Partou Fern Bank Day Nursery & Pre-school

Our little boy has been at the nursery for over a year. Initially, he struggled to settle in and was upset each time but the staff have been absolutely fantastic and gradually he's settled. He now gets excited to go to to nursery and always says he's enjoyed it. I'm so pleased that we stuck with it and so grateful to the staff for their patience and kindness.

My little boy moved to this nursery recently and I can not recommend it enough. The staff are amazing and go that extra mile for each child and support them in any way they need. Their food menu is out of this world my little one has additional needs and struggles with textures etc but he absolutely loves the food there is so much for the children to do with a large outdoor area, and plenty for children to do and learn, and support for the parents.

My son started this nursery in April 2024 and has loved it. He was upset to be left in the mornings but the staff were great with him to calm him down and he eventually got better. I now can't get him to leave at pick-up. All the staff are lovely and communicate with you at drop off and pick up. You can see that all the staff love their jobs and do their best for all the children. Management is absolutely great and the support they offer to you and your child is fantastic, you are kept up to date with processes, etc. My son came from another nursery and some things were picked up straight away with Fern Bank management told me straight away, explained clearly what would happen next, and kept me up to date with everything, the staff provided support to him at the nursery and he is improving each and every day. They also cater to different allergies. The food is good and he loves all his meals provided.

Very good nursery with a variety of activities each day for the children to have fun and learn, great staff that go above and beyond to help and always engage well with parents and communicate what your child has been doing each day.

The staff are so kind, patient, and caring, they always encourage my son to learn and try new things. I'm so glad I chose them and would recommend them to anyone.

My daughter has just finished her last week in Fern Bank Day Nursery. I would like to say thanks to every single member who has been looking after her over the last 3 years. I am more than happy and satisfied with my daughter's experience in this place. All the staff are lovely and friendly. My daughter was looking forward to going to the nursery in the morning and she never made a fuss of being there. The food is very varied, and they were happy to adapt to different dietary requirements when we were testing things out for medical purposes.

My son has been attending this nursery since he was 1 and is just about to finish pre-school, his time here has been amazing. My son is happy to go and always tells me he’s had a good day when I pick him up. The staff are friendly and well trained and you can tell they care deeply for him and look after all the kids like one big family. He’s come along leaps and bounds being here and the staff have supported me and my son all the way through. It’s fun, spacious, clean and most importantly, very tailored to your child’s personal needs. I 100% recommend this nursery and I’m sad to be saying goodbye and I know my boy will be too!

Fern Bank Private Day Nursery and Pre-school is a brilliant nursery. The staff have remained consistent over the past three years which is great and they are all warm, welcoming and really care. My daughter loves all of her ‘teachers’ and is keen to get back to nursery after the weekend as she has missed everyone! She started at just 9 months old and settled in quickly and we were certain that she was safe and happy. She has developed so much thanks to all of the opportunities she is provided with by the Fern Bank team.

My little boy has been there since 1 year old and is loving every minute of being there. He is now just over 2 and moved into the toddler class. He has developed and flourished so beautifully with thanks to the wonderful staff. As a parent, it’s always hard to leave your child with anyone, especially in the care of a stranger. I have felt nothing but trust, respect and love from every member of staff at the nursery. Management is really good and she’s very compassionate, caring and supportive. Honestly, it’s an amazing nursery!

My twins are going to be attending this nursery next year and I am 100% happy that they will love it.

Staff go above and beyond to make sure children feel safe and happy and the manager does an amazing job too, very easy to approach if needed. Highly recommended.

Fern Bank is a lovely nursery. All of the staff are very friendly, my son loves it here he just runs straight in every morning no hesitating and comes out smiling every time I pick him up. Because of Fern Bank, he is growing into a very confident, happy little boy.

My daughter’s nursery is excellent. The staff treat the children like they would their own. My daughter lights up when she sees almost every member of staff in the mornings. The nursery is flexible and amenable to changes in your own life that mean more/less days are needed at short notice. My daughter loves the food and the activities. She is always happy when she gets into nursery and is always having fun when I arrive - which I can see from the window when I arrive. There is a decent amount of outdoor space - they work with what they have. Their opening hours are also helpful to working parents. Overall, I couldn’t recommend them enough and was so happy we made the choice we did.

Fantastic pre-school and fantastic staff too, any issues or concerns I've had regarding my daughter (big or small) the staff are available to help/chat and resolve any concerns. My little girls' key worker is amazing and is clearly dedicated to her role, always making sure all is well. 'Happy child, happy mum.'

Absolutely amazing nursery! My son is so happy going to nursery, the updates we get are great and the staff are lovely and I've not one bad word to say! So happy I chose Fern Bank for my son, the best nursery in the area.

I really can't fault this nursery on any level. Our son is happy and settled at Fern Bank, and it's obvious that he enjoys himself every day at the nursery. The staff are friendly, helpful, approachable and really do try their best to make the children happy and contented. They arrange days out for the children on picnics, walks in the woods etc, really good fun for the children. Overall an excellent choice - and a nursery that I would highly recommend.

Excellent caring staff. They are always willing to go the extra step to help my son. Very happy with the nursery and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nursery where their child can flourish.
