Hove Village Day Nurseries are Brighton and Hove’s most innovative, unique and inspiring day care settings in the city. Their four nurseries are based in New Church Road, Hove Library and Kemptown, and each have their own distinctive personality and appeal.

Open all year round, the child-centred settings have been educating children in Brighton and Hove for nine years. Founded by a Montessori trained children's educator, the settings offer an enriching blend of child led approaches which allow little ones to grow, flourish and develop a real love of learning and exploration.

Each setting offers a wide variety of stimulating age-appropriate activities. The dedication to creativity gives Hove Village its uniqueness and means the children have access to a team of talented art, music and dance teachers who are based at the nurseries.

All classes, including music, dance, yoga, art and Rugbytots, are included in the fees. The selection of qualified and experienced childcare staff is one of the nursery's highest priorities, with one of the most highly qualified and experienced teams in the city.

As well as free creative classes, nutritious meals come at no extra cost with a wide range of healthy meals being prepared fresh everyday by onsite chefs. These include breakfast, snacks, lunch and tea with starters or dessert.

The nursery also offers ongoing discounts to employees of NHS.

We’ve had a great year at Hove Village. Our child has gone from feeling quite anxious about going to nursery to absolutely loving it, and that’s definitely to the credit of the lovely staff looking after him. He’s constantly doing amazing activities from dance, to rugby tots, to yoga, to music, to bread
making! It’s very clear to me that he’s having a great experience.

My son has been at Hove Village for almost 3 years and during this time has thrived. We feel so happy and confident that he is in a nurturing environment with not only people who care about him and his wellbeing but also a place where he gets to experience so many incredible learning opportunities.
The educators are second to none. Hove Village honestly feels like a second family and a home away from home for our children. Our daughter, now 14 months also started not long ago and she is going from strength to strength in the wonderful care of Wrens. The educators have formed such bonds with her and it’s so beautiful to see.
We couldn’t be more thankful for the experience we’ve had at Hove Village and I wish the kids could stay there forever!

I'm so happy to find this nursery they are so kind and they do the best for my boy everywhere is clean. I'm lucky to have found Hove Village, my son is so happy and excited all the time, all the staff are so kind. I’m lucky to find Hove Village, thank you all.

Our twin boys have been attending Hove Village Nursery since they were 13 months old (March 2022 they started) and every day I have always felt so confident handing them over. They settled in so quickly and I put that down to the great care and support from all the educators and other staff. They work
tirelessly providing a constant stream of activities for the children, indoor and outdoor play, and all the messy play I am grateful for that happens at nursery!
The menu is excellent, with so much variety.
My rating is based on what I see from my boys, which is smiles, laughing, tops covered in paint and glitter, they are so happy to be there. I 100% recommend this nursery. Thank you

I have found the care my son receives at Hove Village to be a great standard. All the staff positively interacted with him both in his specific room and throughout the nursery.
In the last 6 weeks, some challenging behaviours were observed from him. The team around him were very professional, proactive
and supportive. As parents we felt respected and valued and following a number of interactions, always felt the well-being of both our child and the other children was the primary concern, without any sense of judgement or criticism.
My son is encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities and it is wonderful that the team genuinely make use of the fantastic location by regularly playing in the park and going down to the beach.
The new management has been a breath of fresh air throughout the nursery and I truly believe this is reflected in the experience my child receives every day he attends.

Our daughter has attended Hove Village since she turned one when I had to return to work so has been attending for almost 3 years, it was daunting leaving her anywhere but she has really blossomed no doubt in part due to the fantastic time she has had at nursery. We have always felt completely confident
leaving her there due to the brilliant staff who provide such a caring and nurturing environment. She is always beaming when I collect her and I love getting the updates throughout the day showing the great range of activities she has been enjoying. Choosing the right nursery is a personal decision and for us, Hove Village has been such a happy experience, we can’t fault it. Plus the food seems much better than what I have for my lunch!

