The Old Station Nursery Bampton is a warm and welcoming setting, located near the grounds of Bampton Primary School. As the nursery inhabits a smaller sized building, personalised care and attention is ensured for each individual child from their Key Carer. It also allows a close-knit environment to be achieved throughout the setting.
The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.
Within the setting, there are three rooms, each designed with age-appropriate resources and facilities. The youngest children start in one of the two baby rooms, where they can develop and explore with a variety of soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments, and toys to help their learning and play. As children grow and develop, they then move on to the 2-4’s room, where they are presented with the opportunity to learn through play. In this room, there is plenty of preparation for school readiness, where children are provided with the knowledge and skills they need for a smooth transition to school.
Throughout the year, the children make the most of the large outdoor play area, which includes an undercover all-weather play space. The nursery actively encourages outdoor play, rain or shine, and regularly take the children on walks around the local area.
The nursery’s convenient location near school premises benefits both families and the children, making their transition to school a seamless process from the very start.

The care my son receives at The Old Station Nursery is absolutely fantastic. All the staff are lovely and always provide great activities. The facilities are great, and not too big to be overwhelming. My son always has a really good variety of healthy food as well!

We are incredibly impressed with the professionalism and care our son receives at The Old Station Nursery, Bampton. The team are wonderful; they plan and deliver interesting and engaging activities, which are not only incredibly fun but educational. Our son loves going to the nursery; he looks forward to seeing his friends and talks happily about his day. The team keep us fully informed, and we love receiving his observation weekly. Fantastic nursery for my son he really enjoys himself there. It has great facilities, a secure garden and outside play area and friendly caring staff that have been wonderful and very accommodating of my son's needs. I would definitely recommend to others for their children.

The Bampton nursery is excellent and highly recommended. The staff and management are all extremely friendly and helpful. Our litle girl has developed so much since being there and clearly loves attending. The nursery are always flexible and helpful too.

It is an amazing nursery, the staff are all lovely and my daughter is very happy being in their care. They serve lots of yummy meals and always seem to be having lots of activities going on for the kids. My daughter loves to go and has made lots of friends. Would highly recommend to other families.

My children have settled in very well at The Old Station Nursery and my son especially becomes very excited when he realises it's a nursery day! They have been attending since the nursery first opened and are very fond of the staff that work there (as are my husband and me).
They frequently bring home arts and crafts that they have made during the day and these are lovely to see. My children love to be outdoors and they have access to the garden every session. I think it is safe to say that my husband, myself and our children would definitely recommend The Old Station Nursery!

We are new to the nursery but know from experience of another nursery within the group, that they are truly fantastic! So far we have been welcomed into the lovely facilities at Bampton. No request has gone ignored, and nothing is too much trouble. Very reassuring to a working mum.

Having been let down by our previous nursery (graded inadequate by Ofsted), The Old Station Nursery and staff were really approachable in finding our child a nursery place. They are extremely welcoming and although it was an upsetting time for our daughter starting somewhere new, they were great in helping her settle and now she doesn’t even give us a backwards glance when we leave. They do a variety of activities to engage the children and there is always a smile on our daughters face when picking her up.

Children from birth to five thrive in this small and friendly nursery and then move seamlessly into school - either on-site or to other local primary schools. Our 2-5 year olds are based in the same room, which leads to great sibling groups and cross-fertilisation of ideas!
