Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery boasts 6 rooms, tailored to each individual age group. There is also a main garden, in addition to a dedicated baby garden, complete with climbing frames, sensory stations, a beautiful forest area, and an all-weather area, allowing the children to learn and play all year round.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Lovely nursery with fantastic friendly staff that are always polite and happy. My daughter enjoys her time and her confidence has built since joining the nursery. She has picked up new skills and created friendships. I appreciate the staff keeping in touch via the app and it's lovely being updated by
photos daily. I really appreciate the nursery looking after our daughter and providing good vegetarian meals that she enjoys.

The team are incredible; warm, welcoming and clearly care about the children.
I get regular updates on how my child is doing each day, with pictures. It puts my mind at ease and allows me to plan ahead for mealtimes and bedtime.
I'm particularly impressed by the food offered and activities undertaken
each day.

My little one has been at Bright Horizons for over a year and thoroughly enjoys it. Super kind and friendly staff; they're always so welcoming. The food is really varied as are the activities. I get daily updates on the app, plus more detailed reviews of my child's development and behaviour, which is
great to see. The staff have also given me brilliant advice when needed, which is really valuable as a first-time parent. Would definitely recommend Bright Horizons in Leatherhead!

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons in Leatherhead. My daughter attended part-time from 12 months to starting school in September and my 3-year-old son is still there. The staff are really friendly and my children both speak highly of their 'teachers'. They both settled in quickly and made strong
friendships with other children. There are always a wide variety of activities and I think these really helped my daughter prepare for school. There is a lovely outside area which is used regularly. You also get updates on the app with photos of what the children are doing and updates on how well they have eaten/slept etc.

My son started at Leatherhead Bright Horizons in September 2023.
The staff are some of the loveliest people I've met. The app is fantastic and gives me such a boost when I get the updates through the day while at work.
It's the best decision we've made as a family to join Bright Horizons Leatherhead,
I just can't imagine him being happier anywhere else.

Bright Horizons Leatherhead have been so accommodating with our daughter and are very flexible. My daughter attended this nursery from age 11 months until age 5. They are an amazing nursery with a great team of staff. We always got a warm welcome from the receptionist each drop off/collection. The staff really bonded well with our daughter and she always felt at ease going there. The chef made
very tasty meals according to our little one too! The staff really helped develop our daughters speech and confidence ready for big school. We will always look fondly back on her time at this nursery. They really helped with our daughter's speech delay and made sure we had the correct referrals in place for additional help for our daughter. We felt she went the extra mile and was happy to liaise with our daughters new school ensuring it would be a smooth transition for our daughter. Our daughter had her first day at big school today and she did great. No tears and had lots of fun. We are sure this was down to everything the nursery did to help get her ready for the transition.

My daughter is very happy here. She started in June and soon adapted to being in nursery than being at home. She has lots of friends here now and she wants us to draw pictures of them on paper. The staff are very communicative and great with the children. I am very happy that we sent her here.

Our son has attended Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery and Preschool for almost nine months now and we couldn’t be happier with him there. As soon as we looked around we could feel the warm and safe environment that it is and that comes from all the staff not just the staff in his room. We are
always given a comprehensive rundown of what he has been up to at the door when we collect, this is followed up by a handwritten daily report from his key worker, who clearly takes the time to get to know each child and their individual needs.

The manager and team are amazing, they make everyone feel welcome and at ease. Overall I am really happy with how my 2-year-old twins have settled into the nursery since joining in September last year. From our very first visit to look around, the team were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They’ve made a real effort to get to know my children and help them settle in. The
manager and the team are always very approachable and available to answer any questions. They’ve been particularly helpful during the Covid times when they are having to deal with stressful and unsettling situations which I really appreciate. My only build would be to provide more consistent feedback on child development and interactions (maybe like a Tapestry type app) as well as clearer information on their slips coming home each day. Overall would definitely recommend.

Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery and Preschool is a well-run nursery with excellent staff. The actual nursery is spotless and well equipped. My son also loves the food here which is varied and nutritious.
My son has been attending the nursery for 4 months now (from the age of one) and has really
thrived in the warm, fun environment here. We love the daily reports written by his key worker - from day one she has really understood my son’s personality and what he likes/dislikes.
I highly recommend this nursery.

I find myself recommending Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery and Preschool to every one of my friends in the local area who is looking for a nursery - my daughter has been at the nursery full time for a year now and she absolutely loves it.
The women there do a wonderful job, especially given
the current Covid restrictions - every effort is made to ensure that we get a great debrief at the end of each day on what the children have been up to!

Overall, very happy with the nursery and the care they provide for my daughter.
If there was any improvement, I would love to see more evidence of what she gets up to day-to-day and the progress she is making both in her skills and also with her relationships with the other children.
This could
be by videos/pictures/artwork brought home. Also, the slips she brings home are often inaccurate, so a bit more care into those would be appreciated.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I have been working in childcare settings for 17 years and at Bright Horizons Leatherhead since April 2021 after taking some time out from a 12-year career in an NHS day nursery to have my 2 little boys. I started here as the Room Lead for Preschool, and in August 2021 become the deputy manager here working alongside Eve and the team.


I have previously worked my way up the career ladder, starting as a nursery assistant to a nursery nurse and then to room lead where I remained for 10 years of my 12-year NHS career.


I strive to enable all children and families to receive the best possible care and give firm foundations for life, through communication and partnership working. I also enjoy seeing individuals grow and develop, so I also support staff to complete their NVQ and training, being their mentor.


I am NVQ level 5 childcare qualified and also have a level 3 NVQ in management. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of nursery life, from meeting parents and families, and working both as a team or independently, where no two days are ever the same, and I find growth such an important thing for myself, to both enhance my own professional development and the nursery team too.
