The Old Station Nursery Bampton

Our second child has just started at The Old Station Nursery Bampton and already loves it. The staff are kind-natured and great at communicating how your child is settling in. Our oldest child loves going to nursery and loves his friends and key worker.

*My only negative would be the cost of food when my child attends an afternoon session. It seems the daily price of food is halved but when attending an afternoon session they will only be there to eat afternoon tea whereas if they were attended the morning session, they would have breakfast, morning snack and lunch all for the same price.

First class experience and learning for my two boys. The staff are always friendly, the food healthy and homemade and the activities and play the boys get up to far exceeds our initial expectations. It’s a joy to see them enjoying it so much.

Lovely nursery with really lovely staff and a nice garden area, which my son loves. He always enjoys his mornings at nursery and comes home happy and full from lunch. We love getting updates and pictures on the app and get a nice handover from his key worker, who is always happy to help and accommodate any requests we have. The manager has always been really accommodating and when my son had a milk allergy. They were really good at managing this and were happy to help him transition to cow's milk when the time was right.

We have used Bampton Nursery for both of our children and have been extremely happy with the service as parents. The development of our their social awareness and general skills is testimony to the care and attention of the childcare staff.

My child has revived an extreme level of growth within the nursery, her development has got a lot better with help and support from her key worker and staff within the nursery. The staff and management have been amazing.

Great nursery. I viewed this nursery when I was pregnant with our little boy and had such a good feeling about it. I am so pleased we made the decision to send him here. The staff are really friendly and helpful. As a cloth bum mum, they are also very willing to use his cloth nappies which, I’ve heard from other mums, not all nurseries are willing to do. They do lots of fun activities with the children and the staff always give you a good update when you pick your child up at the end of each day. Highly recommended.

They offer fantastic care for pre-school children. Our son loves attending and we can’t wait for his sister to start next year. The staff go above and beyond every day to make our son happy. They take the time to regularly update us on his progress. They offer a good range of food and activities to ensure our son tries new things and enjoys his time at nursery.

Great nursery, the staff are really lovely and have created an amazing bond with my son! He loves going in and is really encouraged to be himself. The food always sounds delicious and they even have fish and hamsters! My son loves it here.

I left four stars because of the outside space, not the facilities. Nothing wrong with the facilities. But I appreciate you can only work with what you have and I feel you do very well. My little lady is usually quite upset to be left at the nursery in the mornings but the staff always do their best to reassure her and get her quickly settled down and involved. She adores the staff more than she does the other children and often talks about them at home. The food is always varied as are the activities and for that, I cannot fault this nursery. I feel the staff dealt very well throughout the pandemic and continue to do so. They always keep us informed of anything happening via email. Even with the change of staff at times, I feel like everything still runs smoothly from the outside. Keep up the good work!

Professional and friendly staff, our little one loves their time at nursery. So glad to have found this nursery. Our little one has developed fast since starting here and has grown in confidence.

I would recommend this nursery to anyone, my daughter is always so happy going in and coming out. All the staff are lovely and welcoming and the daily updates I receive are great. I have definitely seen a big change in my daughter since going there and it’s amazing to see!

The staff in the preschool room have been amazing with helping my daughter to progress and improve with her writing as well as her behaviour. They have been brilliant at understanding her current health problems and always happy to help where needed. My daughter is always coming home talking about her day and the fun she has and she has a great bond with all members of staff and is always excited to go to nursery. Couldn’t think of a better nursery.

After a bad experience with a childminder, which left both our toddlers (1 and 3 at the time) unhappy at being away from us, we were apprehensive about sending them to Nursery. However, the facilities and especially the staff at OSN Bampton have made them happier than we've ever seen them. They pretty much run to the car in the mornings to get there! The variety of games and activities sends them home happy and tired. Whilst the meal provision far exceeded our expectations giving them a good balanced diet and encourages them to try new foods. There is constant feedback and updates on activities and their development either via a secure app or by direct contact.

My daughter has been attending Old Station Nursery Bampton for a year now in the Pre-School room. She loves going, has made friends, learnt a great deal and speaks incredibly highly of the nursery manager, who I might add is brilliant with my little one as she can be difficult at times and has a rather strong personality. They have helped her to grow enormously over the last year, emotionally and academically. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery!

I love the nursery. My son goes in happy and comes out happy and that's the most important thing for me. I have total trust in and respect for the staff looking after him and he adores them. In terms of activities, I feel I don't know enough about them - music and movement session is great, but more feedback on a couple of activities completed at the end of the day would be great. (Appreciate this is tricky if there is a long queue). With regard to cleanliness and equipment, I've never been inside the nursery, so can't comment, but I believe it must be an acceptable standard and that the team would initiate action if these weren't up to scratch.

This was my boy's first nursery and I was worried he would not settle but the staff made him feel very comfortable. He was well taken care of and was always excited to go to nursery! It was nice to be able to see photos of what he was up to and have a little resume of his day. Highly recommend!

The staff are fantastic and my children have never been happier. They run in every morning and don't look back. The lunches provided by the nursery are diverse and delicious. The kids eat better than we do! There's not a bad word to be said about this nursery. They love the kids and love their job.

Very helpful, sensitive staff who always have the best interests of the children in mind. Both my boys love going to nursery and enjoy being with their careers. Lots of interesting things to do and plenty to eat.

They are also very responsive when needed.
