Great little environment for kids to learn and play. We’ve been really impressed by the facilities and the staff. Kids are both happy, so pick and drop off is a pleasure.
Despite all the positive reviews Peartree gets, I feel Peartree West Road Nursery lacking. The nursery is on a very busy road, with time restrictions. The entrance has been moved from the front to the back so it’s now longer to get in the nursery once you have walked around the building, gone through 2 buzzers and 4 wooden gates. Not easy if you are needing to get to work sharp or tagging a sibling along. The room is beige/bland with limited resources. Activities involve a lot of free play with not a lot of direction mainly going to the park or library every week. The food seems to be ok. I want to give my daughter more with better-structured learning. Management doesn’t put themselves in parents' shoes to make our lives easier - they park onsite whilst parents have to park on a busy road, closed on bank holidays. Each to their own, especially as there aren’t many other options but I’m happy to be putting my daughter in a brighter/happier and more organised nursery even if it is a little bit further away.
Safety at Pear Tree Nursery is paramount. The main entrance has always been to the rear of the nursery and all parents are informed of this at the initial show round. This parent was unhappy that we asked her to use the rear of the nursery to ensure the safety of the children and we feel the...
Pear Tree Nursery is not only a wonderful place to be it’s a place where you know your child is safe, happy and in good hands. The staff work hard and do anything they can so your child can reach their full potential. Couldn’t ask for a better nursery.
Since then she thrives there, she walks in with a wave and a smile and is always happy to go to see her friends.
I like the outdoor ethos of the nursery - the children go for regular walks and outings (as well as a great outdoor space to enjoy) and get involved in the local community.
Staff are friendly, caring and very organised. I’m very impressed and I wouldn’t hesitate to reccommend them.
Couldn’t be happier with Pear Tree. The children have so much fun and are constantly doing exciting activities out of nursery.
The Pear Tree is full of staff that are smiley, happy, engaging and who genuinely care about the wellbeing and development of our son. He walks in straight away without looking back and comes home messy, tired and full of home cooked food, we couldn’t ask for more.
These guys are genuinely top notch, from our initial visit and tour to the regular updates and observations, we could not be any happier with the service they provide.
Amazing nursery. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They go out their way to care for and include all the children, making each and every one feel special. The staff go above and beyond especially at times like Christmas - having parties, seeing Santa, getting the children to make personalised gifts. The online journal is such a lovely touch, it lets the parents see what the children are getting up to and you can keep in touch via this.
Fantastic nursery. Staff are so engaged in the babies development. Unlike other local nurseries, Pear Trees takes the babies out into the community. This benefits my son as he loves being outdoors, meeting other people and seeing animals.
My daughter is always happy to be left at Pear Tree Nursery and is happy and smiling when I pick her up. I get updates when I am at work and pictures of what she is getting up to which is great.
Wow, what can I say? All I can say is that it is the best nursery and the staff are cheerful. My daughter has settled in very well, she always looks forward to going to nursery. They do loads of activities with the kids and keeps them well occupied.
My daughter started in the 0-2 room in July and has settled in perfectly the staff are amazing and they have helped build her confidence in all areas. My daughter has developed in her confidence, speech and play which is down to the nursery and staff. My daughter has 2 older siblings {teens} and not really around kids her age so nursery has helped there as well. My daughter loves the different types of food that they also offer and always comes away happy and well fed.
The staff at Peartree are incredible. They genuinely care for all the children. I have 100% faith in the staff to look after my son. I appreciate the time taken for updates sent via the Early Years Log as well as his recap of the day when he is collected. I love the diversity of the menu and my son clearly enjoys the food as he always clears his plate. My son has come on so well and become a very confident little boy since starting.
Could not recommend this nursery enough. Children are given so many wonderful experiences, the building itself is beautiful and every member of staff is so professional and caring.
This nursery is fantastic! The staff are very supportive and helpful during the settling in period for your child, they bond with the children and get to know each individual child! They are extremely understanding when it comes to food allergies and try to cater as best they can! The outdoor space they have is excellent and they are constantly adding to the play equipment.
The staff are always friendly and engaged with the children.
The team at Pear Tree west road are so welcoming and warm. My little one absolutely loves going to nursery and playing and exploring all the activities they have on offer. I am very happy with the standard of care, facilities and the attention they pay to all of the kids in their care. 10/10 would recommend.
Our 3 year old son settled in quickly and loves attending. I am constantly impressed with the range of activities and outings. They even arranged to meet a local farmer with his tractor when the children were showing lots of interest in farms and travelled by bus to a nearby train station when there was an interest shown in trains. They visit the local care home residents every week or so and have visited the nearby primary school to be read to by the children there. The facilities are excellent, the rooms clean, bright and engaging and the staff so caring and helpful. I love being kept up to date with what my child has been up to each day through the online system.
I feel completely happy with the care and attention my 16 month old is getting. He has been with this nursery full time for 6 months and has formed a real bond with the staff. We have never had a tear on drop off and collection and I know he is happy there. The warmth, consistency and expertise this team offer is outstanding!
