Dockside Day Nursery and Pre-school

My little girl has been at Dockside Day Nursery since September 2022. She thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the nursery. The teachers and management are so helpful and welcoming and really do go the extra mile whenever they can. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for childcare!

Both of my boys have been at Dockside since January 2024. The nursery's facilities and staff are excellent and both of my boys have thrived there! One of the things that impressed me most was that they have a rising fives class within pre-school that specifically focuses on school readiness which has been so beneficial for my older son and I've seen how many new skills he's learnt as a result. Would definitely recommend Dockside to any and all parents.

My son has been attending since he was 8 months old (Aug 2020) so will have done a full 4 years by the time he leaves in Aug 2024. He has loved it. We have had no issues and he looks forward to going every day. He has learnt so much from being there and has the best days. It's a safe environment and the staff are invested in the children. It's always clean and engaging. The unique location of the nursery adds to its charm. I recommend it to everyone who asks about it. I will be sad to see my son leave but thanks to the staff there he is ready for the next step.

I would recommend this nursery to anyone it is amazing and my daughter had an amazing time. She started at 2 1/2 and finished just after she turned 4 I can not fault the staff at all. The nursery is clean the staff are friendly and polite. If you want a nursery then this is definitely one I would recommend!

My daughter has been in the nursery for about 10 months and I must say the staff are really nice and helpful. At first it was a struggle for my daughter to go into nursery but thanks to the great staff who helped her settle in very well. I highly recommend dockside day nursery

My son started going to this nursery 8 months ago. The staff is amazing, caring, supportive and hardworking to make sure every kid is happy and able to learn something new every time at the nursery. I am glad I chose this nursery because it was recommended by my friend. I really recommend this nursery because no one will regret it. I noticed a big improvement in my son's behaviour and communication, especially because he is bilingual. Every single person who works in this nursery is brilliant!

My daughter started at Dockside Day Nursery and Pre-school at 2 years old in the nursery room and has recently left to start school. I viewed a few different nurseries before making my choice of which nursery to send my daughter and I 100% made the correct decision in choosing this nursery, they have always gone above and beyond to ensure my daughter was happy and enjoyed her nursery experience. All the staff that looked after my daughter were absolutely amazing, you could really tell they loved their job, they had so much time and patience with the children, they always made sure they had fun activities planned daily and my daughter left and started school being able to recognise and write her own name and be independent. It really is an amazing setting and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery! My daughter still frequently asks if she can go back for the day as she misses her teachers!

The staff are amazing, they are very caring, attentive and professional. They have a great approach to engaging the children in various activities, such as arts and crafts, music, outdoor play and storytelling. They also teach them important skills, such as literacy, numeracy and social and emotional development. My daughter loves going there every day, she has made many friends and she has learned so much. I can see the positive impact of the nursery on her growth and happiness. I’m very grateful to the Dockside Day Nursery for their work and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality childcare service in the area. They are simply the best!

Absolutely outstanding nursery. Could not recommend more. The staff are incredible and so supportive of both parents and the children. My son has been with them since he was about 16 months old and he has thrived. The staff all have excellent bonds with the children and always have the child’s best interests at heart. I have always felt comfortable leaving my child at the nursery and never have any concerns for his welfare or wellbeing. Hands down the best nursery I could have put my son in.

Dockside has been absolutely fantastic for my son. He is adopted and had struggled in two previous settings where they had not been able to see past his sometimes difficult behaviour. At Dockside, he has been transformed as the staff have made a real effort to get to know and understand him, and their care and affection helped him relax and enjoy his time at nursery in a way he hadn’t been able to before. I cannot speak highly enough of the dedicated staff who have worked with our son, helping him with his speech, language and numbers. He starts school next month, and without the support and encouragement he has received at Dockside, I think he would have found the transition very difficult, but he is very excited about his new school, partly because he now believes that he can trust the teachers to help him as the adults have at Dockside. We are so grateful that we found Dockside when we did, and would wholeheartedly recommend them.

In preschool and rising fives, the staff have created a nurturing environment and my son has certainly developed! Thank you, we really appreciate all of your hard-work.

Incredible staff each and every one of them. We have had a difficult road with our son and they have been nothing short of remarkable in supporting our son and us as parents! The special educational needs coordinator team are angels, they go above and beyond always for us. Great food choices, toys, activities, being inclusive! Clean to a very high standard. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The thought of our son ever leaving here actually breaks our hearts. Thank you for everything.

We had reservations about starting her full-time immediately but the nursery was very supportive and quickly put in place a plan and referrals. Within three months, life had changed. I cannot praise the staff enough. Before we knew it she had developed into a confident young girl. She couldn’t stop talking to share all her learning. They potty trained her fully within two months of her starting, which is something we could not have done alone. In fact, they did it all. We cannot stop but sing praise alone. She loves going to nursery every day of the week and even wants to go to nursery during the weekend. They have been consistent with all areas of learning. The staff are friendly and professional. Our daughter loves them so much. She has learnt to eat a variety of foods. Dockside Nursery has been a great foundation for our daughter’s future. 100% recommended

I have nothing but lovely words to say about Dockside Day Nursery. My daughter started there in July 2021. She was only one and was quite anxious and quiet. But week after week, I have seen her grow in confidence and really enjoy her time there, which is testament to the amazing staff. Every single staff member has taken the time to get to know my daughter and introduce themselves to me as my daughter has moved up into different rooms. There is a real sense of support and catering for each child's individual needs - nothing ever seems too much to ask. I also love how diverse and inclusive the nursery is, which was something I felt really shone when I was choosing where to send my daughter. Dockside's communication is also second to none. Even on a daily basis, the detail given about what my daughter has been up to that day is excellent - I couldn't ask for more and love what a caring, supportive and safe environment the nursery and staff provide.

My daughter is under the SEN category and I couldn't praise them enough for all the hard work they have put in with my daughter. Her key workers have always strived to help her to the best of her ability. They have always supported us throughout in terms of our wishes and helping through the EHCP process. I would definitely recommend Dockside as a nursery!

Dockside Nursery is a fantastic nursery. If I could give 1000 stars for the staff and management I would. The team are very efficient and all round great. They do a lot to make the children feel comfortable and settled, keep parents informed and build the children's knowledge. My child loved it there so much that on the first day of settles they wanted to stay and refused to come back to me! I also love how diverse they are. As a first-time mum they made the process of selecting childcare and returning to work seamless. They are so patient and worked with me to agree the best possible outcome. I have seen significant growth in my child's development and independence. As an added bonus their location is pretty accessible and parking isn't a hassle. I would 10/10 recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 17 months now and she loves it. The staff are amazing and genuinely love and care for the children. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My daughter is thriving and loves going to nursery.

My twins have been attending Dockside nursery since September 2022, after a very nervous start due to our children being particularly anxious with separation, the team at Dockside have really gone above and beyond to make sure they are happy to go to nursery. I have seen huge strides in both my son and daughter, becoming more confident in themselves as well as progressing academically and emotionally. The team members always provide thorough updates at the end of the day with my children always leaving happy. The office staff are also amazing and always happy to help or provide advice where needed. I couldn't recommend this nursery more and believe they can help any child settle happily as well as excel in their growth.

We are very happy to have chosen this nursery for our son. All staff are exceptionally caring and committed to the well-being of the children. The activities and environment are varied, interesting and engaging and the nursery consistently keeps parents well-informed about events and the child's progress - both verbally and through the app. My son has made a lot of progress in terms of his confidence, speaking and understanding as well as his social interactions and -most importantly - loves going to nursery.
