Set across 3 rooms (babies, toddlers and preschool), the children enjoy welcoming home corners and roleplay areas to develop their imaginations, cosy corners to snuggle up on the sofa and beanbags and read their favourite stories and space to enjoy creative activities, messy activities, water and sand play throughout the day. There are also small sensory rooms located in the upstairs of the nursery that children can enjoy in small groups.
The nursery is lucky to have a cook who provides healthy and delicious home cooked meals and caters for a range of food allergies and dietary requirements across the setting.
The nursery is based in the centre of Halifax, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. Being so central to the town centre, the children have opportunities to visit the Library, Piece Hall, local parks, the outdoor play areas at Eureka Museum and short train journeys.

The environment is clean, safe, and well-organized, with plenty of activities that support learning and play. They also make good use of outdoor space.
The food is varied, nutritious, and they're thoughtful about dietary needs.
Since starting, we've seen great progress in our daughter- she's more confident, social, and curious. It's lovely to see her so happy and settled.

They take the time to get to know each child as an individual, which really shows in how happy and settled my daughter is when she arrives each day.
The team are warm, patient and clearly passionate about what they do. They create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to explore, play and learn. My daughter has grown so much in confidence since starting, and it's lovely to see how excited she is to talk about her day when she comes home.
The activities they provide are thoughtful and engaging, helping children develop socially, emotionally and creatively. I also really appreciate how well the staff communicate with parents. Updates, photos and feedback about my daughter's progress always make me feel involved in her learning.

My granddaughter absolutely loves Shining Stars and loves the staff even more. When she is picked up of an evening she is so happy and jolly, every time and has always had lots of fun with all the different activities they do during the day/week. My granddaughter has had a birthday recently and they went above and beyond to make her feel special on her first birthday and she has the most amazing birthday card to confirm. My granddaughter is so lucky she gets to go to Shining Stars and she shows this whenever she leaves nursery in the evening. Everyone is doing a great job. Keep it up and thank you.

My granddaughter has been here about a month or so now and I couldn't be happier with nursery the app is great and easy to use the girls are lovely and my granddaughter seems very happy there apart from when she's trying to make me feel guilty from leaving haha.

Shining stars have been amazing! I was apprehensive about sending my child to nursery as I'm sure most parents are but they have gone above and beyond any expectations I had. They have such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and my child runs in every morning. I can leave there knowing my child is happy, safe and well looked after by the staff. They have been very accommodating whenever I've asked for changes. The SENCO is outstanding! I truly believe we wouldn't be where we are now without her help and expertise. My child is thriving here and it's so comforting to see and that's down to all members of staff. I feel happy knowing I made the best decision to start my child at Shining Stars and would never hesitate to recommend them to others!
