The staff are endlessly caring and truly understand the children. Our son absolutely adores you all, and his confidence, independence, and social skills have grown so much. The school-readiness programme and enriched curriculum have been fantastic, supporting both his academic and emotional development. Watching him thrive has been incredibly special, and we feel so lucky to be part of the Jesters family.
Both practices are impeccable, staff are 10 out of 10 and the variety of activities and learning experiences provided are just amazing.
With an added bonus of extracurricular activities, this nursery provision is an absolute gem!
Having moved my child to Jesters from a different provider, I can wholeheartedly say other childcare provisions within the area are incomparable. This is quite simply the best!
Thank you to Kylie, Phoebe, Rachel, Chyanne and the rest of the wonderful team at Jesters. We are amazed at all of the wonderful things our child is learning on a daily basis: from their recognition of phonics when reading bedtime stories to being able to independently dress themselves, it's lovely to see your child flourish and grow. Your hard work, commitment and care to our child does not go unnoticed and we are very grateful for everything that you do. Thank you x
Thank you for such a lovely review. Watching your son grow and flourish has been a joy, and your kind words truly mean so much to the whole team. We're so grateful for your support!
My little girl has been attending Jesters for around six months now, and I'm genuinely amazed by how much she has progressed in such a short time. She comes home full of excitement, talking about phonics, new songs she has learned, and the lovely quality time she spends with her friends. It's incredibly reassuring to see her confidence growing each week and to know she is truly enjoying her time at nursery.
The staff at the Danbury setting have been nothing short of fantastic. They are warm, patient, and genuinely dedicated to getting to know each child as an individual. The care and attention they give shines through in the way my daughter speaks about them and the experiences she has each day. I feel completely at ease knowing she is in such a nurturing and supportive environment.
I honestly cannot thank the team at Danbury enough for looking after my daughter and helping her grow so beautifully. I would highly recommend Jesters to any parent.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We love having your daughter with us at Jesters Danbury, and can't wait for her to continue her journey with us!
Our little boy has such a fun time at Jesters, he is always doing different activities and learning new things. The staff are all so caring and you can tell they are really invested in the children. Thank you jesters for being such a trustworthy place for our children
Thank you so much for this positive feedback, we really appreciate it. It is so rewarding to see the children grow their independence and confidence through the varied activities and curriculum and it's great to hear how your little boy is enjoying it here, we love having him with us.
I can't say enough how grateful I am for all the support the Jesters (Danbury) staff have given myself and Edgar over the past 2 months. We have just moved to Danbury and changing settings was never going to be an easy process for a 3 year old, but I am thrilled to see that Edgar is loving going to pre-school! He speaks so highly of the days that he has and the activities he participates in. I have also seen a huge difference in a very short time around his independence with certain things eg. getting himself ready, putting things away, which is all down to the team giving him the confidence to try.
Special shout out to Kylie who has formed such a bond with Edgar. Thank you so much for being so warm and caring. Edgar truly feels like Jesters is a safe place where he can be himself and I know you make him feel very seen.
Thanks again team!
Thank you so much for your kind words, it has been a pleasure to have your Son with us. We look forward to him continuing his educational journey with Jesters!
The loving and nurturing environment given by the key workers has helped her to settle in and flourish over these past few months and every single day, she goes in (and comes out!), with a huge smile on her face.
We're so excited to watch her continue to grow there!!
Thank you so much for your review, we love having your daughter with us and look forward to continuing her educational journey!
Amazing! Moved into the area and can say this nursery is night and day in comparison to where we was previously. Updates are amazing and is great to see what they get up to during the day. The team are fantastic and a special shout out to Kylie who is working wonders! Would recommend to anyone in the area and will be returning back when the time arrives.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! It has been a pleasure getting to know your Son and we look forward to continuing his journey with us!
Staff are friendly and engaging and take a genuine interest in the wellbeing and education of my daughter. My daughter loves going. The school readiness program is great, and combined with the extended hours and year-round opening, I can work, and I know she is happy in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Thank you so much for your kind words- we love having your daughter with us at Jesters Danbury!
Every day is a new activity and learning so much!
So much care for the kids and get so many updates everyday.
They already know my little boy so well after only 1 month and it's so lovely to see him creating bonds and also making new friends.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. It has been a real pleasure getting to know your little boy and watching him settle in so confidently and thrive. We look forward to continuing to support his wonderful journey here at Jesters Danbury. Thanks again,Nursery School and Curriculum Lead
My son has been attending Jester's now for a few months, having been in another local preschool setting, which was good, there was a big shoes to fill and Jester's has done that and more. The warmth that you'll get from the team, the level of care, but also the commitment to creating and fostering a learning environment is absolutely fantastic. We'd only wish we'd found Jester sooner. Thanks so much everyone.
