Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch Nursery

Tops Christchurch has helped both my children immensly. For a parent to trust a childcare provider with their children is very special. I feel happy and confident leaving my children with their key workers and enjoy the daily observations. My children always come home happy and the staff are quick to handover any issues. I am so thankful for all of Tops who take such good care of both my children.

I am very happy that my son can attend Tops Day Nursery in Christchurch. My son is 3 years old and he is non-verbal and autistic and I was very afraid to leave him away from me. But the nursery gave me a lot of security about that and every day I am more in love with the team, the care, the attention and the affection they give our son makes us feel safe and confident that we made the right choice in letting him go to Tops Day Nursery. I am very happy and every day I feel that he is really enjoying going to the nursery and overcoming its challenges.

Although I loved his previous setting I'm so glad we changed to tops, was definitely meant to be.

Such a lovely team at Tops Christchurch, my little one is loves going and always has fun, very accommodating to his needs and demands, of which he has many! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

My son has attended Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch for around 2 months now and he loves every minute of it. At first I was worried with how he would settle as he has never left me, however the staff do so well with keeping him occupied. The communication through the app is brilliant as I can see clearly what he has eaten for the day, his nap times, and any photos of the day. The team is so friendly and always happy to answer any questions I have. Will absolutely recommend to family and friends to come here.

My granddaughter has been attending the nursery three times a week since she was 11 months old. She is just going through the process of starting infants. I can say she has never complained about going to nursery. The staff have always been friendly and seem to have a genuine feel for all the children. My granddaughter has learned a good number of daily life needs, especially learning to try different foods. I can only say that I think the time she has spent at the nursery has made her a more all-round, grounded and confident child. Should anyone think to ask an old man his thoughts on nurseries I would be more than happy to recommend Tops Day Nurseries at Christchurch.

The staff seem to be very caring and friendly and the facilities are good. My child however comes out of nursery really dirty and considering it is just after lunch it makes me wonder if they wash their hands before meals or at all. Admin are pretty demanding and the charges are extremely expensive, I have been told contradicting information about charges. I would not send a smaller baby to Tops but feel it is OK for toddlers. The flexibility is the main reason my child is there.

Do not send your baby here. Inflexible in changing the booking process after 2 sessions showing needs analysis not identified and not helpful in assisting me to change costing me money. 2 lots of lost property (eventually resolved), over the phone exaggerations on well-being, wet nappy left in nursery bag. Management offered the standard complaint responses of more training and improvements for the future. First time sending a 5-month-old baby to nursery, who’s now at a different setting and have had the opposite experience, telling me I was right in knowing this nursery is not set up for babies. Avoid.

It is a lovely set-up with very engaged teachers that I fully trust. I love their approach to sustainability and the values they teach to kids.

My daughter has been attending Tops Day Nurseries: Christchurch since she was one and is now in the preschool room, starting school in September. When I first visited the nursery I completely fell in love with the natural aesthetic in the rooms and the different play zones in the garden and I still feel the same to this day. My daughter continues to enjoy going to nursery each week and it is lovely to hear her talk about her friends and the teams within the room. The nursery work really hard to get the children outdoors and my daughter loves the trips down to the Quay and the nearby park - she especially enjoyed her Forest School trips out to collect resources to make artwork. Observations via the app can be sporadic but I appreciate that it can be difficult for the team to send updates to all the parents of the children on a daily basis - if they did they'd never be interacting with the children! I would definitely recommend Tops Christchurch to any parent living in the area!

I do absolutely recommend the nursery and the flexibility is incredibly helpful.

My son has been attending Tops in Christchurch since he was one, he is now three and a half and in their preschool. He absolutely loves it, they do so many activities and crafts daily, and are always outside weather permitting. He has some really good relationships with the staff and talks about them all the time. For me, the flexible hours work well and the location and staff are great. I feel like they all really know my son and give good feedback after every session.

Lovely nursery. My daughter has been coming for nearly two years now and my second is booked to start in the new year. Friendly team and my daughter is always happy at drop off. My only tiny wish would be for more regular image updates.

My son has attended Tops in Christchurch for nearly 18 months. I can honestly say this is the best nursery any of my four children have attended. He is happy every day to go in and has made excellent relationships with all the staff and children. The staff go above and beyond with their care and attention. Even recently spotted the signs of a serious illness and acted promptly, resulting in my son avoiding a hospital trip. The communication is excellent and I can see photos and videos of what he is doing with his friends. They are frequently doing different activities and he loves to tell me about his day. Highly recommended!
