Toddlers Inn Nursery School is based in North Chailey, on the site of St Peters Primary school.

Toddlers Inn’s fantastic custom-made building sits in a stunning setting. The beautiful oak tree garden, secret forest school garden, and light, open-plan classrooms are all in the striking hills and playing field grounds of St Peter’s Primary School, North Chailey.

The nursery has childcare places for 0 to 5-year-olds – the space is large but still remains intimate.

In this leafy, vibrant spot, there is no doubt the nursery can provide children with fun-filled days that will awaken the senses and kick-start social skills whilst establishing new, firm friendships.

At Toddlers Inn Nursery School, children have the freedom to explore a natural environment and can develop a sense of wonder about nature. It’s also a place where children learn to cultivate and nurture. In the gardening club, children can grow fruit and veg and eat them for lunch. How lucky!

The team and children are outside as much as possible to keep healthy, but when the children are ready to come back in there is a warm, homely space, a friendly face and a cuddle if wanted to welcome every child.

Pre school children access Forest School everyday, with their large outdoor classroom, two yurts and allotment, the children flourish in the great outdoors. During pet club they are able to learn about chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and giant African land snails!

The staff at Toddlers Inn are so friendly and welcoming like an extension of your family. Both my sons have been here one is new at Chailey St Peters, the transition was seamless. My 5-year-old now uses the after-school club which is so convenient as a parent to have one drop and one pick up. The Jewel
in the crown is the outdoor space, there is so much for him to do and they go out in all weathers, just perfect. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone.

My son moved from another nursery to Toddlers Inn. The staff were so helpful and supportive with the transitioning period. Each day the staff provide feedback on how your child has been. I have seen my son reach milestones from being there, very talkative, bright and growing in confidence.

Toddlers Inn is a great nursery. My son and daughter both attended from age 2 and have really enjoyed themselves. The staff are friendly, it is a lovely setting with a great garden and the nursery run varied activities to keep the children entertained and help develop their learning.

This is a really warm, friendly nursery with staff who genuinely care about the individual children and who have supported us through numerous difficult baby and toddler phases. My child has been attending since she was 11 months and is soon to go to school and the care and opportunities she has received
have been excellent all the way through. We have loved the fantastic range of activities, from looking after ducklings, science experiments, archaeology, experimental cooking and the emphasis on toys that encourage children to use their imagination. The setting has good quality equipment with lots of natural materials, proper home cooked food and lots of outdoor space and it is improving all the time.
I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

This is a fantastic nursery, the staff are all extremely caring. The learning and development that each child receives is excellent and made fun. 'Tapestry' is used as a communication channel which gives you updates on what the children have done as a group and also individual observations which may
include photos, this a great way to receive communications. The staff are all very professional and very easy to talk to if you have any concerns in relation to your child. I experienced potty training for my son difficult compared to his older brothers, the staff were brilliant at working as a partnership to help my son get through this development stage. The setting of the nursery is also lovely, they have their own outdoor area with a separate section for forest school for the older children and they can also use the outdoor facilities of the school. I strongly recommend this nursery, I have a very happy, ready for school little boy who has made some great friends along the way.

We have had two children at Toddlers Inn and we couldn't be happier. Staff are very competent, caring and friendly. Each day we have had a handover about his day and the tapestry log shows us how he has been progressing. Our son loves going to nursery and talks about the new friendships he has made.
We would highly recommend this nursery so they are so in tune with the children and families.

A caring and child centred setting located in Mid Sussex. Toddler's Inn has a brilliant outside area which children are free to explore. The staff get to know all children as individuals and encourage them to learn according to their own interests and abilities. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
