Park Hill is a wonderful nursery. Our son, who started there when just turned two, has absolutely flourished. Now in his pre-school year, and thanks to the brilliant teachers and staff, he is confident, happy and making brilliant progress in all aspects of learning (from maths to woodland school and everything in between). The whole school ethos gives even the littlest children a real sense of belonging and great role models to look up to. I would recommend the nursery to anyone looking to give their child a great foundation to take into their school years and beyond.
When we did the initial visit, the Headmaster took us round for a tour and we were able to visit each class. When we got to Year 6 (age 10-11), the Headmaster asked what the children were up to; one little girl said that they had been reading the Shakespeare play Richard III, another rose to say that they'd all written their own version of the play, and then a final child got up to say that one of those plays had been chosen and they were going to make it on green screen.
I was struck not just by the confidence and the engagement of the children, but also the opportunities they were being given - I'd have loved that when I was little - with that and the classroom technology focus, it's an easy decision to keep our son here right the way through.
My children have flourished at Park Hill. The best decision I have made for their future. A small school with small classes which means extra attention. There's a real community amongst the parents and the school.
My girl has blossomed at Park Hill. The teachers are caring and very attentive, we could not be happier. The staff as well is always very positive, there is always a welcoming smile when they open the door and you feel you are leaving your child in good hands, which is very important for parents!
Our son has attended nursery and reception since January 2018 and we are extremely happy with the school, the staff, the overall quality of the teaching and most importantly, the progress our son has made since. We are also very happy with the school direction under the Headteacher.
Strongly recommended!
A first-class nursery that I would highly recommend to others. Blend really well academia, care and fun.
First Steps was a lovely nurturing environment with really caring teachers. Since he joined Second Steps last September he has really grown up; the teachers are very dedicated to the development of each child. They hold many events throughout the year so we feel part of the school community. Great nursery and school!
Our son goes to Park Hill School & Nursery and has enjoyed the full weight of enthusiasm and creativity of the teachers, staff and principal!
