The Old Station Nursery Mottershead Drive, Innsworth

Our son started at Mottershead last year, having been in contact with very few people due to lockdown and not having attended nursery before. From the very beginning, the whole team have been incredibly supportive of both my son and us as parents. In all the interactions we've had, I've known them to be genuine, kind and to truly care. The staff have gone above and beyond. Examples have included times when a comment I've made in the conversation has been thought about and used as the basis of an observation to explore the area of development more fully. It is a small nursery with a personal feel, with interactions with all members of staff feeling like they really know my son, and care about us as a family. My son is happy to go to nursery, and I have no doubt that is in large part due to how thoughtful the staff have been to go at a pace that suits him, and how empathic they are. Thank you!

I highly recommend The Old Station Nursery' at Mottershead Drive. We are so thankful for the amazing experience they provide for our daughter. She absolutely loves her time with them, and it is so reassuring how eager she is to run in through the doors in the morning. The activities are so varied and stimulating, they go above and beyond to provide a wonderful environment that makes exploring, playing and learning so fun. I am really impressed with how much outdoor play there always is, whatever the weather, the forest school and the animals are amazing.

During this time, it's been so hard to get the socialisation and breadth of activities for her, which has made the time at nursery all the more valuable. The staff are all amazing; they take so much interest in your child and love sharing their successes of the day when you collect. I am incredibly grateful for all their hard work, which is shown in all the developmental changes our daughter is making. Thank you so much!

My daughter started in December 2020. I was very nervous about her starting because she had at the point had very little interaction with anyone other than the people in our house. The nursery staff were very welcoming and understanding of me being slightly anxious, but they have done an amazing job with helping my daughter settle, and she is happy; I love seeing the photos that get posted up. A few times, I have called up, as my daughter has been poorly, and even then, they have said, if I need anything, then to let them know. I can't thank them enough for the amazing work they do and for helping with my daughter, who I thought was going to be screaming and crying every day. She so settled there that she even falls asleep on staff members! Thank you to the Mottershead team for all their hard work, it does not go unnoticed.

Great nursery with dedicated staff that genuinely care about the children's development. An inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes confidence and independence. Arising concerns are quickly and effectively addressed. Highly recommended!

This nursery is brilliant; lovely, caring and professional staff. They are a great support to my son and me. The place is fantastic with amazing facilities and activities, including forest school. They offer a lot of outside/inside activities and learning opportunities. Small classes allow staff to focus on children and encourage their development and independence.

This nursery has provided our daughter, who has additional needs, with a safe and caring environment in which she has gained so much confidence. We know that she will have the time and attention she requires and that staff really know and understand her. The coordinator is beyond excellent with skills, knowledge and huge amounts of experience. Communication is excellent, and without this nursery, I wouldn’t have been able to cope throughout this very difficult period.

A wonderful nursery that has provided care for my son since he was 18-months-old. Provided him with excellent opportunities and learning experiences. Also developing his skills and have been helpful with any queries or assistance that I’ve needed.

The setting is quite small, but we particularly liked the fact that it felt very calm and welcoming. It is clean, the food is great, and my son loves the sensory room. The forest school is also a huge bonus, and I love how much exposure the children have to the outdoors - especially for energetic little boys like mine!

I feel my child is supported fully and feels safe and secure when at nursery!

The facilities are brilliant, and I would highly recommend them.

It is lovely to see her so happy with the staff, and they are all very supportive and will help with anything you need for your Childs development.

The Old Station Nursery has been fantastic during the last several months. From when our son first started several months ago, the standard has been nothing short of excellent. We feel he is always well looked after, the staff are caring, kind and patient. The facilities and activities are absolutely first-rate.

Since starting at the nursery, I am confident that my daughter has settled well and is happy when she is there. She goes in happy and comes home tired from a fun morning. The staff are lovely which puts me at ease leaving her. The daily diary shows that she gets up to lots of fun activities and the outside space is just fantastic.

My son has attended Mottershead Drive for about 9-months now since I returned to work after maternity leave. He just loves it there, he loves the team and talks about them every day. This, in itself, is proof of how happy he is there. The manager and the team give daily reports on all daily information and also use Log for his learning Journey. This is lovely to have photos uploaded of activities throughout the day. Since he has attended the nursery, he has grown so much in confidence, his language has developed hugely. I would and do 100% recommend this setting to anyone. I trust the team there to look after and support his development.

Mottershead is like a home from home. The professional staff work really hard to foster a caring and inclusive atmosphere in which our child is thriving. He cannot wait to get to nursery in the morning, and more often than not doesn't want to leave! I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.
