The Old Station Nursery Droitwich

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough! They have always been so accommodating and so kind and nurturing with my daughter. There was a medical emergency with my little girl and they were incredible! They went above and beyond and then some - when I fell apart. My daughter always comes out happy and always looks forward to going. The handovers are always thorough and informative and the app used to keep in contact during the day always provides us with some much-loved photos of her day. We will be forever grateful to My First Friends Droitwich for everything they have ever done for us as a family and our little girl too.

Since attending from the age of 2, our son’s confidence and social skills have come leaps and bounds. He is kept entertained and stimulated each day with multiple activities. He is provided with a tasty balanced menu and never seems hungry when he comes home. The staff provide a snapshot view of the day at pickup as well as a note and photos on a parent app. We rest assured every day we drop him off that he is in safe and capable hands. We couldn’t be happier with his care at My First Friends.

Just fantastic. Supportive, lovely and nurturing staff that really build lovely relationships with the little ones. It has a fantastic indoor and outdoor environment, with lots of experiences and activities to explore. Lovely, wide range of food provided and real fruit and veg provided for play also. The app keeps you up to date with your little one throughout the day, with photos and comments. I really could not ask for a better place for my son to spend his time exploring and learning. Thank you all, you're amazing!

My son started nursery at the very end of May, when he was just shy of 11 months old. He absolutely loves going to nursery and seeing his key person! He gets excited to see different members of staff when they come to collect him in the morning. This makes leaving for work guilt-free! On the off chance he isn't happy to be leaving me, a couple of photos of him settled are uploaded to the app within 30 minutes or so. He has developed so much over the past month and we 100% put it down to all the wonderful activities he gets to take part in. He has had so many incredible experiences such as stroking and playing with ducklings; riding into the town in a baby bus and napping in the woodland. I could not be happier with our experience so far, I recommend this to any parent looking for a nursery. Thank you for caring for him so well!

I cannot fault this nursery, My First Friends Droitwich is like a little family in its own.

The staff are amazing at My First Friends and we are always greeted with lots of warm welcomes. They really persevered helping our baby settle in when he first started as he struggled to adjust - 6 months on he has such the best time there! Lots of variety in activities and the outdoor garden space is just fantastic. Would absolutely highly recommend this nursery.

My son absolutely loves nursery he gets excited every day when we drop him off. He has gained and learned so much in his time there already, we cannot thank the staff enough. Would recommend it to any parent looking for a nursery.

As parents, we highly recommend this nursery setting to anyone looking to take this step for their children to start at a great nursery.

Unfortunately, the running of the business is what lets the nursery down. Still being charged £17.20 per day in addition to wrap-around costs (with the full 30 free hours being claimed) is the worst part. How the nursery justifies this I don’t know. Having to still pay the £17.20 (which covers suncream, nappies, food etc) when the nursery isn’t even open (bank holidays) I find absolutely barmy. I understand why people chose other nurseries (who charge around £20 for the whole month for food and other additional costs). This is a shame because the actual nursery is excellent and the kids love it.

We love seeing all the activities that she gets involved in and she comes home so happy every day. Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking.

Fantastic nursery, who not only look after our daughter but us as a family! Great care provided from day 1. Caring, loving staff who go above and beyond to help and support! Great environment and learning ethos. We just love the place in all honesty.

My First Friends is good, it used to be excellent but unfortunately, since being taken over and the manager going on leave, there has clearly been a drop in standards. The new app is not very good, it is a shame that we only now get one update a week on how our child is doing, previously it was daily. Often some updates e.g. naps/meals/nappy changes are not uploaded and we have to ask about these when we pick our daughter up. The daily updates were something that was sold to us when we chose the nursery so for them to change a few months later was quite disappointing. Having said all the above, our child is thriving, her speech is coming along nicely. She always seems happy when we pick her up. All the staff seem friendly and they seem to genuinely care about our child.

My First Friends Droitwich is simply amazing. My little boy (now 12 months old) has been attending since June 2022, and already, he has a fantastic bond with the members of staff that work most closely with him. From the moment I went to look around, I felt welcomed and I got the instant feeling that my son would be safe and well looked after, as though he was one of their own children. It was also exceptionally clean! I love the app that is used to keep me updated throughout the day, and it's so heartwarming to see all the lovely activities that the nursery do with the children including outdoor play and water play in the hot weather! I literally cannot fault any part of this nursery and sincerely thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for my little man.

Overall a pleasant setting, the manager seems to truly care and wants to give the children good opportunities to progress. Some of the staff let the team down when interacting with parents, however, there are some staff who are just fantastic. Our key workers have been so good with our child and even how they interact with us as parents. The garden is so spacious for the children!

Our daughter started preschool in September and thoroughly enjoys going each day. The care the staff provide for the children is exceptional. Our daughter has additional needs and all staff have been very supportive and understanding of her differences. Nothing has ever been too much for them. We couldn’t be happier with the setting.

My daughter has been attending My First Friends Droitwich since she was 11 months old, she has built strong relationships with staff members and children alike. She always enjoys going and I have always felt that she was being well looked after and engaged in the daily activities - the outdoor space is amazing. The only aspect I feel could be improved is the communication of how my daughter has been progressing in terms of the EYFS stages. This used to be relayed well through the app and on reports up until 12 months ago when it was advised that the Government no longer required nurseries to provide such reports to parents, however I found them valuable in terms of seeing how my daughter was progressing and now only get a basic summary of her progress at parents evenings. My daughter will be leaving for school this September, her self confidence and social skills have really improved by attending My First Friends and I know she will really miss coming.

My son has been at the nursery for 2-years now, and I can not fault it. They are amazing with him and now with his little brother. They always do lovely activities all day when they are there and the food provided is better than anything I could do at home! They have been introduced to new flavours every week and they both eat really well when they are there. The girls who have looked after both of them have been amazing throughout the whole time they’ve both been there and if it wasn’t for the nursery I wouldn’t have been able to go back to university when I had my son and back to work when I had my other son. There is no other place I would trust with both my children and I’m so happy I found this nursery when I did!

My daughter has been here for a month now. She's settled in very quickly with the friendly staff. Loves the garden time and crafts. Great room with plenty of space for creative play. Love the app being able to see a picture of my daughter having fun and being able to check if she's had a nap/eaten while I'm working makes it a lot easier.
