The setting has a wide range of fabulous resources available for the children to explore (they are getting chicks in soon!) and the outdoor area is fantastic. From the mud kitchen to the playhouse, large sand area and plenty of toys for physical and social development.
The manager and the deputy are both very friendly and easy to talk to, any queries I have are addressed immediately either face to face or through the Famly app which is simple and easy to use.

I have used this nursery twice, once with my eldest child and one who currently attends. He has adjusted there and I have no worries leaving him as he is only two. All of the staff are so nurturing and supportive and they provide him with so much care, attention and positivity. Staff are very communicative.

Fantastic nursery with a really good service. The setting is very welcoming. My child loves going, every day they do really fun activities. My child comes back learning something new every day. It has been an excellent start for my two-year-old. My experience here at Lydgate Pre-School has been fantastic! Being a worried and anxious parent, the staff and atmosphere have been friendly and amazing, and the support given is 110%, being a passive and happy environment for us as parents and our child. My child looks forward to going to nursery and has settled extremely well. This shows how confident we are in sending our child to Lydgate Pre-School.

The nursery is very helpful in giving us feedback. Due to their efforts, he has started finishing his lunch properly, which is such a relief. Whenever we go to pick him up they always give us a quick recap of how his day has been and about his abilities. The parent app has been really helpful for us to get all the information related to our son and nursery in general. They have got a wide range of activities for the kids to learn indoors and outdoors.

Facilities are great, loads of development activities and ideal location for us.

We have been very happy with this pre-school. The staff have adapted very well to operating during the pandemic. All staff are very caring and diligent towards my son’s needs and my son always speaks highly of all staff members. The pre-school appears to have a lot of resources and children are encouraged to participate in many activities.

Mariam is the Manager at Lydgate Pre-School. She has been part of the Early Years Alliance for 14 years and has been working in childcare for over 30 years, and holds a level 3 qualification in Early Years and is also the designated safeguarding lead.
