Hove Village Day Nurseries are Brighton and Hove’s most innovative, unique and inspiring day care settings in the city. Their four nurseries are based in New Church Road, Hove Library and Kemptown, and each have their own distinctive personality and appeal.

Open all year round, the child-centred settings have been educating children in Brighton and Hove for nine years. Founded by a Montessori trained children's educator, the settings offer an enriching blend of child led approaches which allow little ones to grow, flourish and develop a real love of learning and exploration.

Each setting offers a wide variety of stimulating age-appropriate activities. The dedication to creativity gives Hove Village its uniqueness and means the children have access to a team of talented art, music and dance teachers who are based at the nurseries.

All classes, including music, dance, yoga, art and Rugbytots, are included in the fees. The selection of qualified and experienced childcare staff is one of the nursery's highest priorities, with one of the most highly qualified and experienced teams in the city.

As well as free creative classes, nutritious meals come at no extra cost with a wide range of healthy meals being prepared fresh everyday by onsite chefs. These include breakfast, snacks, lunch and tea with starters or dessert.

The nursery also offers ongoing discounts to employees of NHS.

Our child has a great time at the nursery. They offer a lot of creative activities as well as educational ones which helps the kids develop and we can see the difference day after day. The educators have been very helpful and supportive over the time and they try to tailor the schedule around the kids
and take children's needs into account.

We cannot praise the entire team at Hove village day nursery enough. Both my boys were born extremely Premature, so leaving them at nursery was an extremely worrying thought. But from day one, the care, attention, and love they have shown our two boys is simply outstanding. It truly feels like a second
home for the children, and the staff are like a loving, extended family. My eldest (2years) loves nursery so much that he acts like he owns the place. From the moment we first entered, we were struck by the bright, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff's passion is evident in every interaction. The key workers are amazing-they are so tuned into the needs of our children and celebrate every small achievement with us.

Much like many of the parents looking at reviews I was keen to understand if this was the right call. When I came across Hove Village after a bad nursery experience for my 20 month old I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision despite recommendations from close friends. I can confirm, wholeheartedly
and without a doubt this was the best decision I could have made for my beautiful girl. She is happier than she has ever been and I have never been so sure that I am placing her in the care of people who will give her everything she needs in my absence. The staff are so communicative, friendly, attentive and genuinely passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment for all in their charge. I couldn't recommend this amazing and diverse setting more. Their support has been integral to my girls overall happiness and she is now thriving. My son will be starting in Jan and I can't wait to see how he develops in this versatile and exciting environment.

I couldn't be more pleased with Hove Village Nursery. My daughter joined at nine months and now, as she readies for school, she continues to thrive. She loves going each day, forming strong friendships across rooms and knowing all of the staff, not just her key worker. The curriculum balances play-based
learning with school-readiness: in the past six months she's come home excited about letters, phonics, numbers, and creative projects. I have had both of my girls grow up in Hove Village for the last 4 years. They have been so happy and encouraged and I have loved them being there as a parent. I have trusted in the staff fully and felt kept up to date and that my babies were well looked after. Very sad our time with them has ended
but they were part of an excellent start for them both. Thank you all.

I am overwhelmed with happiness because of the care and creativity at Hove Village Nursery. My 4-year-old has flourished at your setting as she has been given the space and, most importantly, the understanding she needed to get over some bad past experiences at previous settings which led to built-up
anxiety. I have done work on myself as a parent too which has also been a massive factor as I have learnt to change my approaches to her needs. This will change as she grows older and has different challenges. However, a child's start in life is important to set the tone for the future, so I am glad she ended her preschool life at Hove Village. She is very ready for school and was the happiest and most excited yesterday as we visited her new school.

My daughter has been at Hove Village for a year now and the whole team have been fantastic. I found it very hard to leave her in the beginning and truthfully I wasn't ready to leave her and go back to work but Hove Village were brilliant and made it so much easier. The staff always sent me a reassuring
message, updating me on her activities after a tricky drop-off and were so kind and understanding. Photos and updates throughout the day via the app are a pleasure to receive and really help when you're missing your little person. The staff in general are so lovely and were great at supporting through potty training too. The children do loads of activities such as yoga, dancing, rugby etc and visit the park regularly. The food at the nursery is fantastic and smells amazing every day I pick her up. I would recommend HV anyone and do it regularly.

My daughter loves Hove Village. She feels safe and happy which is always evident at drop off where she happily goes to the educators for a hug and some breakfast. She is well cared for - sun cream is always reapplied when going outside, always encouraged to drink water and is provided with healthy meals
that she loves. The education is child-centred and child-led with lots of exciting activities during the week including children's rugby and music. I highly recommend this nursery.

My little boy has been going to Hove Village Day Nursery since he was 10 months old (he’s now 2). From the get-go, he created such a special bond with his key workers and that continued each time he moved up a room.
The nursery itself is very clean and they have a beautiful garden, as well as backing
onto the park, which is amazing because they take trips to the beach and park. The food is all freshly cooked at the nursery and the smells on drop off and pick up are amazing! The variety is also great. I’ve never had a doubt here, all the staff are wonderful and my little boy’s development has been incredible.

My daughter has thrived since starting this nursery, she has come on leaps and bounds and is excited to go every week! I don’t think I’ve ever had her cry about leaving me. The staff are amazing and so genuine. I can’t fault this nursery one little bit. Love the extra classes they receive like rugby

From day one we felt so welcomed at the nursery, everyone from the reception, educators, cleaners, management always takes the time to say hello and ask after you and your child. Our boy has been at the nursery about seven months and has settled in so well. There always seems to be a big variety of
activities and themed learning for the children as well as amazing sounding food! The educators are also great at staying in touch and giving snapshots of the activities in a given week. Couldn’t be happier with the care Hove Village are giving our child.

Initially, my child was not well-versed in English. But since 1 month, she has been communicating well in English, and narrates all her experiences in nursery and we are very pleased with her verbal growth and development.
At the start, my child feared going to this nursery. But nowadays I can frankly

We’ve had a great year at Hove Village. Our child has gone from feeling quite anxious about going to nursery to absolutely loving it, and that’s definitely to the credit of the lovely staff looking after him. My son has been at Hove Village for almost 3 years and during this time has thrived. We feel so happy and confident that he is in a nurturing environment with not only people who care about him and his wellbeing but also a place where he gets to experience so many incredible learning opportunities.
The educators are second to none. Hove Village honestly feels like a second family and a home away from home for our children. Our daughter, now 14 months also started not long ago and she is going from strength to strength in the wonderful care of Wrens. The educators have formed such bonds with her and it’s so beautiful to see.
We couldn’t be more thankful for the experience we’ve had at Hove Village and I wish the kids could stay there forever!

Our twin boys have been attending Hove Village Nursery since they were 13 months old (March 2022 they started) and every day I have always felt so confident handing them over. They settled in so quickly and I put that down to the great care and support from all the educators and other staff. They work
tirelessly providing a constant stream of activities for the children, indoor and outdoor play, and all the messy play I am grateful for that happens at nursery!
The menu is excellent, with so much variety.
My rating is based on what I see from my boys, which is smiles, laughing, tops covered in paint and glitter, they are so happy to be there. I 100% recommend this nursery. Thank you
