higher management only care about margins and profit, not about their own staff (most leave extremely quickly).
On a positive note, we love the nursery staff!

Amazing nursery. Not a single issue in over 2 years of attendance of my son. His development, since he started at Fennies, is amazing and he is a more confident child in comparison to when he started. The management is very good and have an open door policy.

We have been at Fennies Wimbledon since our son was one and is now nearly three and now our daughter is also attending. The staff in both rooms have been engaged, proactive, caring and simply wonderful at their jobs. The activities they do in both rooms are incredible; constantly inventive, creative
and seeking to engage in a variety of different ways throughout the year. The team are brilliant, they know our kids so well. They genuinely care about them and have helped support us with any challenging normal phases we went through. The management are supportive, warm and caring and have an honest, transparent approach to the parents and their interaction with the kids is heart warming. We are very, very lucky to have them. I wouldn't dream of having sent them anywhere else and feel very lucky that when my husband and I can't be with them, they get to be in a place that loves them and nurtures them both in this way. Thank you so much to the whole team.

The facilities are outstanding, the management very responsive and the staff are just all you could ever ask from someone who is going to spend so many hours with your child: friendly,

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.786)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.786) out of 10 for Fennies Wimbledon, Elm Grove is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.386 for Fennies Wimbledon, Elm Grove is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (12 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 132 Ratings = 4.386
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.4 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fennies Wimbledon, Elm Grove is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 number of registered child places is 18. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 18 = 0.5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
