Hitchin House Day Nursery opened in March 2020. It was started by a team of very experienced nursery professionals who set out to offer something truly different and special - a magical play and learning environment for children aged up to 5 years.

From the highly experienced team of staff to the superb equipment and resources, every aspect of the nursery has been carefully considered to ensure that children are safe, engaged, excited and encouraged to develop a love of learning and discovery.

Having moved from another local nursery our little boy has got his spark back and we couldn’t be happier. Whilst we’ve only been here 2 months my son happily runs in every morning and comes home smiling.
The staff went above and beyond to show us around, answer all our questions with no pressure placed
on us to make a speedy decision.
They are quick to respond to any request or query. Their use of the daily app is a fantastic touch and is regularly updated throughout the day. I can clearly see the variety of stimulating activities on offer. Their outside space is well used.

Simply the best nursery and team in Hitchin. The manager and her team just know how to run and put together a nursery experience second to none. Both our children have had the best start to their education! Worth every penny!

Our daughter has attended Hitchin House for 9 months. She started when she had just turned 1 and has recently moved to the toddler room. She settled in well initially and made the switch to the toddler room with no problems. The staff are great with the children and the managers are very experienced.
Communication is excellent, we receive photos and updates throughout the day and any questions are answered promptly.
The rooms are very well equipped and there’s a range of activities and types of toys for the kids to engage with. All I can say is that my daughter enjoys her time there and we have been well informed about what she does and any other information about the nursery as needed.

My daughter has been attending Hitchin House Day Nursery since June 2020 and she has adored it from day one. She attends three days a week and always has an amazing time. She has moved from the Den to Explorers and has loved it in both rooms. The staff are fantastic and we send her in safe in the knowledge
that she will be stimulated with a wide range of activities, from messy play to yoga and that she will have lots of fun! The food always sounds delicious and varied so it's also a huge relief to know she is eating decent and balanced meals. The app used by the nursery to share photos and updates is great, it's always such a treat to get an update and see what she is up to. Would highly recommend to any parent.

Hands down the best nursery you could send your child to! Our son has been a the nursery since it opened and could not be happier. Every morning he runs in and barely says goodbye. We think he’d even prefer to be there on the weekend then home with us! They offer incredible resources, wonderful thoughtful
staff and the best facilities. We know as parents our child is in the best childcare setting possible! If you are considering a nursery for your child, look no further then the amazing Hitchin House Day Nursery.

I can't recommend Hitchin House Day Nursery enough. My son started aged eleven months. he is now twenty one months and the staff put him and me at ease instantly. He has learnt so much, it amazes me how quickly he has grown and every week he does something at home that I haven't taught him so I know
it's Hitchin House Day Nursery that has. The staff are wonderful, that teamed up with the most incredible equipment, toys and books makes it an absolute dream. There is no doubt I will keep my son there until its time for school. Special shout out to kitchen staff, he eats like a King!

My seventeen month old daughter settled in very well and I can see how her development has excelled over the last seven months since starting at Hitchin House Day Nursery. The staff are warm, caring and encouraging. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hitchin House Day Nursery.

Our son has been at Hitchin House Day Nursery for seven months now and he loves it. They made sure he settled in well, the communication is really good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and any questions or concerns are fully investigated and answered. The little touches
like foot measuring and themed play are the icing on the cake.

This nursery goes above and beyond and we’re extremely happy that our son attends. The staff are attentive and professional, the facilities are fantastic and everything is looked after.
Any concern is treated promptly, not that there are many though! I love how they are able to approach the children’s
needs individually.

I would give this nursery six stars if I could. My son has been there since it opened and he has loved every second, he's disappointed to go home sometimes! The carers are fantastic, they get to know the children so well and genuinely care. The range of activities available is impressive and probably
most important for a two year old boy, there is plenty of space to run around. My son is nicely exhausted when he comes home. The garden is a great space for them and the provision of the other activity rooms is second to none. All obviously thought out by people who understand and care deeply about children's development and experience. The only drawback is that the age limit is five years and I would like to spend time myself there as it looks so much fun. Maybe corporate weekends?

