The Old Station Nursery Houlton

When my son found transitioning into nursery difficult, they went above and beyond to support with this. My son has grown in confidence over the years he's been there and is becoming school ready for September.

Couldn't speak highly enough of the quality of the staff that look after my son. His speech and general development has been complimented so well from what he receives at home and he is really coming along on all aspects. Really pleased and thank you.

Brilliant nursery. Our daughter started at 9 months old and was welcomed so well. Friendly staff, communication is fantastic, all via an intuitive app, food options brilliant. Very happy with our choice to enroll our daughter here

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, my daughter took a while to settle but staff have been so patient with her and always encouraging her to try new things, she now goes in with a smile to her key worker which is just lovely to see, regular up dates and photos on the app which is so reassuring to get. They do a variety of activities and take the time to get to know the children which is lovely.

She is very happy now and would like come to nursery nowadays. Thank you so much for making this. I would really appreciate the staff in the toddler section.

Couldn't be happier with the team at old station nursery

The level of care we have received has been great from this nursery especially when our child was in the first baby room, I felt very lucky to have our key worker. Safeguarding is good, they keep us up to date via the app, activities are fun, love that the nursery has music & movement & yoga for the children. Lots of opportunities to go outside which is important. Staff overall communicate well & really care for your children. Management are great too, make the effort of getting to know you, always available, friendly and communicate well. They do event days and lots for charity which is good. Food options are great, one of the highlights for this nursery, AMAZING they have their own chef and it's fresh food, they do a great job & hope they get recognised too. the only thing I would like to see change is the breakfast option is cereal only so would like to see a healthier breakfast. Overall a wonderful nursery, worth every penny & would highly recommend to friends and family.

My daughter is so happy to come in every day, and everyone who has looked after her has been brilliant! It's hard to believe that she started over 2 years ago in Babies 1, and has worked her way through the rooms to get to Preschool 1!

We just wanted you to know that we've so appreciated all the love, care and support my daughter has received over the last 2 years from all the lovely staff members at the nursery. Literally everyone that has helped in some way to make her day wonderful each and every time she's walked through the door has been amazing! Leaving your child for the day is such a difficult thing (especially at the very start, when they have to get used to going to nursery), but it's been made much easier knowing what good hands she's been in with you guys.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone, we're genuinely going to miss coming in 3 days a week to see everyone, when she starts school :(

My son has been at this nursery since babies and is now in pre-school. He is well cared for and has amazing relationships with all the staff. He has had some great experiences and opportunities within the nursery too. Both management and staff always check in with me as a parent too making nursery life feel so much more. The day to day care is always good and any issues are sorted straight away. My son is always happy and learning every day, we are both so grateful to be a part of such a fun, positive and thriving environment.

Can't recommend this nursery enough. My son was pretty nervous to start and took a while to settle, but they've been so patient with him, taking time to care for him when he needs a little extra support. He now walks in confidently, without looking back and his speech has come on leaps and bounds!

Our son had a great time during his 3 years with this nursery, particularly the last 2 years where he made close friends and bonded with the staff. I loved seeing all the activities he got up to and the staff threw a lovely graduation party for all the kids where it was clear how much they cared about the children. Would be happy to recommend this nursery.

Our son has been attending the nursery for almost 2 and a half years and our daughter recently started in the last couple of months. Both settled really well and are always very happy during their time at the setting. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and we receive a good handover after each session. In particular, the management has been very helpful and supportive. We would love to receive more regular updates on the app used about their day as sometimes we go periods of time without but aside from that really pleased with our experience.

I'm very fond of the nursery, my daughter and I were made to feel welcome during the adaptation process, which wasn't easy for us. We're Brazilian, and apart from the adaptation process, we need help with the language. The nursery has always been very helpful and dedicated to making everything work, my daughter loves it there and already feels calm and safe with the people in charge of the room. A particular member of staff has also played a massive part in our whole process. I can only thank them for everything!

Just a lovely, caring and safe place. My little one loves going, settled straight away and I never worry about her when she's there. The staff seem to be happy and committed and they are attentive and caring. Perfect.

This nursery is simply fantastic. The staff are amazing and the children are at the centre of everything. The children have access to a range of activities daily and the outside space is lovely. Communication from the staff is excellent and regular updates are put on the app throughout the day. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our little one started nursery aged 9 months and has been there for nearly 3 months now. They seem to absolutely love it and settled in quite quickly. They are happy to be handed over to their keyworker in the mornings, as well as all the other practitioners, normally greeting them with a smile, and their arms wide open. The app is really helpful in giving us updates throughout the day. All the practitioners and management are caring, accommodating and welcoming. There always seem to be engaging activities on offer (music and movement teacher), and I like the fact that the children learn about other cultures and festivals (Diwali). Our child also seems to be enjoying the food there (the menu looks delicious and varied eg. Thai Curry and Goulash). We are really glad we chose this nursery for our child. Thank you for everything to date.

Our child has been at The Old Station Nursery for 1.5 years now and absolutely loves it. All of the staff are great, caring and take feedback really well. Especially the manager who is always looking for ways to improve the nursery, and also loves to hear the thoughts of parents and staff, and does things really quickly which is so nice to see. Special mention to one member of staff in particular who our little one has struck up a real bond with despite having moved to the next age class. The variety of activities is good and staff are keen to give regular updates and share what the little one has been up to. Food menu is good and varied. Definitely recommend this nursery to anyone interested.
