My son has now been at nursery for just over a year and has moved from starting in the baby room to caterpillars and is now in butterflies. Every single member of staff has welcomed him and me with open arms, whether that's his care workers in his room, the staff on reception or the cleaners, everyone
has been so warm and welcoming. When he first joined the nursery at the end of lockdown he found the transition quite hard but now happily goes to nursery and is excited to see his friends and the staff. Thank you for helping to make this happen!

It is a nice experience, my daughter loves it and to be fair this is the most important thing I think. They are really caring people and support you at their best. I wish it was more affordable though but this is not really the nursery's decision, more or less it is the same range in the UK.

This is one of the best nurseries in Derby. The staff are the most helpful and amazing. They are very kind and that is reflected on my daughter's relationship with her caregivers. She's always happy to go to nursery and she has a great time there. She learns a lot as they do lots of educational and
fun activities. The nursery has shown great support and flexibility due to special health circumstances (mums) and they provided help when needed. I cannot thank them enough for making my daughter happy and looking after her during difficult times it really means a lot. As for my experience, I definitely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been at Orange Tree from birth up to aged 4 when she leaves for school. I have nothing but praise for the nursery, the staff are wonderful and the nursery provides a fun, caring place for my daughter to learn.

The Orange Tree Day Nursery has created an amazing home from home environment for my daughter. They have supported all areas of her development and have gone above and beyond in their care and support of her. The staff are caring, fun & creative and provide a lovely atmosphere for her to learn and play
in. She has loved every stage of her three years at this nursery and I would highly recommend The Orange Tree Day Nursery to parents looking for a nursery they can feel confident in.

My daughter has been at the nursery for nearly 2 years since she was 10 months old. We have loved the way she has been able to grow with the nursery. The staff are incredible, always friendly and helpful. They are excellent at communication and provide varied learning themes every day. We looked around
a few nurseries before settling on the Orange Tree but haven't regretted our decision at all. Most importantly; our daughter loves it and is excited to attend every day.

I really can't recommend this nursery enough, they are brilliant with babies and children. My little one started nursery when he was 10 months old and he's just learnt so much from then to now. The staff are all so friendly, approachable and welcoming each time we drop and pick him up. I also love the
fact that we are kept up to date with his eating and learning and development, with cute pictures of him throughout the week. If you're looking for a nursery where your child is so well looked after and will love coming back each day, then look no further than the Orange Tree Day Nursery.

I really can’t praise this lovely nursery highly enough. My son started here in September 2021 and I’ve always been impressed by what the nursery offers. It’s very clean, the food is delicious (to the point where my son is often distinctly nonplussed by my offerings!) and the facilities are excellent:
lots of toys and activities and (best of all!) chickens and guinea pigs to fuss over! All of this is important but what makes this nursery is the staff. Caring for very young children isn’t easy, but the staff do it with such warmth and love and kindness that it really does shine through. I have never had the impression that caring for my son is just a job for them. It feels very much as if I am dropping him off to his own family, such is the level of care he receives. I’m always impressed with their patience, their knowledge of individual children and their love. I warmly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for care for their child.

Our little boy is 3 and has attended The Orange Tree Day Nursery since he was 11 months old. He has been well supported at each stage of his development and now embraces the challenges of preschool. He has always been happy to attend nursery and the joy can be seen on his face in many pictures and
videos sent through on the nursery app.
More recently he has faced a few milestones including becoming an older sibling and also potty training. His key worker during this time has supported him so well. She has always been super friendly and enthusiastic whenever we have been in contact at drop-offs/pick-ups/parents evening etc, and she has kept us up to date with his development on the eylog too.
Our son looks forward to going to nursery and gets excited to see his keyworker. And we have felt very reassured and happy knowing how content he is at nursery. The admin staff always respond swiftly and respectfully. We would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

We have been very happy with how our daughter has got on in her first two months. She is a year old. The staff in the room are very warm, and my daughter has responded really well to them, after being a lockdown baby with little exposure to others. The management is very responsive and helpful. They
are very communicative and efficient in sending us information on our daughter’s day. They were very helpful and responsive when I asked for dietary changes. The nursery, itself, is very bright and well and newly decorated and has a homely feel. We would wholly recommend The Orange Tree to others in the area who are choosing a nursery.

