Children 1st Birstall Nursery School

Brought out a side to my daughter that doesn’t show often. Has become more confident in a lot of aspects. I have no issues to raise with the care of my child. She absolutely loves going there.

The only one issue is parking. It can be difficult getting in and out at busy times.

Cannot rate this nursery enough. Both of my girls are so happy here. The staff are excellent and really so care since the refurb the nursery looks amazing and the outside facilities are great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone.

Such an amazing nursery, I highly recommend Children 1st @ Birstall. My daughter is so happy here, no tears when I leave her in the morning and always big happy smiles when I pick her up in the evening! The staff here are just excellent, my daughter has bonded with and enjoys spending time with all of them. The food here is great too and my daughter's healthy appetite is well catered for, she regularly has seconds at mealtimes and loves being able to pick a healthy snack when leaving after a long day learning and playing!! The atmosphere here is great and the staff all seem to love and take pride in their jobs and their workplace. The facilities here are up to date, age appropriate for the differing settings and well looked after and cared for. Overall I can’t fault this nursery.

The nursery itself is a fun and bright environment and I think it provides the backdrop for more effective learning. Our son loves going to nursery and is a happy bubbly child. Overall a very caring and safe environment for our son.

Since our first visit to the nursery, we knew this was a remarkable place. We were instantly put at ease when leaving our little one for the first time. We have huge confidence in the care that is delivered and can not rate the staff more highly. They are always approachable and professional, caring and compassionate. On a daily basis, we receive a thorough and detailed handover of care. We are always kept informed of all the wonderful things our little one has been up to and we particularly love receiving the photos and accounts throughout the day of activities that she has been involved with. Our little girl has thrived beyond our expectations since being at nursery. She absolutely loves her time there. As a family, we cannot rate it more highly and would most certainly recommend to anyone that is looking for a nursery. Thank you.

My child loves nursery. All the staff have been very warm and welcoming since she started in the baby room in May. They understand her well and keep to her routine. She's learnt lots of new skills and I love being notified of the changes throughout the app.

The appearance of the nursery has changed and improved but I’m pleased to say there are positive changes with the care also.

All of the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. They have been amazing with both of my children. My daughter is 4 and she loves coming to nursery and now it has been refurbished it looks amazing. My son is 9 months and has just started and he also loves it. The staff have been very helpful as he has a dairy allergy and he has all food specially made to suit his needs.

This review is based on 9 months of using the nursery. The staff are experienced and genuinely do care and my child has developed considerably during his time there. The recent refurbishment has added a modern feel and play and learning opportunities which I know my child enjoys on a daily basis.

Children's First have been fundamental in my sons development. They have encouraged confidence in my son and us in Children's First as his parents. They have a professional operation and image. The improvements they have made to the nursery are outstanding and my son is happy and excited to attend the days he is in.

Children’s 1st have turned this already brilliant nursery into something much much more. The quality of the interiors and the outdoor play areas is superb.

My daughter is very happy at the nursery and cannot wait to go each morning. The food is fantastic, all home cooked, nutritious and tasty.

As a parent I feel completely reassured that my daughter is getting the best care and 1st education at this nursery.

I would thoroughly recommend sending your child here.

Children 1st @ Birstall have done an amazing job of transforming the nursery and after-school club. The nursery has more of a flow and is very open with wonderful, new and exciting toys and development aids. The staff are just as friendly and open. My girls love the new environment.

My children love the nursery and are very happy there. Learning standards have really improved and I am impressed with what my son is learning.

We have been sending our son to the nursery since 2015 and we absolutely love the place. The nursery itself is undergoing reconstruction and the place looks and feels fabulous, it is big and spacious and my son loves playing and exploring different things.

All the staff are incredible! They are friendly and always on hand to help and answer any questions or worries and will always provide an update at the end of the day.

The children have a variety of food to eat (on a 4 weekly rota) and snacks are provided throughout the day.

This nursery is amazing and the transformation from what it was to what it is now is just wonderful.

Children 1st @ Birstall took over management of the nursery in summer of 2017, so I feel it's a little early to comment. However, I haven't had any problems and the tradition was fairly smooth. We still have the same practitioners so the kids and I are happy with that.

My son had been going to the nursery for 6 months prior to it becoming a Children 1st nursery. We obviously liked it before to choose it, however, now it is absolutely amazing and like no other nursery we visited in the area. Newly refurbished with bright open plan rooms with beautiful toys and play equipment with the most amazing outside play area and great staff - what's not to like? I'm so glad we got in before all the changes as when the word gets out I imagine there will be a huge waiting list!