Thank you so much for your lovely words! We're so glad your son is enjoying his time at Jesters. It means a lot to know we've made such a positive impact and we're so lucky to have you with us!
I am thrilled to have chosen Jesters to look after my son. He is thriving there and speaks wonderful things about all members of staff. We receive regular updates via the parents portal and feel reassurance when seeing them, that he is improving a range of skills. My husband and I too feel comfortable as feedback is always given in a non judgemental manner and warm tone.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're absolutely delighted to hear that your son is thriving at Jesters and that you feel reassured and supported as parents. We're proud to be part of your son's journey and look forward to seeing him continue to grow and develop with us.
My son has been with Jesters at another location setting since he was 10 months old, he's recently moved to the Danbury setting for the school readiness program and he's settled in so well there. The staff are fantastic and made us feel so welcome. He's recently been on a trip out to the museum which he loved and it was so nice to see the photos uploaded to the app so I could see for myself what a great time he had. I have no doubt that over the next year he'll keep thriving there and be ready for school. I highly recommend Jesters!
Thank you for your review. We are so pleased your child has settled into the Danbury setting well. It's wonderful to know he enjoyed the museum trip. We love sharing those special moments with families through the app and showcasing the impact hands-on experiences, like trips, has on their...
We are absolutely thrilled with the level of care at Jesters Nursery School Danbury. 3 staff members in particular go above and beyond to create a welcoming and fun environment for all the children. The educational activities are always well thought out and we receive regular updates on what they have learnt each week. Our daughter has really thrived whilst at Jesters, they have encouraged her creativity and imagination and she has made some lovely friends. We can't recommend this nursery enough and can't wait to see how our son develops when he starts in September.
Since joining Jesters my son has changed and grown so much. He's become so much more outgoing, confident and really enjoys his nursery days and seeing all his friends. The school readiness programme has been brilliant for him and he is really enjoying learning new things and practising what he's learnt at home. His vocabulary amazes me now and he always wants to do things himself or show me things he's learnt. He is getting very excited for school in September but it will be a sad time when he has to leave Jesters as he has formed lovely relationships with all the staff and other children.
My daughter was at the Bickenacre setting since she was 10 months old which we were very happy with. Last September our daughter moved to Danbury to start the readiness program, since starting this she has thrived. Jesters have a very creative and fun way of teaching the children while preparing them for school when they start in September. My daughter loves it at Jesters and I cannot recommend both Danbury highly enough.
That's such wonderful feedback! We're so pleased to hear that your daughter has thrived since joining the School Readiness Programme at Jesters Danbury. It's fantastic to know she loves her time at Jesters and we truly appreciate your kind words about our creative and fun approach to learning. With school approaching, I cannot wait to see her develop even further.
Our son has absolutely flourished at Danbury doing the school readiness programme. He has just soaked up everything and is so ready for school in September. His independence and confidence have grown so much, with the help of the wonderful staff. The activities they do, and the learning opportunities are so well thought out, always with the children and their learning in mind. He has made some lovely friendships and has thrived there. It will be a bittersweet moment the day we leave. We have been with Jesters for nearly 4 years and they have given him the best start he could possibly ask for. I love that it's a small nursery with a lovely character.
Update, in the end I have to take my son out of this place for his best.
This reviewer is posting in all our settings in an undeserved attempt to damage our reputation. The well-being and welfare of the children in our care is our prime consideration at all times. It would be inappropriate to address the concerns raised here individually. The issues were fully addressed...
My child has absolutely loved his time at Jesters in Danbury. The whole team have been amazing from the moment we contacted by email and communications have continued to be fantastic. My child absolutely adores the staff caring for him, so much so he has asked if he can attend more days. My son settled in so quickly with the team, and I appreciate the time they take to update me on how his day has been when I collect him. He has had so many new and different experiences at the nursery, and we have all been delighted with all the different activities he has been doing at the nursery. I am so happy we were lucky enough to find a place here and I would highly recommend this nursery.
We are so pleased you have been happy with the care and education provided at our Danbury setting.
