My daughter has been going to Jesters Montessori Inspired Nursery School Danbury for a few weeks now and comes home telling me and her dad how much she has enjoyed it. She tells me how she gets there in the minibus and that she loves sitting in there and looking at where they are going. She talks about it all the time and she loved having her tea there as well.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are sol pleased your daughter is loving our Danbury setting too. We love having you all as part of the Jesters family.
The school readiness sessions have been really helpful in getting her prepared for school. She enjoys her Wednesday's out in a new setting along with her friends. I think the change in environment is good and will support and ease the transition to the reception.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased your daughter is enjoying the school readiness session.
We have had over four years of experience with Jesters Montessori Inspired Nursery School Danbury and have returned this school year with our third child. I have always found the Jesters wider team to be so friendly and approachable with any questions. The team at their Danbury site are superb. Always professional, caring and open to any feedback. Parents are constantly updated daily with your child's progress. They run lots of different tasks from painting, baking, and gardening and more recently have introduced a school readiness programme which I am sure will help my child in his transition to school in September. I have only praise and my happy child at the end of the day is thanks to the lovely ladies there. Thank you to the staff at Danbury for making this stage a memorable and lovely experience.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. We have loved watching all 3 of your boys flourish and develop over the years. It has been a pleasure to have you all as part of the Jesters family.
The staff are all very good and can't help enough.
Many thanks.
Thank you for your kind words. We love having you all as part of the Jesters family.
My child enjoys it very much in the setting and is able to keep stimulated through learning all day. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the environment is clean and inviting. I like that they encourage the children to be independent and involve them in preparing meals.
Thank you for your review. We really enjoy having your child at Jesters and are glad he enjoys our Montessori-inspired setting.
My daughter has been attending the pre-school for nearly a year now. She loves her time there, I’m really pleased with how happy she is and the progress she has made. The environment is welcoming, exciting and well looked after. The children take part if n a number of activities inside and outdoors. The staff are very friendly, competent and try to bring out the best in each child, depending on their interests and needs. I would highly recommend Jesters.
My son has been going to Jester pre and post-school clubs since he started at junior school nearby. The staff are always kind, helpful and give good feedback on how your child has been that day. My son really likes the staff here and they really do go out of their way to make sure that your child is safe and has fun.
Excellent nursery. Great staff, honest, reliable and helpful. My son thrived at this nursery. Place is clean and secure. Would highly recommend it.
I had both of my children attend Jesters Pre-School and they both loved it there and enjoyed every day. The staff are amazing with the children and it was sad to be leaving for my daughter to go up to primary school but, she was more than ready, all thanks to the staff preparing her for the change and her new adventure. So a huge thank you to all the staff.
My son thrived at The Jesters Pre-school setting in Danbury. He loved everything about it from the lovely friends he made to the themed crafts, planting vegetables and learning to swing in the outdoor area. I was always particularly impressed with the detailed handover which included all he had been doing each day, including trips to the park and library.
Happy to recommend this setting. My twins had a lovely time here and made some lovely friends with whom they continued their friendship at big school.
My daughter attended the pre-school after attending another nursery. She settled in immediately and was made to feel very welcome. The team are all very friendly and my daughter looked forward to going every day. She enjoyed all aspects of the play, including playing in the garden and going to the park and library. I highly recommend this friendly, caring pre-school. My daughter loved it and it really helped her prepare for when she started school in September.
I can tell from how happy she is when she goes and when she comes back for the setting. I love how they record the activities on the online journal so I can check on her.
My 2-year-old daughter settled very quickly into the nursery, thanks to the caring and good-natured staff. It is a lovely environment for the children to socialise and learn. My daughter particularly likes the outdoor area. Jesters is extremely accommodating and flexible and I think, great value for money. The staff are all friendly and very helpful.
Since my daughter has been at the nursery, her confidence has soared. She looks forward to going every week and constantly talks about her friends and the staff.
The pre-school works hard to prepare the children for when they start school and I’m confident my child will find the change as easy as possible because of her time at Jesters.
The staff are very approachable and offer advice and support where needed.
The preschool host a recent new school starters information evening which was thoroughly informative. My youngest boy will definitely be going when he is old enough.
Thank you Jesters.
It’s a lovely pre-school, the teacher/carers are calm, patient, approachable and keep you updated with daily activities and information.
