Elm House Day Nursery Childwall

Elm House is a wonderful nursery. I currently have one child attending and have had previous siblings attend in the past. All have settled really well and loved being in nursery. Staff in the setting are very attentive to children's needs and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The environment is lovely and really well-used. Children are always playing outside and experiencing different types of weather. Staff regularly plan fun activities for the children to enjoy and this is fed back to parents and put on the nursery app. Staff and management are always warm and friendly and it's clear they have a passion for being with the children.

This used to be an amazing nursery. It had a real homely feel and lovely vibe. Unfortunately, this is not the case anymore. Despite the lovely outside area the vibe and homely feel has disappeared. The owners don't appear to care much for the place or the families that it serves with a 48% hike in fees over the past 3 years to £67/day with little more to show for this. They also charge £10 per day for food on top of this. The children usually get a piece of toast for breakfast, then lunch and an afternoon snack of breadstick and Cucumber. They won't allow packed lunches. Parent views are never taken into consideration and fees are hiked with only a few week's notice, not giving parents enough time to source alternative childcare providers. There has been a massive turnover of staff in the last few years which is not good for the consistency for the children. Although a few years ago I would have definitely recommended this nursery, it is with regret and sorrow that I can't do that anymore.

Elm House is a lovely nursery. All the staff are so friendly and they all seem to know the children, it is a real family feel. The staff are so thoughtful and kind and really seem to care about the kids. They’re always doing interesting and fun things. The garden area is great and the children are out every day.

We've been taking our daughter to the nursery for 2 and a half years and we've had no issues at all. The communication has been excellent and made even better with the introduction of the app. We've been given lots of feedback on the academic and social progress she has made and we are currently being supported with her preparation for primary school.

Elm House is like an extended family, such a homely feel, good range of home cooked meals and snacks. The staff are very caring, they are truly wonderful, you could not leave your children in safer hands. The outside space alone is fantastic. The support for starting school our little girl received was outstanding but we knew long before then that Elm House was 'the one' our little boy is equally as happy in Elm House. Our daughter who has gone through to school now entered very tearful, some separation anxiety and left a confident happy little girl. 110% recommend.

We have recently had a second child who will also be attending Elm House as we have had such a positive experience so far.

I've had two children attend so far and both have been so happy there.

Excellent care from staff, the children love the activities and the outdoor space that's used year-long. Both my children have attended and have been well cared for and well prepared for school when leaving. The staff are all lovely and very few have left over the five years I have used the nursery, giving great continuity for the children.

The team at Elm House have all been brilliant with our son from his first day. They do so many great activities with the children daily and the parents are always well-informed with regular updates. The management are always helpful and flexible. Very happy with Elm House overall and have no doubt our son will achieve his full potential there. Thank you.

My son has been at Elm House for over two years now and I couldn’t praise them more. The staff are amazing. My son has had some late development and they have gone above and beyond with him. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

My son started Elm house when he was 1 and has been attending for around a year and a half now and he absolutely loves it! I was so nervous about leaving him at first, but now he runs in and loves going in to see his friends and the staff. He has come on so much and learnt so many new things. The staff have always kept me up to date with his progress and always get to see photos of him enjoying himself! The staff are very attentive, caring and supportive towards me and my son. They have great outdoor space and lots of fun activities for the children. Would recommend this nursery to everyone with young children!

My son has attended Elm House since he was 9 months old and is now 3. He settled really quickly and I really feel that the staff love him and he enjoys being there. My daughter will be starting in the few weeks and I feel confident she will equally settle quickly and enjoy being there.

A truly magnificent nursery to develop all skills in the most enchanting and inspiring of environments, particularly the outdoor play areas (I wish I had an outdoor facility like this when I was growing up!). It is clear that the staff are trained to a very high level but always seem keen to progress their knowledge and understanding and are thoroughly engaging with both the children and parents. The newly received app is fun and promotes all the great activities that our little boy enjoys every day. Elm House Day Nursery Childwall is an outstanding nursery and we could not recommend this enough.

Elm House is a wonderful nursery with the added luxury of large, beautiful walled gardens for lots of outdoor play.

Elm House Day Nursery Childwall is a fantastic nursery! My daughter absolutely loves it and that is everything to me! The staff are all excellent at what they do and are all very friendly. The outdoor space for the children is amazing. My son is also joining soon and I know he is also going to enjoy it as much as my daughter does.

Excellent nursery, would highly recommend. My child loves it, so happy to get a place for her sister too who will start in May. Can't thank all the girls and staff enough for their hard work, daily. This is a nursery with a lovely, family feel. The staff really know all the children, especially those who they’re key worker for. The nursery is happy to work with you, as a parent/carer, through the more challenging milestones, support to both child and parents alike. The thing that attracted me to the nursery was the amazing outdoor space and it does not disappoint. The nursery use it in activities to teach the children about nature and the world around them. Lovely nursery and I’m happy that my child attends.

The managers and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly to the girls and know all the children that attend. They take part in lots of fun and educational activities as well as spend lots of time playing in the fantastic outdoor garden which was one of the main reasons I chose Elm House!

Both of my girls are so happy to go into nursery and have great relationships with their carers. Overall we are so pleased we chose Elm House Gateacre.

Great staff and brilliant facilities. Both of our children absolutely love going there and have built really strong bonds with the staff and other children. They have developed massively since starting. Highly recommend Elm House.

My little boy goes here and absolutely loves it, has a massive smile on his face when we pul up in the car. The staff are all amazing with him and have been massive in helping him develop. Couldn’t wish for a better place or nicer people to look after my little boy.