Difficult to find adequate adjectives about how secure we feel sending our son to this beautiful, caring, nurturing nursery. The owners/managers know exactly how to design, equip, manage and staff their facility. Children are cared for as individuals with patience and compassion. We thank our lucky
stars we had the chance for our son to go. Although COVID keeps us at the door - we have total trust in the care of the staff. A rare, wonderful place.

My daughter has been going to Hitchin House since it opened and I can't recommend it highly enough! The resources available are fantastic and my daughter has developed so much physically with lots of new skills but also mentally with her confidence. Most importantly all the staff have such a great,
caring attitude and it really seems like we are part of the Hitchin House family. In addition to this, both myself and my husband are key workers and the nursery has been so amazing in enabling us to work through this challenging time. Thank you Hitchin House!

Our one-year-old daughter has been attending Hitchin House Day Nursery for a week now and the staff have been absolutely amazing during her settling in, ensuring that she’s comforted when unsettled and keeping in close contact with us during what could otherwise be a very testing time. All of the staff
that we’ve met who have been taking care of her have been friendly and reassuring. So far, so good! Would definitely recommend.

I am absolutely thrilled that my husband and I decided to send our daughter to Hitchin House. Her development has been incredible since she started at 12 months old. It feels like the leadership team have thought of everything when it comes to children's development and having fun. They mean it when
they say 'call anytime'! The carers seem to really love children. They send good updates and give a thorough end of day summary. They also hosted a Parent's Evening that was reassuring and a great opportunity to make sure we are aligned.
There is a good and mixed variety of meals and snacks. I really like that everything is prepared from scratch onsite.
The nursery also go above and beyond with little extras. I was overwhelmed at Christmas when we got calendars, personalised tree decorations and my daughter also got a gorgeous gift.
Finally and most importantly, I believe the nursery have done everything to keep our children and their employees safe during such difficult times.

Our 3-year-old daughter has been going to Hitchin House Day Nursery since September 2020 and we are extremely happy with the care taken to help her settle and to grow in confidence over the past few months. We love the approach taken by Hitchin House; the resources available to the children are incredible
and give them so many opportunities to explore (and learn) through play. The staff are so friendly but also knowledgable and professional. The effort put into a “home learning” programme when so many children had to self-isolate recently was incredible, highlighting the adaptability and commitment the team have to our children and their wellbeing. We look forward to our younger son joining his sister later this year.

There are probably not enough words to express my gratitude to this nursery. In the midst of Covid sending the twins to nursery for the first time without settling in sessions that we could attend, was a terrifying prospect. Hitchin House Day Nursery did everything to make this process as easy as possible,
to keep us informed and our minds at rest. Within a couple of months our twins run in without hesitation, happy and content which is a true testament to the holistic care provided. The regular updates of the girls' activities, the variety of activities and the exposure to different foods is exceptional. I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough, staff have really made a commitment to provide gold standard care for the children who attend there.

Wow...what a nursery! My daughter absolutely loves it here (after taking more than a year to settle into her previous one). The environment and facilities are second to none and the staff and management team are absolutely fantastic!
I cannot fault the nursery - we love it so much!
Actually, if
there’s anything I could change it would be a bigger parking space but that is a luxury that has nothing to do with your child’s happiness.

My son started here when it first opened, he has come on leaps and bounds since being here, the resources in this outstanding nursery are the best I’ve seen and I have seen hundreds of nurseries within my occupation. The staff communicate amazingly and the updates and pictures we get throughout the
day on what my son's doing goes above and beyond and gives me peace of mind. The knowledge from the management team to all members of staff is outstanding and this shows with the care, love and support they show my son and us as parents. Highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has attended Hitchin House since June 2020 and absolutely loves it. The staff are excellent and really seem to care about the children. The range of activities both indoors and outdoors is excellent and my daughter has progressed in leaps and bounds since starting there.