Moving my daughter to Jesters for her last year of pre-school has been a fantastic decision! She settled really quickly, enjoys every day she is there and benefits from the small setting. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the weekly updates really help keep us all on track! It’s great seeing what they’re up to from Tapestry too! I can’t wait for my son to start there!
Best decision I made for my twin boys was to move them to Jesters. After three unsettled terms at their previous preschool they settled almost immediately at Jesters and are thriving!
My son started here a few months ago and has loved every second. The small size lends itself to much better mixing within the ages and my son has come on leaps and bounds not only academically but also with his speech and social skills. I really cannot fault the nursery and the staff are an absolute credit and all are adored by my son!!

Meet the Team (4)
Hello, I am Phoebe, Danbury Deputy Nursery School Operations Manager and our co-located site Bicknacre Nursery Manager – shared role with Becky. I have been working in the childcare sector since 2016, gaining my Level 3 qualification in 2018. I have also completed my Level 4 in Nursery Management in 2020. I started my journey with Jesters as a Nursery Practitioner in 2018, helping to open our sister site in Beaulieu.
Working in managerial roles across both sites is such an incredible experience. I love that the children’s personalities are really starting to show, especially the cheeky side! Most of my professional career has been at Jesters, and I love their values and ethos throughout the settings.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and my little boy, Dougie. We love to go for walks to the park and explore the wonderful places around us.
Growing up, my favourite book was The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. It reminds me of the time I would read it at my Grandma’s house and we talk about which ‘lands’ we wanted to go to. Mine would always be ‘The Land of Dreams!’
Hello, my name is Kylie, and I am the Deputy Nursery School & Curriculum Manager at Danbury. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and have worked in education for over 10 years. I have always known that I wanted to go into teaching, as I am passionate about learning and ensuring that education is accessible to all children.
I was born and raised in South Africa and immigrated with my family in 2021. I worked in a Primary School in South Africa and assisted many nurseries there to enable children to be school-ready. Upon immigrating, I worked in an Infant School as an assistant so as to expand my SEND and curriculum knowledge.
I joined Jesters in December 2024 and have been warmly welcomed by all the various team members and children! My role is to work within the School Readiness Programme to enable the children in my care to be as socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually ready for formal schooling.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors with my husband and little boy! We love to explore the forests around us and splash in every muddy puddle in sight!
My favourite book is The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. It is a story of a little girl whose art teacher helps her to develop a ‘can-do’ attitude. Vashti is sure that she can’t draw, but when her teacher puts Vashti’s simple dot picture on display, Vashti begins to think of what else she might be able to draw, too, if she is only willing to give it a try.
I love this book as it embodies a growth mindset and shows that a simple belief from a teacher can spark a child’s potential! I enjoy participating in Dot Day to showcase this book and its underlying message.
Hello, I am the Head of Curriculum & Inclusion, developing and nurturing our Jesters pre-schoolers. I have always had an immense passion for helping others and making a difference, and because of this, I always knew I wanted to work with children, positively impacting their lives and helping them thrive and learn.
Growing up, I always admired my teachers and couldn’t wait until I could inspire other young children, too. I completed my University Degree in Early Years and Primary Education and QTS Qualifications, and have been working in childcare and education since 2014. I have loved every minute and continue to do so here at Jesters.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking and cuddling my two dogs, Ralph and Willow; they are adorable and playful. I also enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and cooking each other’s dinners.
My favourite children’s book is Superworm by Julia Donaldson. This book has been extremely lucky for me, as I based an activity and lesson around it, and thankfully, I was successful. It is also an excellent read for children and my go-to in the classroom. I know firsthand that the children enjoy it as much as I enjoy reading it to them.
Hello, I’m Rachel, Head of Education & Wellbeing at Jesters. I have over 12 years of experience in childcare and education, and have taught in both nursery and school settings. I am passionate about child development and will always go above and beyond to ensure that all children are provided with exceptional learning and care opportunities.
I am part of the leadership teams at all Jesters settings. My role is to shape education and the curriculum across the service. I have Early Years Professional status.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching a good documentary or my favourite football team. I love reading, gardening and being outdoors.
My favourite book is The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson, as it reminds me of my childhood. My Grandparents used to read it to me to help me get over my fear. Happily, ‘Plop’ got over his fear, however I did not!