I cannot recommend Jesters Danbury more highly! We recently moved to the area; I toured 7 nurseries to find the right fit for our daughter. Jesters was the best choice by far -- everything we've experienced has confirmed this. We love the approaches and ethos. The setting is bright, open, spacious and inviting, with free flow to the charming back garden (there's also a larger garden). But what truly makes Jesters stand out is its people. We received phenomenal support from the Business Manager, who goes above and beyond to assist and welcome parents. The Danbury team are also incredible. They're so lovely and warm, and clearly excellent practitioners. We're so happy with the high standard of care, the well-planned and engaging curriculum, and the terrific communication with parents (in person and via the app). Our daughter (who is naturally very shy) settled straight away. I've never seen her happier to go to nursery. We're so glad we found Jesters!
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so pleased with how your daughter has settled in and love having you all as part of the Jesters family.
We received a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The way they teach their children to be independent is amazing. Very practical, educational, creative, indoor and outdoor learning. 100% recommendable.
Thank you for your lovely words. We love having you both as part of the Jesters family.

Meet the Team (4)
Hello, I am Phoebe, Danbury Deputy Nursery School Operations Manager and our co-located site Bicknacre Nursery Manager – shared role with Becky. I have been working in the childcare sector since 2016, gaining my Level 3 qualification in 2018. I have also completed my Level 4 in Nursery Management in 2020. I started my journey with Jesters as a Nursery Practitioner in 2018, helping to open our sister site in Beaulieu.
Working in managerial roles across both sites is such an incredible experience. I love that the children’s personalities are really starting to show, especially the cheeky side! Most of my professional career has been at Jesters, and I love their values and ethos throughout the settings.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and my little boy, Dougie. We love to go for walks to the park and explore the wonderful places around us.
Growing up, my favourite book was The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. It reminds me of the time I would read it at my Grandma’s house and we talk about which ‘lands’ we wanted to go to. Mine would always be ‘The Land of Dreams!’
Hello, my name is Kylie, and I am the Deputy Nursery School & Curriculum Manager at Danbury. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and have worked in education for over 10 years. I have always known that I wanted to go into teaching, as I am passionate about learning and ensuring that education is accessible to all children.
I was born and raised in South Africa and immigrated with my family in 2021. I worked in a Primary School in South Africa and assisted many nurseries there to enable children to be school-ready. Upon immigrating, I worked in an Infant School as an assistant so as to expand my SEND and curriculum knowledge.
I joined Jesters in December 2024 and have been warmly welcomed by all the various team members and children! My role is to work within the School Readiness Programme to enable the children in my care to be as socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually ready for formal schooling.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors with my husband and little boy! We love to explore the forests around us and splash in every muddy puddle in sight!
My favourite book is The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. It is a story of a little girl whose art teacher helps her to develop a ‘can-do’ attitude. Vashti is sure that she can’t draw, but when her teacher puts Vashti’s simple dot picture on display, Vashti begins to think of what else she might be able to draw, too, if she is only willing to give it a try.
I love this book as it embodies a growth mindset and shows that a simple belief from a teacher can spark a child’s potential! I enjoy participating in Dot Day to showcase this book and its underlying message.
Hello, I am the Head of Curriculum & Inclusion, developing and nurturing our Jesters pre-schoolers. I have always had an immense passion for helping others and making a difference, and because of this, I always knew I wanted to work with children, positively impacting their lives and helping them thrive and learn.
Growing up, I always admired my teachers and couldn’t wait until I could inspire other young children, too. I completed my University Degree in Early Years and Primary Education and QTS Qualifications, and have been working in childcare and education since 2014. I have loved every minute and continue to do so here at Jesters.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking and cuddling my two dogs, Ralph and Willow; they are adorable and playful. I also enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and cooking each other’s dinners.
My favourite children’s book is Superworm by Julia Donaldson. This book has been extremely lucky for me, as I based an activity and lesson around it, and thankfully, I was successful. It is also an excellent read for children and my go-to in the classroom. I know firsthand that the children enjoy it as much as I enjoy reading it to them.
Hello, I’m Rachel, Head of Education & Wellbeing at Jesters. I have over 12 years of experience in childcare and education, and have taught in both nursery and school settings. I am passionate about child development and will always go above and beyond to ensure that all children are provided with exceptional learning and care opportunities.
I am part of the leadership teams at all Jesters settings. My role is to shape education and the curriculum across the service. I have Early Years Professional status.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching a good documentary or my favourite football team. I love reading, gardening and being outdoors.
My favourite book is The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson, as it reminds me of my childhood. My Grandparents used to read it to me to help me get over my fear. Happily, ‘Plop’ got over his fear, however I did not!
