Located in the heart of York, Little Green Rascals Minster Yard is committed to eco-conscious practices, proudly holding the distinction of being the first Little Green Rascals city nursery. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery offers the perfect setting for exciting adventures and explorations. Regular outings expose little ones to the wonders of the magnificent city - whether it's delving into history at one of the museums, savouring a sweet treat at Bettys, or feeding squirrels in the Museum Gardens, the children are always out and about, regardless of the weather.

Embracing the beauty of nature, the nursery practices Forest School in Minster Gardens. In addition, a range of optional extra-curricular activities are on offer, to enrich children's experiences. From science classes and yoga to drama, French and Spanish lessons and various sports classes, the aim is to provide a diverse array of opportunities for children’s growth and development.

The nursery spans across two buildings, each with two floors dedicated to different age groups. The four rooms within these buildings feature dedicated areas for messy play, soft play, small world exploration and reading, along with separate spaces for peaceful sleep. The private garden further enhances the learning environment, boasting a mud kitchen and a lush lawn area.

It is recommended that Monk Bar Car Park (Sat Nav Postcode YO31 7QR) is used, followed by a short walk through Monk Bar to the Nursery.

The staff, atmosphere and location are all unbeatable with 7 Minster Yard. We feel exceptionally lucky to have our son go there (and are the envy of all our friends). Despite teary drop-offs and many wobbles, the team have done everything to try help our transition into nursery life as seamless as possible.