I looked at several nurseries before knowing The Orange Tree was the one. My son is so happy coming here and moving up from caterpillars to butterflies has gone really well. It’s great for the social side and all the messy play. I can go to work happy knowing he’s having a great day. All the girls listen

When your child gets physically excited upon entering the nursery car park, you know you are into a winner!
My daughter started just before the Covid pandemic when she was approximately 8 months old, she was born with a dairy allergy, and they were excellent at supporting me with that and taking steps
introducing dairy. As you can imagine it was a difficult time during the pandemic and took a while to settle when I reduced her hours to one day per week, but they all persevered with her and worked really hard to build that relationship with her in the Blossoms room. When her hours increased back up to three days, she really did start to settle, and it only took a week or so for this to happen. She grew too big for blossoms, so had to move up to caterpillars, she absolutely loves it, and she has made some very cute friends. All the girls that look after the children are fun, friendly, caring, patient, and the know their stuff. Couldn’t be happier with the care that my 18-month-old is receiving.

Orange Tree's team has been so professional and supportive when it comes to helping us out during a recent family emergency. They acted straight away to ensure my little one can be looked after by the lovely team per my extra requests. It has taken off a substantial amount of weight during a difficult
time for the family. This is a perfect demonstration of a nursery that really cares, not just for your child, but for the family as a whole. On top of this is the immaculate, fun, bright rooms and facilities (we love it at first visit), and a great team. I highly recommend The Orange Tree Day Nursery to parents who are looking at options out there.

We looked around two other nurseries in the immediate area and decided they weren't for us so we were delighted when The Orange Tree opened in September 2018. Our little girl settled into her new nursery with ease and we watched her develop and blossom into the character she is today. We cannot rate
The Orange Tree highly enough; friendly, professional staff, great flexibility, well maintained and clean buildings and gardens, excellent teachers, not just play-workers, outdoor play in all weathers, forest school days, animal handling, baking, stories, dancing, singing, role play, water play, the list goes on! Covid-19 management was also well-executed. Our daughter left in July 2020 and has now started school. We honestly believe The Orange Tree have helped give her the best start and we would recommend this nursery to anyone who wants a safe, fun, educational setting for their child. Thank you to the whole team.

My son has returned to nursery after 5 months away and has settled back in happily. He loves the nursery and all of the staff that he has been looked after. The staff have always been great at keeping us up to date and there are lots of great activities for the children to get involved with.

This nursery accepted both my boys with open arms. They helped make them feel both welcome and did all they could do to integrate them to the nursery.
The boys came home happy every day and always full of stories to tell me what they learnt and who they played with.

I would highly recommend Orange Tree, Duffield Road. This was the second nursery I tried as I wasn’t happy with the first. The difference was huge. All the staff, and I do mean all the staff love working with children. The reason I know this is how my daughter interacts with all the staff. She knows
all the staffs' names and is always laughing and chatting when she sees them. My daughter started in the butterfly room (I think it’s called that) and is now in preschool. She still loves seeing her butterfly teachers but is learning so much in preschool with all the other staff. She does Spanish once a week and I’m amazed at how much she has picked up. The atmosphere in the nursery is relaxed and well-managed thanks to the manager who my daughter also loves seeing. If you're looking for a nursery that has great interiors but also great staff and ethics, I would recommend Orange Tree, Duffield Road. I will be keeping my daughter there with all the lovely friends until school.

We moved our son to The Orange Tree on Duffield Road in September 2018. This was the best thing we have done. Our child has come on so much since being at Orange Tree. From the first time we stepped into the nursery, we had a good feeling about it. Brand new rooms, toys, sleep area, outdoor areas and
much more.
They took an interest in my child and found out what he liked so they could make sure he felt welcome. My son is very much into football and they even brought a brand new goal for the outdoor area for him and others to play with! Their attention to detail is great and all staff have thorough training. They have an Elog app, where photos will be uploaded during your child’s day- it’s brilliant to see what they are up to and having so much fun!


I can’t recommend this nursery enough, the manager and her Team will make you and your family very welcome. I would strongly recommend you take a look and see for yourself!

Our daughter goes to Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Derby and we are happy with our choice. We started nursery when she was only 7 months old and the nursery have been very accommodating in making her feel comfortable and happy. I am not from the UK so this culture of sending your baby to nursery is alien
to me but the staff have been ever so lovely. They’ve always been kind, reassuring and patient for both my daughter and myself to settle to this new routine. I absolutely love my daughter’s key worker, she’s a superstar. Both my husband and I like that the nursery is so tidy and really like the system they have for nappies, (it’s important to me) and day to day things. Highly recommend Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Derby.