Hove Village has been wonderful for our son who started in Storks in January, the fact he greets the educators with a smile each morning and waves me off is always a good sign. We have been really pleased with support that has been provided to enable him to develop. The activities provided are great
for stimulation and learning and we have seen his skills grow as well as language. The food provided is excellent as the menu provides variation. Couldn't think of anywhere better to send our children.

Our son has been at Hove Village Day Nursery for the past 18 months, having started at age 11 months. We have been delighted with the care that he has received - he adores going to nursery and we are very sad to be leaving due to relocation. We have been very impressed with the personal way that we
have been dealt with by both the educators and administrative staff and by the way that all members of the team interact with the children. We have always been very happy with the care provided by the educators and it has been lovely to see the genuine affection displayed by so many of them towards our son. It has been wonderful to see how much his confidence and speech and language skills have grown under their care, and his passions for painting and messy play have been encouraged and supported. Most importantly for us, we have always felt confident and happy handing him over to the team knowing how well he will be cared for and how much he enjoys his time at nursery.

Absolutely love the preschool Starlings staff. They’ve been amazing, especially during this period when is our 4-year-old learning how to be a good big brother. The girls in Starlings are helping him with this transition and have been supporting him all the way since the beginning. As he’s very shy,
and has difficulties with any type of transition, this has been a massive help and as his mother, I couldn’t appreciate it more. Thank you all!

My daughter loved going to the Bloomsbury Street setting. I can't recommend it highly enough. She went on regular trips to the beach and the local church. The staff all work hard and seem to really enjoy working there which makes for a great environment for the children.

I'm sorry to see that you feel we could have done better with our meal provision. Our two on-site Italian chefs cook everything from scratch and offer an 11 day rolling seasonal menu with a mixture of starters and mains, as well as mains and desserts. They use the very best suppliers and strive to provide nutritious, delicious meals for our little ones here at Hove Village. Both my sons have been at Hove Village Day Nursery from the ages of one to preschool, and we've been using them since 2017.
They are an exceptionally wonderful team and take great care in developing their little minds and bodies. My children have thrived, are sociable and outgoing, and are always happy
to go and be there.
The food is also great - made on site and is varied, giving them lots of flavours, like Thai curry, Moroccan couscous to name but a few. Makes our weekend lunches boring!
It's been a home from home and when my last son leaves soon, it will be a sad day!
Can't recommend them highly enough.

If you are looking for a nursery for your little one, don't look any further, as Hove Village is the perfect place for all children.
My son was nine months when he started to go to the nursery. I was really worried as he was so little, and it was just after lockdown, so he wasn't used to strangers.
Yet, it only took a couple of weeks for him to settle in, and it is down to the wonderful care and support he has been getting from his main carers.
The nursery offers delicious and nutritious on-site cooked meals, snacks, nappies and everything your child might need for no extra charge.
If you decide to go for this nursery, your child will be engaged throughout the day with different activities where their carers are involved too.
The staff are lovely, from the carers who are looking after the little ones to the people in the office.
The nursery also uses an application where they send you updates about how your child is doing and what she or he has been up to during the day.

My son joined Hove Village when he was very shy, not speaking English, not socialising with children his age and I was very worried that he would end up being shy and left outside. After just few weeks I noticed the change in him. Gradually he improved and just after few months he was actually very
liked by other kids. Also he was confident and involved in group activities. He started speaking English, even at home. So I cannot emphasise enough that Hove Village was a great choice that I made for him and now he is going to school. I enrolled my 2 year old daughter. Thank you to all staff and teachers. Thanks.

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Hove Village Nursery situated in Hove Library. The staff are very welcoming, kind and attentive. The communication via the app and at collection is very good, everyone is very approachable and friendly.
The activities are always creative, child led and diverse
which is excellent, little trips as well as sports, yoga and music make every session really fun.
I know my son will miss the Monkeys room and his friends and the staff, however they have also helped to ensure he is school ready and looking forward to the next step.
