Hitchin House Day Nursery

We've watched both of our children flourish during their time here. Their confidence, independence, communication skills and social development have grown enormously, and we know that is thanks to the incredible staff. I can't recommend it more.

I was thrilled to be offered a place for my second child at Hitchin House after a wonderful experience with my eldest a few years ago. My child is currently in the baby room and will be moving into the toddler room shortly and he absolutely loves nursery so far and comes home happy and very well fed! The staff provide thorough and personal feedback on how his days are and it's very clear that they genuinely care so much about all the children. Hitchin House is once again proving to be wonderfully nurturing environment - highly recommended!

Our daughter has spent 3 years at Hitchin House and will sadly be leaving in September for school. We have loved our time at Hitchin House and could not recommend more highly. The staff are all so caring and friendly. There are so many opportunities for the children to learn and become more confident (yoga and lab tots are favourite activities). The nursery environment is so enriching from the garden to multiple inside art areas, the climbing wall, sensory room etc. It's suited our daughter perfectly since age one to school. Food is prepared fresh on site, is healthy, varied and nutritious. My daughter has made some great friends at Hitchin House and as parents we have too - the parents socials have been a great way to get to know everyone better. We'll be sad to leave this summer but know another child will be fortunate to join the wonderful Hitchin House!

Hitchin house is a wonderful nursery. From my experience, the staff have been very kind, caring, professional and knowledgeable. No question or communication is too silly or small. My son settled in so well from the beginning. Their communication has been outstanding. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

This nursery is truly outstanding, and the Ofsted rating is absolutely well deserved. I honestly cannot fault a single aspect of it. The cleanliness, support, curriculum, attention to detail, toys, infrastructure, and food - everything is top notch.

As working parents, it can be incredibly difficult to leave your little ones in someone else's care. But having the confidence that they will be looked after so well provides immense reassurance and allows you to go to work without that constant worry or guilt.

The staff are amazing and genuinely caring. I would especially like to thank the Snug Room team. My daughter is always so happy to see them, and it's clear that they care deeply for her. Beyond all the wonderful care and activities, they shower her with so much love, and you can truly see the bond they share.

Hitchin house day nursery is a brilliant nursery. Our son is thriving there. The staff work really hard to deliver a brilliant experience and that is really felt. The staff are always available to help and answer questions. Our son loves all the toys, the outdoor space and all the activities. We are very pleased with our experience and genuinely very grateful to the staff for looking after our son who is the most precious person to us.

Hitchin House Nursery is a great place where the management really puts in the effort to organise some amazing activities for the children in addition to the excellent care they receive every day from the kind and professional staff. My child genuinely loves to go to the nursery and she's always really excited to tell me about what a fantastic day she had when I pick her up. Couldn't ask for more really!

We could not have asked for a better start to our daughter's learning journey than with Hitchin House Day Nursery. It is a testament to the staff that our daughter so greatly looks forward to attending this nursery every week. The staff have been phenomenal in their care for our daughter and have created a fun, imaginative and stimulating environment for all the children in their care to learn, gain confidence in their own abilities and to develop socially. The nursery is constantly hosting special activities for the children like Lab Tots, Super Sports and Yoga that our daughter enthusiastically tells us about. The facilities at the nursery really are second-to-none (how many other nurseries have an indoor climbing wall and a proscenium arch stage?). We are leaving Hitchin in the next couple of months so will be very sad to leave this incredibly happy place behind but I know that our daughter will look back on her time here with enormous fondness.

TOP NURSERY IN HITCHIN! Everything about Hitchin House is exceptional, from the facilities staff, level of care and attention to detail over your child's development. From day one, they reassured us that our child was being well looked after and made a real effort to ensure our child settled in smoothly. They send you pictures throughout the day via the app so you can see what your child get's up to while you're at work. They also do a great job at building a community amongst the parents and put on a number of social events and enablement sessions for you throughout the year. Highly recommend Hitchin House you won't be disappointed.

This nursery is a brilliant nursery and has everything my daughter needs, she enjoys nursery a lot and she is very fond of the staff. There are lots of different things for the children to do and my daughter learns something new all the time, she has progressed so much since starting nursery and has made friends. I have no doubt my daughter will continue to grow in the years to come with the nursery and make many more friends. I am so glad she has been able to be part of this nursery.

I can't praise Hitchin House and all of the staff enough. The facilities are outstanding, as is the level of care and attention that the staff provide. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the children and their development. My daughter has been attending for almost 2 years and has not once been hesitant to go inside in the morning. She always comes out beaming, excited to tell me what she's been up to that day (currently she's obsessed with the climbing wall) . They really do go the extra mile, from dancing, yoga, Montessori activities and currently watching their classroom caterpillars turn into a butterflies, it's always a joy hearing what they're doing to ensure the children are engaged and learning new things/life skills.

They keep parents well informed with photos and updates.

We're so happy with the care and attention our daughter receives at Hitchin House. Every single staff member seems to genuinely care about her, which makes having to say goodbye to her every morning a lot easier. She absolutely loves going to nursery and seems to have the best time. It's a really special place and we couldn't be happier with the nursery. We'd highly recommend Hitchin House!

Outstanding nursery, staff, level of care and facilities. My daughter loves going to nursery here. Can't fault the nursery. Only one very minor comment is that drop off/pick up times could be quicker.

The most amazing staff! The whole nursery has been adapted to the needs of our son, both the staff and ensuring the best equipment for learning and playing! There is nothing I could fault them on other than the fact that I wish the age to stay was higher so that he could be there throughout his whole childhood.

The team really helped support our child's settling-in period and now he's thriving. The nursery is great with communication, letting us know well in advance of any issues in the local area, events that are running in the nursery and our child's personal development. There are too many people to thank, but as a whole, thank you for your hard work and support with our child's learning and development - you are great!

Hitchin House has been fantastic for our son. The staff are warm and caring and take the time to tell us what our son has been getting up to. The range of activities provided is wonderful - he is always learning new things and is stimulated and cared for.

Hitchin House is a wonderful nursery, the staff take great care of all the children. We have two children at Hitchin House and they both love it. Staff go above and beyond to meet the children's needs, are friendly and approachable. The facilities and equipment are in excellent condition and constantly updated.

I wish I could go to nursery to have so much fun. The workshop space is lovely and the fact the children are encouraged to do self-serving is also something very important t to me. A skill for life. The staff are always incredibly friendly and know the children.
