The Old Station Nursery Houlton

Our son started at The Old Station nursery in January 2021 after turning three.

From the very first day, he has absolutely loved it - a very different story from his previous nursery where after two years, we still had tears on a daily basis. He now asks to go and see his friends and the ladies!

The ladies are fantastic and have really helped him settle in and develop more than we could have hoped for. He seems to have developed some lovely little friendships already.

We couldn't ask for more from a nursery and would have no doubts about recommending to others.

Our son joined in January and he settled in so well. We are really impressed with all the staff at helping him settle in and see how much he’s relaxed and growing into his new nursery. We love seeing his observations on the app.

My son has been attending The Old Station Nursery, Houlton since September. I couldn't be happier with the care he has received. The staff are lovely and care greatly for the kids in their care. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nursery in Rugby.

We have been very impressed with the nursery. Our daughter has a great bond with her care worker and staff. The communication is great (both verbally and through the app). The precautionary measures put in place during the Covid pandemic have provided a continued safe environment. We only have great things to say - we would highly recommend.

Our daughter had a wonderful time attending The Old Station Nursery - Rugby (Houlton). The staff and manager are all lovely, taking a very involved role in the children's development and we had great relationships with everyone. Our daughter developed very good craftwork, paintings, alphabets writing, singing, etc, and she is a very confident toddler and this definitely will help her to mingle with other kids. They also handled the pandemic and all related complications with excellent care and made us feel very comfortable and confident. Genuinely, an excellent nursery and my daughter going to miss them soon as she will be entering reception later this year. I would highly recommend The Old Station Nursery - Rugby (Houlton). The staff at The Old Satiation Nursery are amazing! They are so kind and caring and generally care about the well-being and happiness of our children. My daughter took a long time to settle, as I changed from being a stay at home Mum, and the staff were so loving and patient with her, now she is thriving, so confident and has learnt so much too! All learning is done through play and is made so fun that the children don’t even realise they are learning. I have already signed my youngest child up for September, I couldn’t imagine him going anywhere else.

Excellent preschool for my child, who has been attending since the very beginning. The staff are very accommodating to all her needs, and our daughter has made really good progress. Ever smiling and energetic staff even when you meet them towards the end of the day.

I would really recommend the nursery, the facilities and staff - I feel are 5*.

My daughter attends the nursery at Houlton, and my son previously attended before he started school in September 2020. The staff at the nursery are fantastic; they all genuinely care for the children and focus on nurturing and developing the children whilst having loads of fun. My daughter has grown in confidence in the past 12-months and has been given extra support with her speech development, which I’m very grateful for. Leaving my daughter in the nursery for long days, often 8 am until after 5 pm, is a lot easier knowing she’s with the wonderful staff there, and I know she’ll have a great time.

Friendly staff and amazing facilities. My daughter has been going to Houlton nursery since September 2020, and she loves being there. Staff are very friendly, and the activities they do at pre-school are amazing. Kids have access to the outdoor play area and forest school. They provide a seasonal menu with a wide variety of food to choose from. The best part about this nursery is it is separate from the school, but very much part of the school community and children benefit from the outdoor school play area as well. Would highly recommend this nursery. Thanks to all the amazing staff at Houlton nursery.

Our son has really progressed with his learning this year and loves attending to the point where he’ll ask to go during the weekend. The teachers are fantastic with him and provide the information required at the end of the day. There is an obvious bond between the children and the teachers which is comforting.

It’s our last morning session at Houlton Nursery, my daughter has loved every moment she has spent here. We are sad that it’s ending, but she has been so well prepared for school by the staff, that transition has been seamless. Even though our school is different, we will be back to school club with the manager and all of her wonderful staff in the holidays! We consider The Old Station Nursery team as family, they have loved our daughter, she has been known so well, heard, encouraged and nurtured into the kind, compassionate and confident little lady we see every day. Thank you and we will see you soon.

Both of my sons have attended the nursery, and we’ve seen it grow from day one with only a handful of children through to the thriving nursery it is today. The staff have always been amazing and supportive and (I had fantastic support with special needs). The children enjoy lots of fun activities and plenty of outside play. My sons have both loved being there; which says everything - it’s real peace of mind.

Overall, it really is a lovely small nursery and would absolutely recommend it.
