The Old Station Nursery Mottershead Drive is a nurturing and inviting environment that offers plenty of opportunities for children to thrive. With a devoted and small team, this exceptional childcare setting provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children old can grow at their own pace. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

Each room has been carefully designed to support the growth and development of each child, with babies starting in a safe and comfortable space that encourages exploration and learning through play. Soft play equipment, sensory baskets, and musical instruments are all available for little ones to use and enjoy.

As children progress to the 2-4 room, they have free-flow access to the garden, where they can play and learn with age-appropriate resources such as a digital computer table, role play area, and arts and crafts area. The nursery also focuses on preparing children for their journey to school.

The attached garden is a lovely addition, offering ample space for outdoor play and exploration that sparks children's imaginations and love for the natural world. At the nursery, outdoor play is a priority, and children spend plenty of time in the fresh air.

I can't praise the staff and the way they look after my kids enough. My 1-year-old girl launches herself at her keyworker every morning she goes. And my little boy (3 years old) has a different story to tell each day.
The staff always supported his interests and a special thank you to whichever worker
introduced him to 'a bit of both' at breakfast time. It's now one of his favourite things to ask for a bit of both when he has a choice of cereal!
Handovers are always thorough and the observations are informative on how their week has been and how they are developing.
Also a special thanks to the chef. 99% of handovers include the phrase 'he/she ate all of their snacks/lunch/dinner with seconds'. So I know they're well fed and the meals always sound like something I want to eat.
The activities my 3-year-old does vary so much and we love that he has free access to a safe outdoor space and know he spends as much time as possible playing out there.
Glad we chose this nursery!

Fantastic all around. We had previously had our son at another nursery and he just wouldn't settle, it was suggested we try another nursery. Mottershead are so welcoming and our son has fitted right in, he loves going to nursery now. He's probably a little sad when he leaves at the end of the day. We
feel like we are getting really personalised service and all the staff are wonderful.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 1.5 years old. He's now 4 and has gained so much, including his confidence.
He loves seeing his friends. He's learnt to enjoy playing in larger groups.
His key worker has really helped him come along with his sentences, numbers, shapes etc.

I can not recommend The Old Station Nursery Mottershead Drive enough! This nursery is amazing thanks to the fantastic nursery manager and all the staff. If you’re looking for your child to have a home away from home, this is the nursery for you! My little girl absolutely loves going to nursery and she
loves all the staff. She is currently in the baby room filled with caring, kind, hard-working staff who make every effort to ensure she thrives in her development as well as being there whenever she needs. Mottershead Drive is like a second family, the staff will make every effort to get to know you, your child and your life. They use all knowledge to ensure your child feels safe, valued and heard. My little girl never leaves nursery without giving the staff members a cuddle goodbye and I know she gets that emotional support throughout the whole day. My daughter’s key worker is the most amazing person. She shares the sweetest bond with my daughter, I love hearing about her day and seeing weekly photos.

I would really recommend The Old Station Nursery Mottershead Drive to anyone looking for a nursery. The staff are all so friendly and really care about the children. I love that they go outside most days and do loads of different activities with lots of photographs for me to look at!

My child loves attending nursery and even though they are full-time, they have new experiences every session. They are always engaging and offer a wide variety of activities, both playful and learning. All the staff are fantastic! They all know each child and their families and always keep families

The team within Mottershead Drive Nursery have been absolutely fantastic. They are completely accommodating and extremely helpful. Nothing is ever too much.
The facilities are great. There is a real homely feel to the place. It's cosy and comforting.
The meals always look and smell amazing.
The manager
is amazing. Even whilst juggling two nurseries, she managed to assist me with queries in a timely manner.
The baby room leader has so much passion for what she does. She really does lead by example.
Overall, what a fantastic nursery. It's the best nursery out of four that I have put my children in over the years. I fully recommend it 100%.

What a credit the Manager and the team to her and the company! When I collect my son I am given an update on all the things he has been doing and the progress he has made. They accommodate his SEND needs with no issues. The best indicator that my son likes going to nursery is how happy he is to go to
nursery. The Manager is a treasure! She went out of her way to accommodate us viewing the nursery and spent time explaining how the nursery works and answering our questions. If we have any questions or issues they are actioned and resolved quickly. It is always a pleasure to meet the staff at drop-off and pick-up times!

After an awful experience at another setting, we moved our son to The Old Station Nursery just over a year ago and it was the best decision ever! Management is excellent and the staff in both the baby/toddler room have been fantastic and really helped our little one to thrive. They really go out of
their way to build relationships with the children so they feel comfortable and at ease. Every morning we are greeted with a warm welcome and a detailed handover at pick-up. They have a great outdoor space and lots of daily activities to keep children entertained with weekly photos sent via the app so we can see what he’s been up to. Lovely fresh homemade meals are served every day as well as healthy nutritious snacks. We genuinely have not had one issue or complaint. In the 14 months we have been there, and most importantly our son is always excited to go to nursery and happy when we collect him. Best nursery in Gloucester!

A great little nursery, the team are fantastic always going out of their way to help ease the child in as well as supporting the parents. Always greeted by a very friendly and approachable manager which makes all the difference!
Lots of activities for the kids throughout the day and outside play.
I am reassured when I’m at work that my little one is well looked after.

All the staff are amazing and supportive. Communication has always been brilliant, I remember ringing after every drop-off for the first couple of weeks just to 'check in'. They were always happy to chat and assured me he was fine. As a parent, you have access to an app where you can see various information
about their day but most importantly photos! Each day they do a varied amount of activities and also get the opportunity to play outside. The staff also take the time to focus on each child's interests as individuals too. The food always smells lush and the staff regularly tell me he asks for more! My son is currently being toilet trained and they have been great with supporting him. I couldn't be prouder of the little boy he's becoming and nursery are a huge part of this! I owe all the staff a big thank you but a special thanks to his current key worker and the manager. You are all a part of our family and we will be extremely sad to leave next year! The best nursery in Gloucester!

Our daughter loves to go to Mottershead Drive nursery. The staff made her feel welcome from the start. They listen to her and take her seriously in her wishes, if possible. She is always in good spirits when we pick her up. We know that the staff would call us immediately if something was not right.
This is very reassuring. Mottershead Drive is a smaller nursery than the other ones in the area, so if you are after a nursery with a family feel, where everyone knows your child and you by name, then you are right at Mottershead Drive.

The staff have been amazing with my little one. He has had a few different health issues and they have been so helpful with this. They are always so lovely at handover and my little one really does seem to enjoy himself. I also love the different hours they provide.
