Park Hill at Kingston Hill has been a great source of learning and development for my kid. All the teachers and staff of the nursery are thorough, professional and really very supportive to the child's needs. I wish them good luck in their future endeavours.

I cannot speak highly enough of the Park Hill Nursery where our daughter attended for over 2 years. The learning opportunities they provided from day 1 were amazing and the caring staff have always gone above and beyond to ensure that our daughter felt supported, nurtured and engaged in her learning
journey. The nursery's dedication to providing an enriching educational experience truly shone through in every aspect of its programme. Our daughter developed academically, socially and emotionally under their guidance. I am especially impressed by the excellent preparation our daughter received for starting reception. The nursery truly laid a strong foundation for her future academic success and instilled in her a love for learning. I am immensely grateful to the entire team for the positive impact they have had on our daughter's early years. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing and stimulating environment for their child's early education.

Absolutely thrilled with our experience at this nursery! The staff are both professional and caring, always ready with a hug and a smile. From the warm morning welcomes to the positive and happy atmosphere throughout the day, it truly feels like a family. The facilities are fantastic, and the creative
ideas for playing and learning have accelerated our kids' literacy and math skills. Our girls have become independent, confident, and full of positive energy. The headteacher is charismatic, passionate, and engaged, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere. Highly recommend this school for anyone seeking a nurturing environment for their children to grow wonderfully.

My son has been in the nursery for more than a year now and he enjoys it very much. The staff are lovely and everything is well organised. The staff were particularly good when my son was settling in, comforting and distracting him. A great nursery I would definitely recommend.

Our daughter joined Park Hill School and Nursery First Steps in Oct. The staff took great care during the settlement sessions to welcome her and make her comfortable. They are all very professional, caring and supportive, ready to offer help whenever we need it. Our daughter is very happy at the nursery
since joined. I like the frequent updates on children's activities from both the app and the newsletter. The staff are always happy and available to discuss when we pick up the child from school. I would definitely recommend Park Hill to other parents.

Our son is an introvert and always feels insecure. During the first month in Park Hill, he cried every morning before entering the classroom. We were worried about him.
After three months, our son is addicted to the school life. He will share with us what he was doing in school, what he ate, and who
played with him. I am pretty happy with his changes, and I think the school's friendly environment and the teachers' patience contribute a lot to this.

My seven-year-old son joined Park Hill School's Year 3 cohort in September 2023. He adapted incredibly well and loved it instantly. The school itself is set up on such a nice ground, the kids get plenty of sunlight (as much as possible in our beautiful London) and fresh air. Everyone is so kind and
helpful. We loved it so much we decided to bring his baby sister to the nursery and it did not disappoint. I also love the fact that my little ones are together and we look forward to them growing up together and making beautiful memories in the same school.

We have one child in Second Steps and another in year two. Moving to Park Hill was the best decision we made. Our children are stretched and tested but encouraged and supported. We receive clear and regular feedback which helps us support all the great work the school is doing. The school promote and
embraces technology which is a huge plus too. The teaching is exemplary and the teachers show real empathy and understanding of the individual needs. The school is led brilliantly and there's a great community spirit.

Our daughter has experienced a significant transition (moving and changing nursery at the same time) during the time she joined Park Hill. Her settling sessions have soon become a heartbreaking scene for me. However all the teachers in her class were very supportive, they have tried different approaches
and ways to help my daughter during this difficult time, slowly to rebuild her confidence, and now she becomes herself again, happy and confident!

Park Hill School and Nursery is a warm, nurturing and caring place to be. My child has never not wanted to go. He has made some lovely friends and talks about his experiences with animation and excitement. The staffing team take extra care to develop each child with a focus on individual needs. They
build close relationships with the children due to it being relatively small. The learning and extracurricular activity is delivered to a very good level. It's home from home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others!

Our son joined Park Hill School & Nursery (second steps) this school year after a move from overseas. Initially, we thought he would struggle with adaptation to a new environment but he's been quite happy to go there every day from the very beginning. He is full of joy whenever we pick him up and surely
likes spending time there. Thanks to the teachers and staff for taking care of our little ones.

My boy joined Park Hill Nursery when he was two. He was very shy at the beginning and was not social at all. The teachers were very patient and caring to help him settle in. After six months, he is quite confident, talkative and outgoing. He enjoys various activities at nursery and has developed a lot
in his language/communication. He is also very social now and interacts with peers/teachers actively. We can feel he is very happy in this nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Park Hill nursery since she was two years old. Teachers are excellent, they give private attention to each child and help with their specific developments and needs. Nursery benefits from schools' outdoor and indoor spaces and children often play in the outdoor areas
and get fresh air all the time even during winter months. Our daughter developed herself a lot since she started Park Hill, she is now in Second Steps in the nursery and she literally loves going to Park Hill. As full-time working parents, we feel very lucky to know that our daughter is in good hands during the day. The only thing that the nursery can improve is the daily communication with the parents, we wish we would learn more about their daily activities and meals. But apart from that, we are very happy with the nursery and wish our daughter to continue to the preparatory school.

Park Hill has provided a nurturing and wholesome environment for our son to develop in nursery. Having kept him at home during the pandemic until he was two, he had some catching up to do. A year later his growth has been amazing to watch. He has grown in confidence and is fond of all the staff. Impressively
the nursery is constantly evaluating areas for development and regularly communicate any feedback on what they are doing and what we can do to reinforce things. Could not recommend it more highly.

Parkhill Nursery is run by a fabulous team of specialist nursery teachers and teaching assistants. Both of my children have been enrolled at the nursery and we as parents can’t speak more highly of the level of care and nurturing that they received there. As parents, you often wonder if your child will
be happy once you have dropped them off or whether they are struggling, but you can rest assured that the team go out of their way to ensure that they are entertained throughout the day and will support parents to overcome any initial teething issues when they first start. The Manager and her team played a vital role in helping get my daughter settled in so quickly, especially with her having had little to no time away from my wife and I, due to the Covid pandemic. They have left a delightful, lasting impression on her, to the point that her eyes light up when we mention her teacher's names or that she will be going to school that morning. We can’t thank them enough!

My son moved from a day nursery to Park Hill School & Nursery for Second Steps and settled in immediately. The staff are welcoming and enthusiastic and, even with the many Covid restrictions, good at involving you in your child’s progress. It was a great foundation for his move to reception this year.
The nursery classes are very much included with the rest of the school and are involved in things like school productions which is great for them (and very sweet). I would definitely recommend Park Hill.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.838) out of 10 for The Orchard Day Nursery, Kingston (formerly Park Hill School & Nursery) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.838 for The Orchard Day Nursery, Kingston (formerly Park Hill School & Nursery) is calculated as follows: ( (221 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 260 Ratings = 4.838
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Orchard Day Nursery, Kingston (formerly Park Hill School & Nursery) is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 number of registered child places is 8.8, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
