My name is Fiona, I have been the Manager at Shining Stars Day Nursery since November 2021. I hold a foundation degree in Childcare and Education and have worked in Nurseries now for 16 years working with children from 0-5 years.

I am also the nursery's Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Hi, my name is Hannah. I have worked at Shining Stars Day Nursery for 6 years and have been at the Clare Road site for 3 years now.

In 2020 I finished my Early Years Teacher qualification.
During my time here, I worked in the joint toddler and preschool room and then took over as the preschool room leader when the rooms split in April 2021.

I have been deputy manager and nursery SENCO since August 2022 and have completed my Level 3 Early Years SENCO qualification.

I absolutely love working in the preschool room, helping the children learn all the crucial skills they need later as they go to their schools.

Hi, I'm Amy and I'm the room leader of the baby room and deputy safeguarding lead. I have worked in childcare for over 10 years, 7 of which I have been in a baby room. I have a level 3 in childcare and hold a BA(Hons) in Early Childhood. I enjoy working in the baby room, watching and helping the babies reach their first milestones and developing their own personalities.

Hi, my name is Michelle, I have over 20 years of experience working in the childcare sector.

I have a Level 3 Diploma in child care and Education along with an NVQ in team leading.

I have worked in a number of settings and gained lots of experience in early years, nurseries, schools, and a SEND school.

I started working in a nursery in Cheshire which is where I am originally from, here I was employed alongside the nursery manager to set up and promote the brand-new nursery. I worked here for four years and gained lots of knowledge and experience throughout my time there.

I then moved to Yorkshire and was employed as a senior early years practitioner and spent 15 years working in and running the toddler room. I also gained experience as being promoted to deputy manager and fulfilled this role for another 2 years.

I then joined Shining Stars Day Nursery Clare Road in January 2022 and I am currently a senior early years practitioner/room leader of the toddler room which I really enjoy. I enjoy helping to promote children's learning and watching them grow and develop. Every day is different and I thrive on making the children happy.

Hi, my name is Louise. I began working at Shining Stars Nurseries in September 2023. I work across both Illingworth and Clare Road nursery sites as the company’s Training Coordinator. I am a qualified early years professional (level 6) tutor and assessor. I support, lead and manage all our fantastic Shining Stars apprentices with their ongoing personal and professional development in collaboration with Calderdale College. I recently completed a qualification in children and young people's mental health which is something that I am passionate about ensuring how to best support our younger generations with their personal learning journey and development.

Hi, I'm Emily. I've worked at Shining Stars for 4 years, 3 of them in the baby room and I have my Early Years Teacher qualification. I love working in the baby room and watching the babies grow and develop during their time with us.

Hi, my name is Carol and I have over 40 years experience working in the childcare sector and have an NVQ level 3 in childcare.

I worked in a nursery for 38 years until the nursery unfortunately closed and started working at Shining Stars Clare Road in January 2022. I work in the toddler room alongside Michelle and Hermione.

I love watching and helping the children grow and develop.

Hi, my name is Angela. I am NVQ Level 3 qualified and I started my journey into childcare in 1992, 32 years ago. I love being messy and creative with the children. I joined Shining Stars at the end of March 2024.

My hobbies include art, drawing, painting and walking my dog.

Hi, I'm Hermione and I am currently a level 3 apprentice in the toddler room, and I'm due to finish my qualification around April this year!
I have worked at Shining Stars since May 2023 and am due to go on maternity leave in May 2024!
I have worked in nurseries since 2021 after leaving college. My passion is to work with children and babies and one day I would like to go into midwifery.

Hi, my name is Holly. I am currently working towards my level 2 apprenticeship.

My favourite thing to do during my spare time is spending time with family and friends.

Hi, my name is Ismena, but everyone calls me Issy, I am currently working towards my level 3 qualification. In my spare time, I teach Polish on Saturdays at a language school.
