Hove Village Day Nursery

We could not recommend it more.

Our son started at HVDN in April, we were really anxious about sending him and weren't sure how he'd do - however we couldn't have asked for a better start. All the staff at HVDN have been so welcoming, warm and kind - not just to our son but to us as well. His key workers have been amazing, showing genuine care and support for his transition and ensuring he settles in. We looked round a number of nurseries and we couldn't be happier with our choice - we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to start their child at nursery in the area.

What a lovely nursery Hove Village is! Always greeted by a friendly face every morning in reception, staff know our daughter by name even if they don't teach her which gives such a warm, friendly and homely feel. Teaching staff have been so great at creating strong bonds with our daughter in every room and it's been a joy to see her gain confidence and thrive during her time at the nursery

Really happy with Hove Village, we have tried another nursery and it was good, but Im happy we made the move full time to HV. Both of my children love attending nursery and I know I'm leaving them in safe hands where they have a great time!

We couldn't be happier with the nursery our 2-year-old daughter attends. From the very beginning, the team has created such a warm, nurturing, and welcoming environment that made settling in feel completely natural for both her and us.

The staff are genuinely caring, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They take the time to understand each child as an individual, which really shows in how confident and happy our daughter is every day. It's been amazing to see how much she's grown socially and emotionally since starting.

The activities are thoughtfully planned and engaging, striking a great balance between learning and play. Whether it's creative arts, outdoor exploration, or early learning exercises, there's always something stimulating that keeps her curious and excited.

Communication with parents is excellent too - we're always kept informed about her day, her development, and any milestones, which gives us real peace of mind.

We have our little one in the wish road nursery. From day one when he joined, they were very supportive and helpful. As our little one has loads of energy, they have managed to keep him busy and make him enjoy the nursery! They have gone lots of time the extra mile and they are coming with suggestions to help the kids and make them learn more and more! I will definitely recommend this nursery.

Our son has been attending Hove Village for over a year now and he has absolutely thrived under the key of the lovely team. They keep us super informed and can see a genuine bond. I love seeing the variety of activities they do, I'm always so impressed.

Our son has been attending nursery since he was 1 year old - he is now 2 years and 8 months! I was nervous at first and was so pleased that they let me come in with him to help and watch him settle, this made a huge difference for us. He's been really happy there ever since, I trust them to look after him and keep us informed if ever he isn't himself in case we want to pick up early etc. Highly recommended.

This is an incredible nursery and I would recommend it to anyone looking to send their child to nursery. It has such a welcoming environment and my child views it as his second home. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they really care about each individual and their needs. It's extremely clean even with all the messy play and exciting activities they get up to daily. They plan new things daily and my son absolutely loves it here. After viewing this nursery I knew it was the one and didn't compare to any of the others I viewed because of the incredible staff, welcoming environment and everything about this nursery ticked all my boxes.

Our child has a great time at the nursery. They offer a lot of creative activities as well as educational ones which helps the kids develop and we can see the difference day after day. The educators have been very helpful and supportive over the time and they try to tailor the schedule around the kids and take children's needs into account.

Much like many of the parents looking at reviews I was keen to understand if this was the right call. When I came across Hove Village after a bad nursery experience for my 20 month old I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision despite recommendations from close friends. I can confirm, wholeheartedly and without a doubt this was the best decision I could have made for my beautiful girl. She is happier than she has ever been and I have never been so sure that I am placing her in the care of people who will give her everything she needs in my absence. The staff are so communicative, friendly, attentive and genuinely passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment for all in their charge. I couldn't recommend this amazing and diverse setting more. Their support has been integral to my girls overall happiness and she is now thriving. My son will be starting in Jan and I can't wait to see how he develops in this versatile and exciting environment.

I couldn't be more pleased with Hove Village Nursery. My daughter joined at nine months and now, as she readies for school, she continues to thrive. She loves going each day, forming strong friendships across rooms and knowing all of the staff, not just her key worker. The curriculum balances play-based learning with school-readiness: in the past six months she's come home excited about letters, phonics, numbers, and creative projects. The recent refurbishment has transformed rooms, communal areas, and the garden into vibrant, resource-rich spaces. Hove Village Nursery feels like an extended family, nurturing her confidence, curiosity, and social skills.

I have had both of my girls grow up in Hove Village for the last 4 years. They have been so happy and encouraged and I have loved them being there as a parent. I have trusted in the staff fully and felt kept up to date and that my babies were well looked after. Very sad our time with them has ended but they were part of an excellent start for them both. I am overwhelmed with happiness because of the care and creativity at Hove Village Nursery. My 4-year-old has flourished at your setting as she has been given the space and, most importantly, the understanding she needed to get over some bad past experiences at previous settings which led to built-up anxiety. I have done work on myself as a parent too which has also been a massive factor as I have learnt to change my approaches to her needs. This will change as she grows older and has different challenges. However, a child's start in life is important to set the tone for the future, so I am glad she ended her preschool life at Hove Village. She is very ready for school and was the happiest and most excited yesterday as we visited her new school.

Hove Village is an excellent nursery that both my children have attended from a young age and we've always had a great level of care. Following the upgrade of outdoor facilities, these have certainly improved but could further benefit from other outdoor resources. Staff have always been friendly and provided feedback/ detailed overviews via the app.

My daughter has been at Hove Village for a year now and the whole team have been fantastic. I found it very hard to leave her in the beginning and truthfully I wasn't ready to leave her and go back to work but Hove Village were brilliant and made it so much easier. The staff always sent me a reassuring message, updating me on her activities after a tricky drop-off and were so kind and understanding. Photos and updates throughout the day via the app are a pleasure to receive and really help when you're missing your little person. The staff in general are so lovely and were great at supporting through potty training too. The children do loads of activities such as yoga, dancing, rugby etc and visit the park regularly. The food at the nursery is fantastic and smells amazing every day I pick her up. I would recommend HV anyone and do it regularly.
