North Street Nursery was started with the aim of creating a unique, community based childcare experience for local families.

My daughter has always been very happy at North Street Nursery. She has made many friends and is always telling me what she has learned that day. The staff have always been so kind, engaging and helpful.
Both my children have been very happy in North Street Nursery. My older daughter has developed a great relationship with her key worker. I think the staff really cares for the children and they always try to come up with all sorts of games and ideas.
My son is always very happy to go to nursery. He has formed good relationships with staff and the other children. The staff are friendly and approachable. I would recommend North Street nursery.
North Street nursery has been great for our son. The staff are always friendly, the nursery itself is a bright and vibrant space with lots to do and the care and transparency of the nursery are brilliant. We are really happy to send our child there.
Our twins have been very happy since they started at North Street nursery. The staff are great and the kids have really bonded with their key workers. There are always loads of activities going on to keep them interested which has really helped with their development.
We are kept up to date regularly with our son’s progress and development and he is always singing songs or the alphabet that he’s learnt. They have a nice variety of meals which are sourced locally. Our youngest child will be starting there next year and I’m sure he will enjoy it as much as his brother!
The standard of food is very high and the recent trip to the zoo was a great success.
North Street Nursery is a lovely community nursery. Our daughter absolutely loves it there and has really come out of her shell since she started attending. The staff are friendly, accessible and responsive and it’s obvious that they care deeply for our daughter.
Our son settled very quickly with plenty to keep him entertained and challenged all day.
We would have no hesitation in recommending North Street as a welcoming and nurturing environment.
My daughter comes home reciting new songs, repeating stories and producing artwork she has made. With the nursery, she has been on exciting trips to different parks, library, farm, shop and has been on the bus. The nursery now has a lovely roof garden space with mud kitchen, bikes to go on and so forth. The nursery inside has a lot of resources accessible to the kids, is bright and very clean and has a lovely quiet area.
Their indoor space for toddlers is large and open, with space to run around and play, or snuggle in a quiet corner.
The preschool room is excellent and they learn loads of things including self-care, kitchen skills, crafting, etc.
They make good use of their outdoor space, the kids do gardening with planters, enjoy the mud kitchen, ride-on toys, balance and play with all the toys and equipment.
They also do trips out to give varied outdoor stimulation.
We're regularly updated on their app about meals, activities and photos, which helps us to feel involved in their day.
Our 18 month old has been at North Street since the day they opened and is extremely happy there. They're warm, welcoming and obviously really care about the children. Communication is great (using an app which updates you on everything like naps, nappies and food as it's happening) and it's a really lovely environment. They've been keen to hear from parents since starting out and very responsive to feedback. Highly recommended!
This nursery is a friendly supportive childcare provider. It has an emphasis on bringing the community together. It focuses on individual children and staff know the children's strengths and interests. The lack of free flow outside space doesn't concern us as there is timetabled garden time and trips to local parks.
It has a lovely atmosphere where you feel everyone - be it my son’s key worker, staff in his room or another room, or in-house management - genuinely care and always have time for you.
There are a range of activities to engage the children with the environment around them such trips to the zoo, the local park, the Harbourside and to Windmill Hill City Farm. What’s also lovely are the regular updates with pictures and comments so I am able to see what my son has been doing and feel involved with his day.
My son is making great progress with his communication and his development is nurtured by a range of activities that incorporate both learning and fun.
It is a lovely nursery that I would happily recommend.
