My son has attended Lydstep for almost three years and I've been really happy with his time there throughout, both in terms of how the staff has encouraged his development, as well as his having enjoyed it and made friends. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone with a young child seeking nursery
provision.

We have been using this nursery for our daughter since it opened back when she was one years old. We have had a outstanding experience in all 3 rooms. All the staff are so welcoming, friendly and always so good in their communication and ready to help with anything, and ready to answer any questions.
We actually considered a nursery that is closer to us, but turned it down due to how accommodating and lovely this nursery is. Very sad for her to start school and have to leave this place. Highly recommend.

We, as parents are really satisfied with Lydstep Nursery. Our daughter attends here, started last year as a baby and now in the toddler room and she 99% of the times gets excited in the morning when we get ready and goes through the door with a big smile. All the staff throughout the rooms are very
friendly and caring and we couldn't be more grateful for them to help our daughter thrive and keep her excited about nursery with all the fun activities.

The staff at the nursery are wonderful, committed and attentive to the needs of the little ones. We enjoy the regular updates from our child's key worker about our their development. The nursery is well equipped with indoor and outdoor spaces, and our little one thoroughly enjoys it. It has been great
to see our child's development since they've started nursery.

My daughter's been at the nursery now since she turned 2 years and 4 months - currently 4 years and 2 months - she has loved every second of being at Quays Nursery. Her development has come along in leaps and bounds and her curious nature has grown even bigger. She adores the staff members who make
each day just as exciting as the last for her. Alongside that the staff have been amazing with communication, support and reassurance as a parent. The overall experience has been fantastic.

Our son Edward has been with Quays Park Nursery since he was 8 months old, and we've watched him absolutely flourish! Now 3 and thriving in preschool, he truly loves learning thanks to the team's incredible creativity and engaging approach.
We particularly value the varied trips, the freedom to play
in the garden twice daily, and the many opportunities for him to interact and build friendships. The nurturing environment has made a huge difference in his development and happiness.
We wholeheartedly recommend nursery - a wonderful start to any child's educational journey

The staff are lovely, and we are always greeted with a warm welcome. Both our children have built positive relationships with the staff, and smile when we mention them outside the nursery setting. They have a great indoor and outdoor space. The nursery staff have been very supportive. We also like the
extra events that they hold for families to attend.

Highly recommend this nursery. They are really flexible for how and when you use the government funded hours. All the staff are wonderful. My son struggled a bit with the transition to nursery aged 20 months and they were fantastic at helping him settle in and now he loves it. Lovely space and great
activities. I can't believe it's not oversubscribed, it won't stay this way for long.

Quays Park has been a fantastic setting for our daughter for the past two years. She enjoys the relationships with the adults and other children and takes part in engaging activities indoors and outdoors. Our child has gone from nervously entering nursery in the first few weeks to running in without
giving us a second glance. We've always had confidence in the staff and they keep us well informed of her development.

Very good review overall. The staff is making a strong difference and they always manage to have sufficient staff at any given day despite all the staff challenges they're facing. For example, they have recently employed quite a few people. Staff is also really caring, helping babies develop their ability
and learning. and babies are very happy. They also show good flexibility. Also they're extending the nursery spaces. Food seems to be OK, but they're also trying to improve it.
The only real thing where they could improve is the absence of natural daylight in the babies room. But they go out from time to time and tons of activities

My child started in April and I couldn't be more happy with the nursery and staff, who are approachable, accommodating and super responsive.

My child loves going in which makes me happy too. I like that they do Stay and Play sessions for the care givers throughout the year and they are great at

updating the app so you can see what they've been up to.

My son has settled very well into North Street Nursery, and I've found the process very seamless thanks to the staff. I love that they do outings everyday to the park (weather permitting), and I enjoy seeing the photos of my child out and about. There's good communication from management and I've found
the app extremely useful as one point of contact/information.

My older child has recently finished at North Street and moved onto school. He had a wonderful time there and most days in pre-school it was difficult to persuade him to come home! The pre-school did an amazing job of preparing him for school and he has been confident at school from day 1. My youngest
is now in the baby room and is thriving there. The staff always give detailed handover information and it's lovely to see the observations of what they've been up to during the day along with information about their development.

Lydstep Nursery

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
I would not recommend Lydstep nursery despite my daughter attending for nearly 2 years. Staff turnover was extremely high, with heavy reliance on agency staff. Although a cap on agency numbers was eventually introduced, this still took a real toll on existing staff and seemed to drive many to leave.
New staff were rarely introduced, so parents often arrived to a room of unfamiliar faces. Communication was consistently poor, especially when our baby's place-secured over a year in advance-was cancelled with only 2 months' notice due to staff shortages, forcing us to find new places for both children which with local wait lists being well over a year was a nightmare. Outdoor space was poor, we were told that regular almost daily visits to the park would happen but in reality were very rare. While the majority of the staff working with the children were kind and caring, management and admin was disorganised, the toddler room often felt chaotic, and overall the nursery was very poorly run.

My son started at Quays Park Nursery in May and I have been very impressed so far. The rooms are lovely and bright, with lots of space and the staff are friendly, caring and approachable. I have been so happy with how my son has settled in.
The drop off and pick up process works well and my son has
always been ready to go home, clean and tidy, at the time we said we'd collect him. The app is really useful in knowing how he's eaten, slept and what he's been up to.
From an admin perspective, the sign up process was stress free and any queries I have had are answered promptly.
I would highly recommend.

My son has been going to Lydstep since he was 9 months old (now 2.5) and has generally been very happy. Credit where credit is due and most of the staff at the nursery are lovely and you get a sense they are very involved with the children.
However, I feel in recent months, things have gone downhill.
They seem to be having staffing issues & repeatedly ask parents to keep children home. If there's not enough volunteers, some children may be refused. The prices have been raised multiple times (prices displayed on this website are not correct) & often at short notice. Nursery closes twice a year, for staff training & these days are still paid for. Communication is slow and whilst they provide you with regular updates on development, important things such as your child suddenly no longer napping, or anything re potty training are often not mentioned.
My son really loves going there but for the eye-watering prices and constant cost increases, I would have expected a better service.

My daughter has attended Quays Park for a few months and I have been very impressed with how consistent the nursery has been. The staff are very nurturing and supportive. The setting itself is laid out beautifully, always clean and plenty of activities. The garden aspect is brilliant. The team in the
