Poppies Day Nursery Maidenhead

We are very pleased with the care our daughter is receiving at Poppies in Maidenhead. She is supported in her learning progress and we very much appreciate the feedback provided by staff, in-person and online. Staff always make themselves available and we are very much impressed by their energy and creativity. Our daughter is always happy to come to the nursery and every morning opens her arms to give them a cuddle and greet them, which for us says it all!

We have been delighted with Poppies Day Nursery Maidenhead. Our son has attended since May 2019 and we were so pleased with how quickly he settled in the Baby Room. When he returned to Big Explorers after lockdown, our son was initially quite unsettled. The manager and team really went out of their way to make him feel happy, secure and relaxed and after a short while, he was back to his usual cheerful, confident self and looking forward to going in the mornings. He is now in Pre-School and it is so lovely to see his confidence continue to grow and hear him talk about all the activities he does and hear about the staff and other children.

The staff are incredibly caring, friendly and do everything they can to make learning fun and exciting. Days are well planned with a variety of activities for all weathers that are both engaging and educational. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces are great and the menu offered is varied and full of healthy options.

Very happy with the nursery. My daughter has been quite unsettled since birth but the nursery has done an amazing job at getting her to settle in really well. My daughter has an intolerance and they have catered for it really well and taken all necessary precautions.

My son attended Poppies Day Nursery for two years and ever since he joined, the staff always went above and beyond to accommodate us. My son thoroughly enjoyed his time at the nursery and was very sad to move on to school. Poppies ensured that my son was ready for this transition and every day he was learning new skills. We cannot fault Poppies and would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a great place for their children to develop.

My daughter has been attending Poppies for the last 6 months. She joined when she was 8 months. We have had the best experience, they are so caring in Poppies. All I can say is that she happily walks in in the morning and never wants to leave in the afternoon, we have to drag her out literally. She is happy, content, and learns lots. She has an egg allergy and they are being so caring and careful, never had a problem. Totally recommended.

Poppies are excellent, the staff are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They have a great selection of toys and our daughter is very happy there. I love that they have a rotation of good activities and a separate sleep room for the babies.

Love the team at Poppies, they are friendly and helpful and most importantly my little one loves it here. Great interaction with the children, they are always getting up to loads of activities from baking cakes to learning French. Would highly recommend.

It's hard to let go of your dearest baby into someone else's care, but Poppies managed this with so much compassion and consideration of our daily routine at home. My daughter smiles the minute she arrives at the front door, and I know she receives the best care when she is there, as well as being stimulated in a way that I couldn't do on my own at home. It's really easy to keep track of her days with the app as well as the round up the friendly staff gives at the end of the day. Shout out to the chef too as he has been very flexible with our weaning journey. I would highly recommend.

We are so happy that our son goes to Poppies in Maidenhead and really rate the team there. The managers and the team are outgoing and fun and the days are well planned with a variety of activities for all weathers that are engaging and educational. Our son comes home happy and relaxed and enjoys going every day. The free flow space works really well with the children being outside a lot and the inside space is large and cheerful without being cluttered. Most days our son comes home clean too as care is taken that he doesn’t get crazy messy. The menu is exceptional with loads of choices including breakfast and a wide range of world food and vegetarian options. The team keeps us updated every day with what our son has been doing, providing us with great feedback and conversation points for dinner time at home. We will be keeping our son at Poppies until he starts school and I know he will be very sad to leave!

Our experience with the nursery has been extremely good. My child is looked after well and he is eager to go back to nursery every day. He is learning new things as well. His daily activities are updated in an app which is very helpful to review. His carers are friendly and we get good updates when we pick him up. The nursery has high standards overall.

The staff have been caring and friendly and you can see there is a great working relationship between the staff. My child settled in so well and loves going to nursery! Communication is professional and regular, activities are varied and food is fresh, healthy and delicious! I would highly recommend this fantastic nursery to any parent or carer!

We would highly recommend Poppies Day Nursery Maidenhead. Our son joined at two years old in the explorers room and moved up to preschool. We had an easy transition from his previous setting, the staff made it very smooth and professional. The management and administration is great and responsive. The whole team is so friendly and caring, they felt like family to us. Their online app system is brilliant for instant development updates and lots of photos and videos. Their meals are organic and they prepare the menu for each child’s dietary requirements. In our case, they provided milk alternatives for his dairy free diet and even dairy free snacks. They are supporting and practicing second languages. They managed the Covid-19 situation extremely well and kept us informed throughout. My son's key career phoned us during the first lockdown, checking in how we are coping and they uploaded useful activity ideas, yoga exercises and stories. Plenty of parking and shops and a post office next door.

The manager and the team are absolutely brilliant. The nursery is extremely well run and the communication has been great. The team are friendly, caring, incredibly professional and having had our son with them over the past 18 months, we couldn't have asked any more of them. Most days our little boy doesn't want to come home, he's had such fun.

Our experience with Poppies couldn't be better. All the staff is extremely careful, after almost 2 years I could consider them our extended family. They are always so helpful, our son had some learning development difficulties and the team went beyond our expectations to help us. It made so much difference for him and I can't recommend them enough. If you are looking for a nursery in Maidenhead or Cookham area look no further - this place is just gold. We love Poppies! Our son has settled in brilliantly and always leaves looking like he has had the BEST time. This is all down to the wonderful Poppies team. The children complete lots of fun activities and we always feel confident that our son is being well cared for. Communications to parents are excellent, particularly during the Covid-19 restrictions, and assessment against the EYFS is very good. This is our first experience of a nursery environment and we are so pleased with our choice. We would highly recommend!

My wife and I highly recommend Poppies Day Nursery in Maidenhead. Our son has been attending since June (at 10 months old) and has settled quickly, he points excitedly on the way in and returns to us at the end of the day smiling and laughing. Updates from the team at handover combined with regular posts on Tapestry assure us that our son is cared for in a stimulating and sociable environment at Nursery, which is having a visibly positive impact on his development. This is testament to the happy, caring and positive environment that the team create (despite recent Covid-19 challenges). Communication is excellent, professionalism - with personal touches - is outstanding and we're really happy with the variety and quality of the food offering too. So glad to have been introduced to Poppies Maidenhead and haven't looked back since!

Our son has been attending Poppies since July 2019 in the under 2's room. I can not praise the staff enough, they put so much energy and care into looking after the children. They are all very friendly. I can tell that my son enjoys going there. I love receiving all the artwork he does there and hearing about all the activities that he has been up to. They also have a great, healthy menu.

We have been so impressed with Poppies Day Nursery in Maidenhead since our two daughters started there in February this year, in the under 2's room. They run the nursery extremely well and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We cannot fault anything. There is a genuine interest from the staff in our children which is really comforting. During the recent lock-down, we were so impressed with the communication and activities sent to us from the nursery. Poppies in our opinion went above and beyond and we are really grateful for that. We are looking forward to our children growing up with Poppies Day Nursery being a big part of that. Well done Poppies for running a fantastic nursery and thank you.

Led by an excellent nursery manager, Poppies has been a great experience for our boy. The staff have consistently shown interest in his development, been professional and caring. Communication has always been good. They have handled the COVID situation professionally and kept parents up-to-date. I have recommended Poppies to a number of friends and will continue to do so.
